  • prost was always favoured by the FIA. Look at the video of sazuka 89. prost turned in way to eairly. and yet who the did FIA give the WDC to.... Prost.

  • @shanem365 Yes.

  • Is that Eddie Jordan to the left of Senna?

  • i just have seen at the end of the film the unity of the formula one teams ... none wanted senna s opinion ...shame ...

  • @Gioagla It's the contrary. They all voted IN FAVOR of Senna's proposal for the change on the track.

  • 0:31 if you look closely you can see Eddie Jordan sitting next to senna

  • Olha não é o Hakkinen novinho ali no canto do lado do Senna?

  • whos putting their hand up at 4:20 lol

  • The best part is at 4:20 hehe

  • Ayrton Senna, the biggest cheat in Formula 1 history. Search "swallowAyrtonSenna" and you'll see why!

  • @RGBSF, "swallowAyrtonSenna" youtube channel is a hater of Ayrton Senna and a fan of Michael Schumacher. It is sad that Schumacher's fans has to stoop that low and make such as channel to deflect Schumacher's own cheating which tainted his legacy.

  • @RYnMZ Senna was the master of cheating, no doubt about it that Schumacher thought it was okay because of Senna.

  • @RGBSF I never saw Senna doing what Schumacher did to Hill, Villeneuve and Barichello. What Senna did to Prost was due to him being pissed at Balestre for changing the pole position (this is the case argued by schumacher fans against senna). Senna was indeed insane in taking the first corner but never a cheat as Schumacher was. That's the difference, Senna was passionate and insane, Schumacher is passionate and a cheat.

  • @brav0wing Mr. Watch Monaco 1988 before say that. Senna was 55 seconds ahead the second place. The second was a guy called Alain Prost.

  • @RGBSF Senna was insane and that was due to his overheated passion but never a cheat!

  • @brav0wing Reviewing 1994, both Hill and Murray Walker have come out and claimed Schumacher didn't cheat. Villeneuve incident was and decisions again Barrichello came down to the team. The pole position placement didn't change, it was the same in 1989 as it was in 1990. Senna know it was a disadvantage and tried to change it. That didn't work so instead he nearly killed himself and Prost for a championship. 1989 was a complete cheat, people can't spin that.

  • @brav0wing To quote the legendary Jackie Stewart "You've had far more contacts with other drivers than other great racing drivers have." In other words, Senna crashed in to more drivers than any other F1 race driver ever.

  • Who put their hand up? the funny part.

  • mika can be happy to sit next to him...

  • I like the two Camel boys in the front. How the Camel logo is altered but still very recognisable.

  • Balestre's a son of a bitch!

  • everyone's like... "uh... should I say something or...?"

  • Can a Senna fanboy explain to me how Prost "stole a world championship title" to Senna ? Or how "Politics prevented Senna from winning at least 2 WC" ? (why not 7 WC while you're at it, asshole ?)

  • @Shogo5000 I'm not argueing with anybody about how much wc's Senna could win ..

But it's obvious that when you've watched the documantary about senna's life , it's clearly that

they took atleast 2 wc's from him with the prost rubish.

  • @Shogo5000 woah calm down...

  • @Shogo5000 They can't argue (like Kevizzle05 for example), because there are no arguments ;) I do think it was unfair what Balestre did to Senna concerning Japan '89, anyway, he would have lost this WC because he DNF in the last race '89... and '93? Prost arranged for Williams to not let Senna be his team-mate...however, this is Senna's own fault due to his behavior in Imola '89, when he passed Prost contrary to their agreement...its no surprise that Prost was pissed off since then.

  • @Gryphon1984 Balestre wasn't responsible for the DQ at Suzuka 89. Anyway Prost led the championship at 76 points to 60 for Senna before the 2 last GPs, it was almost impossible for Senna to be champion, so Prost totally deserve the title this year. It's true that Prost vetoed Senna with Williams in 93, but Senna did the same thing with Warwick in 86 or 87 at Lotus

  • @Shogo5000

Balestre wasn't responsible?.... I can't know that for sure. Balestre was a old arrogant bastard in love with Prost, more likely responsible for that DQ. BTW, without that DQ guess whom should be the 89 champion?. Right...Senna!.

