Saw them last night in Manchester (11/7/11) and they were INCREDIBLE. The Allman Brothers jamming with the Grateful Dead. One of the best gigs I've seen in 30+ years. Get to Shepherds Bush!!!!
Phenomenal band. Seen 'em live 3 times. Gonna pick up with 'em again... 13/7 (7/13) at Shepherd's Bush Empire... and scream the f@*$ing house down. :)
Berated because it was supposedly made under the influence, which it probably was but there are some HUGE songs on this album. Wiser Time, Ballad in Urgency, Conspiracy, Gone,.......I will just say the entire album.
Hold me baby Hold me girl And I will laugh with you If you want me to Roll me in your splendor I'll envy your surrender And show you victory I hate myself Doesn't everybody hate themselves I scare myself Then I tell myself it's all in my mind So I let the poison go 'Cause I always know It will be there for me [Chorus]
I lose myself I forget myself Sometimes I fault myself I might fight myself But then I make amends I freeze myself Rain on myself OK, so I stone myself And I might even find myself But then again what happens if I do So unzip my pride Open me up wide So I can show this to you [Chorus:] I want to shine for you I want to sparkle too Just like a diamond cursed Well you know it don't get worse You know that I'll save you time Your trouble now is mine Hold me baby Hold me [Chorus]
Croweology out on the 3rd Aug ladies and gents and then Heckle n Jeckle are taking a well earned siesta.Consistently the best rock n roll of my band my generation ive seen them every time since 90 and it looks like im going to have to hop over the pond as they dont seem to be doing anything in the UK .
@zandig7 Dude you have just made my year!!,i did go to the filly in SF and saw them on the Wednesday show, they were fundamentally brilliant and they really put a shift in.Always worth going to Amsterdam as well as they tend to smoke n chill a bit more(if thats possible!!) for the Dutch shows. Looks like id better book some time off work!!.Thanks for the nod, heard rumours but didnt see anything released.

Yeah agreed. These guys are 1 of the best bands you will see live. The 2 brothers " Brothers of a feather" live DVD is good also. Oh! And chris Robinson was banging Kate Hudson for years. Thats legendary status!!! Rob j
Amorica was one of those special albums, kinda like "Layla"- something sublime that came out of a time of chaos and turmoil- IMHO the best the Crowes did with the possible exception of "Southern Harmony & Musical Companion" This version is exceptional!
Wow... Amazing acoustic rendition, it really brings out the strength of Chris' voice. This is why I view him as one of the greatest rock singers of our time.
F'n Marc Ford FTW!!!!!!!

This comment has received too many negative votes show
The whining singer sounds like Michael Bolton. Guitar playing is mediocre. Do not compare with the Allmanns since this would be a real offence.

No two guitarists every played better together than Rich and Marc. Well, Dickie and Duane, but the Crowes would say that.

Chris' voice also reminds me a lot of Steve Marriott from Humble Pie. But as Jimmy Page said....Chris sounds like Chris.
