I think the best would be not an only simple shooter game again. They should make the normal process of Aliens with the solders, landing, finding Newt etc. they made it before to C64 and it was great....Imagine it with the new graphic....

If this is going to be in some way related to the second Aliens then sadly it may be more action oriented. AvP was good but far from great. They should focus on your ability to stay alive with little resources and make this somewhat of a survival horror. That's what Alien was about, not the action heavy sequels.

But, that doesn't mean they have to heavily inform the population of that, Aliens is better than Predator, whether me or you likes it or not, that is why there are several "Aliens" movies and only two "Predator" movies, which both kind of sucked.... Even though the character was cool, the story was pretty crappy.

@HMGen14 Actually, if I may intrude, there are as of relatively recently three Predator movies. In my personal opinion, only the second one sucked out of those. And the Aliens movies follow a similar trend, as per my own findings. They're great, but they have their weak links too.

That put aside, Predators have only as much business in this game as any other species that isn't human or xenomorph: none at all. So I have to agree with the point you're making, in the end.

Newsflash is that the games are based off of a movie written by James Cameron and a comic book line by Dark Horse Comics.

Balancing of a game would require moving away from source material. The Predator is like a Human, but bigger, faster, stronger and smarter. The Predator has technology thousands of years more advanced than Humans.

How should that be balanced?

@Kravockian Completely agree! The developers have said that this game is suppose to take place after Alien 3, and takes place at the Hadley's Hope colony! After just watching Aliens again to make sure I wasn't going mad, I'm pretty sure their is no more Hadley's Hope colony left! The atmospheric processor is maybe at most only a few miles away as seen in the movie. Their is no way in hell that colony would still be there given the size of the thermonuclear explosion shown at the end of Aliens.