  • @Axon36 How could he disqualify Senna himself ? Only the stewards can. And as I explain, Prost had 16 points over Senna before the 2 last races, Senna would have lost the title even if he wasn't DQ at Suzuka. BTW without the stupid "best 11 scores rule" in 1988 and without Senna's dirty trick at Suzuka 90, guess who should be the 88 & 90 champion ? Right... Prost

  • @Shogo5000

You don't know too much about politics, bud. Nevermind, the "best 11 score rule" was indeed moronic but that what you call a dirty trick I call it get even.

  • @Shogo5000 Up to 1988, the best scores rule ALWAYS existed in F1, except from 1981 to 1984. Prost won three of his four titles with this "stupid" rule. Senna won just one out of his three. In 1988 it was one rare time when this rule was effective (the other time was 1964) and changed the champion, awarding the BEST pilot, not only the most regular or luckiest.

  • @fernandovogel this is simply not true. Prost won the 1985 title with 73 pts over Alboreto with 53, without the "best 11 scores" rule he would have won with 76 vs 53 anyway. And he won the 1986 Championship with 72 pts over Mansell with 70, without the rule he would have won with 74 vs 72. And he won the 1989 Titel with 76 pts over Senna with 60, without the rule he would have won with 81 vs 60. This rule did not help Alain winning anything.

  • @TheColinChapman What isnt true? In 85, 86 and 89 the rule existed, although you are true that it did not change the results in favour of "Alain" (are you intimate with him?). You forget to mention that In 83 and 84 Prost was the absolute favorit for the title and lost, and the rule at the time stated that all results counted (and the "best 11 scores" would make no difference because the cars were not reliable enough for that). So that rule did not helped him either...

  • @TheColinChapman The true is, you missed the hole point. Prost never complained about the rule, even because it brought good luck to him. The "best scores" rule existed since 1950. And it was created with a single purpose: to award the fastest driver, not the one that had less mechanical failures. The rule worked as intended only in 64 and 88. In 88 Senna bested Prost constantly (to say the true, in 89 too), but had more mechanical problems. That`s it

  • @fernandovogel I think you are missing the point. Prost never had to complain about the rule since it didn't make any difference. The purpose of the rule is correct as you cited- to award the driver with the best top results, regardless of potential technical failures. Regarding Ayrtons technical problems in detail - he was more aggressive on the car than Alain, which didn't always pay off for him. The both had the same material, but Ayrton had more technical problems - he had them for a reason.

  • @TheColinChapman First of all, i would like to thank you for keeping the discussion at a high level. Lets go to the facts: in 88 Prost was leading the championship up to 10th round. He was leading because Senna crashed stupidly in Monaco (no car failure) and Senna had a gearbox problem AT THE START of the Brazilian GP (and was later disqualified for using the spare car). Or would you say that he pushed to hard during the warm up lap? (Continues)

  • @TheColinChapman After the 10th round, both drivers failed to finish at the 12th round (Monza). At the 13th round (the infamous 88 Portuguease GP) Senna had problems with his fuel meter also from the OPENING LAPS. He managed to come 6th, but Prost retook the lead. In Spain (the 14th round) Senna had problems with the fuel meter AGAIN, from the start. And Prost won (Senna finished 4th). I cant imagine how a fuel meter can broke because of the drivers agressiveness...

  • @TheColinChapman My point is, Prost is a great pilot, great strategist. I prefer him over Schumacher (whose curse was not having someone to be measured up except for Hakkinen, to whom he lost twice). But I admire much more a pilot that is the pinnacle of speed, courage and aggressiveness than one that is known for conserving the tires and not breaking the car. Prost used the same weapons Lauda used against him in 84, after recognizing that Prost was faster: constancy

  • @fernandovogel You couldn't give Villeneuve any credit for beating Schui in 97? I mean the only people who challenged the great Schui were of course Senna, Hill, Villeneuve, Hakkinen and Alonso. Let not forget Barrichello was quicker at times than Schui but ferrari never really let them have at it

  • @Projectekon The only Villeneuve I admire is Gilles (for the same reasons I admire Senna). In 96 and 97 Williams was absolutely dominant. When he piloted inferior machines (which is the kind of situation that allows the outstanding pilots to truly show their talent) Jaques achieved nothing. Hill is a joke, I am sorry. Barrichello too. And Alonso is a very talented pilot, very similar to Schumacher (in my opinion), but he wasnt around to challenge MS when he won his 7 titles...

  • @TheColinChapman You're right, Prost never needed the best finishes rule to win a WCT, as he never needed the FISA or Honda engineers favors over his teamate, i'd try to explain but it's useless to discuss with fanboys

  • Hakkinen looks bored... him and Kimi are so alike

  • @kinslowdian yeah... I wonder if Kimi still like that when he comes back to F1.

  • @ChuckNorrisOfF1 Kimi and Mika are very similar, they're both mentally quick at Spa... faster than Schumacher

  • I am French and was a huge fan of Senna from young.... Balestre and Prost stole one world championship title to Ayrton...none of the French media considered it as a hold up...it made me sick... Shame on those useless people. RIP Ayrton.

  • I honestly believe that French should be banned from executive positions in sport... why? Every where they come as an authority in sport the make a mess... some examples... 1- above film 2- tour de france 3- FIFA 4- Dakar rally

  • @yordostube And now, look at WRC....

  • @AlejjSi yep... even the only pure motorsport they managed to destroy

  • look at the face of eddie jordan. he was like " 'the fuck am i doing here ?"

  • @JOHNCONNELLPEDOGROUP bit harsh

  • @thehitchrules harsh but true I guess... :D

  • Ever had that situation where you feel that something is really wrong at work, but your incompetent "superiors" won't see it and you're left tearing your hair out in frustration? Ayrton Senna probably felt that every time he talked to Balestre.

  • Mika is his usual inscrutable self, lol.

  • Id Love too see this these days..

  • Balestre just looks like a fucking french asswipe who favored his compatriot Prost.

  • This arguement was in the SENNA Film :)

  • Balestre was a politic not a racing fan, and much like Ecclestone a money interested vandal.

  • @Guireles2007 A rich former F1 driver... like Prost or Shumy (when he retires...) should take the job, if they have the time or patience.

  • balestre stupid motherfuck.....balestre speo che tu stia bruciando all'inferno brutto figlio di troia

  • AHAAHhahahahah@ Eddie jordan in the backround...was paying attention to what senna was talking about then BAMM i see eddie jordan looking like a molested fish...ahahahah made ma night..eddie jordan only 1 eddie jordan

  • As harsh as it sounds, when JMB died I didn't feel the least bit sorry for him. Prost fanboy fascist dictator that he was!

  • @Bennyboy1985 HIGH FIVE!!!!!! (borat voice)

  • John Balestre looks like a freakin Mob boss.

  • Lol Hakkinen seems bored. He doesn't understand a thing what all this guys are talking about.

  • where's the democarcy?? Good 4 u Senna!

  • Think that's a young Eddie Jordan on his far side too

  • is that a young Mika Hakkinen sitting next to Ayrton?

  • @djbadlt Yeah, it is.

  • 1:14 let i finish lol senna the best

  • LOL at 4:28 :)

  • so ignorant, my desicion is the best decision

  • Politics prevented Ayrton from winning at least 2 WC

  • @carmensofia889091

    pffhaha what about 1989? x)

  • @carmensofia889091 He should of been disqualified from 2 as well!

  • @carmensofia889091

Politics GIFTED Schumacher at least 2 WC.

  • @AlexDeLarge90 I guess!But no politics gave any of Senna's titles!Only is genius!

  • Oh, it lacks the "Best decision is my decision" part...

  • @arrielfim despite the fact that balestre's decision is a drivers-only vote on the matter.

  • Remember that Senna's 42 wins since the Japanese GP in 89 is the account of Balestre and Prost!

  • Lembrando que são 42 vitórias de Senna já que o Gp do Japão de 89 fica na conta do Balestre e do Prost!

  • balestre was an asshole pushing politics and favoritism... what am i saying? ALL politicians are such assholes... let em' ALL burn in HELL!!!

  • I find it so amazing to be able to see such footage from those magnificent f1 years ! Despite the fights, they seem like a family, it make me feel just like the pre-race briefings we have at the national club races meeting at home...

  • almost prophetic

  • lol check those very young Hakkinen and Eddie Jordan XD

  • LOL at E.J

  • Balestre makes cops look like angels.. he is the biggest, greediest PIG i know

  • this part is included in movie of 'Senna'

  • The Whole Drivers briefing is beautiful back then....you see senna and ballestre having some heated discussions and then at the end every one laughing over a joke. It would be great to see today's briefing and see what the current drivers are like.

  • sorry... Ayrton without "e"

  • lol Mika, Ayreton and Eddie^^

  • balestre must b watching and disliking this video!

  • @jvjh666 hes dead and boy does he deserve it

  • @jvjh666 i would say it was rather Roland B.... i dont know how his damn name spells,Balestre is dead for some time now...

  • This isn't the full video, watch the Senna movie for the real heated bits.

  • je suis francais et fiere, et je comprend pas ceux qui critique les francais, ses gens la doivent etre raciste, jaloux et ecervelé

comparer balestre a tous les francais est completement idiot,

  • @romain8050 FUCK france you fucking egotistical pieces of shit. jean balestre is a personification of the shitty country of france cheating corrupt fucks

  • @RooR2027 so you're basing your entire perspective of french people from one man? I have to disagree with you sir. pick out a 'cheating corrupt fuck' from congress and say every american is the same just because he happens to be born in the country. it's ludicrous. you've probably never even been to France. The only thing I agree with from your comment is that Jean Balestre was an idiot. but that does not mean the whole country of France is as well.

  • what tha fuck he said about Mexico? I can't hear enough well .

  • @myautomobilefunk He said thats what happened to me in Mexico...referring to a practice or qualifying crash when he hit the tires, and the car flipped and landed upside down.

  • @motoracinerd the peraltada was very dangerous, just for masters, but he won here in mexico too .

  • @myautomobilefunk He was talking about this: /watch?v=7ixxWrSmoa4

  • @ccanaves oh okay, i got it, but he won here in Mexico, the "peraltada" was a dangerous curve but Mansell made an amazing overtake overthere in 1990 .

  • @ccanaves kool, now i know exactly what he was talking about... thnx for the link

  • Ballestre is in hell

    Senna in heaven

  • BEST DECISION IS MY DECISION

  • This video has been edited, Cutting Balestre saying 'My decision, is the best decision'

Is public domain that he never like Senna at all, maybe because he is not french, whats what Ali G says!

  • How different do Hakkinen and Eddie Jordan look

  • What a fucking prick, bastard and ignorante Balestre was.

  • It's hockenheim 1991 for sure- Eddie Jordan & Trevor Foster are next to Senna

  • That's Mika Hakkinen next to Ayrton so it's either 91' or 92'

  • senna was no idiot he knew about safety and i think on of the reasons why F1 is mre safer because of him

  • it looks like Hockenheim 91, Senna talks about an accident by Erik Comas in the 3rd chicane. and a third chicane we have only in Hockenheim and Monza, but in Monza Moreno was not anymore driving for Benetton (in the front row you can see the two Benetton drivers in yellow Piquet and Moreno. at a certain point Senna calls Balestre "Jean Marie"...never heard it before...you must know they weren in good relationship, nevertheless Senna gave him an original helmet in a more quiet moment.

  • @sargatanas88 nope he talks About the squalify of Suzuka 1989 when Prost make he crash, and after Senna go through Chicane, and for Balestre was a cutting, Then he asked the reason of Squalify! "Anyway i didn't get more fast!" And in next Grand Prix when Senna hits the Tires Barries Piquet said "Its Dangerous, A Driver can hurt head and stay blocked in sand like Senna" And All Agree. Then Senna said "Then, All are ok and why when Prost crashed me and i go through the Chichane we had a long discu

  • @RedhotIta1 it can't be the 89 season considering the fact Eddie Jordan is sat watching Senna talk and Jordan didn't debut until 91.

  • Jean Marie Balestre =PEACE OF SHIT

  • 1 man is alain prost fan :-)

  • @katanad1984 Senna was a Prost fan

  • is that Hakkinen next to him?

  • @vinceforobama yeh and it looks a bit like eddie jordan on his other side.

  • @kearnm yeh seems like EJ

  • Thank´s God that prick is DEAD... f*ckin nazi.

I hope you burn in hell stupid balestre, for all eternity!

  • @profrank I hope that Senna in the other life put a big tree in the ass of Jean Marie Balestre,Now i will say it in italian language;Vai a fa' in culo pezzo di merda te e Prost, che tu possa bruciare in eterno=2 Bastardi,,,......................................Senna always in my heart, you were the N°1,you are the Champion for ever for me

  • What was the end result of the vote, looked hard to see if it was passed or not, but there were cones for the race, ironically helping Alain Prost, had he not stalled it...

Also why did Senna then storm out?

  • @pretsas Balestre calls everybody to vote... All supports the propose of Senna, and they change the pile of tyres with cones... The video is cut, but the part which follow is really funny, all the drivers says "buuu" and whistled to Balestre

  • @pretsas The driver meeting where Senna got upset and left was in Japan in 1990. This is Germany in 1991. The end result of this video is cut out for some reason but all the drivers put up their hands and Balestre says to the official to replace the tires with cones.

  • What was the end result of the vote, looked hard to see if it was passed or not, but there were cones for the race, ironically helping Alain Prost, had he not stalled it...

  • Germany for sure, Senna is referring to the nasty crash Erik Comas had this weekend.

  • @octaviocgsa Eric Comas crashed at the Belgian GP

  • @kouzouka It was 1992, when Senna rescued him. In Hockenheim 1991, the year of this video, Erik Comas had a bad crash in one of the chicanes, search for it and you will find.

  • @octaviocgsa Well Eric Comas crashed a few times but Senna saved his life at the Belgian GP in 1992. Comas never crashed at a Chicane, He crashed at Blanchimont corner at Spa

  • @kouzouka Man...he crashed in Hockenheim in 1991 too, in a chicane. /watch?v=8UwogqisJA0

  • @octaviocgsa Yes I know, I'm Just saying Spa 92 is where he saved his life

  • pause at 1 50 wat a great shot of senna and mika

  • lol......the guy who raises his hand

  • Balestre was a bad joke. He knew shit about leadership.

  • Screensport I miss you.

  • im guessing this was at the german GP in 1991

  • @flipsidedogchop either Germany or Britain, because of the lack of tabacco sponsorships, and the way they talk about the first chicane, i will agree with you. Definatly 91, Moreno in Benetton, and DeCeseris in Jordan

  • @flipsidedogchop correct

  • @flipsidedogchop It was.

  • vieux fils de pute

  • In THIS case, Balestre behaved like a man! He let the drivers vote democratically! I wish he was like that in some OTHER cases...

  • Eddie Jordan's look is priceless... :-)))

  • Arton struggled a bit with his english but had enough passions to get through; then Nigel backed him up with a very simple, profound thought (and reality) of a fine to the damage, which got all of the drivers worked up! haha very funny. It's sad to see Arton begging for safety measures, given his even sadder fate.

  • Balestre is a prick, dumb Frenchie deserved to loose his job.

  • @TheCarlsonsRaiders no need to be racist, Prost was french too, and one of the most respectable driver ever

  • Was it in Hockenheim??

  • fack you balestre

  • Comment removed

  • ar look at eddie jordan next to senna, he looked like a loser at that time but now hes cool

  • Balestre reminds me alot of Max Mosley, who never listened to anyone except Bernie Ecclestone

  • Mika Hakkinen is beside Ayrton Senna, and quiet as always..:)

Anyway, Balestre didn't have the talent to listen to people, and therefore, he couldn't be in the position he was for such a long time.

  • I'd guess this is Hockenheim 1991.

  • Balestre, always doing dumb things and never listening to the pilots. Btw, which year was that?

  • 1991

  • @teslaa70 it´s 91

  • Someone can traduce me this video? i don't understand english sorry...XD

  • @romanoanto What lenguage do you speak?

  • @magknight i speak italian
