Both groups of mothers were breastfeeding. After one month, the babies of the heavily smoking mothers scored better on the developmental testing done.

All this evidence goes against the mainstream belief that marijuana is bad.

In the first trimester it's common for women to smoke or drink unknowing they are expecting. The fact that a person can't give up smoking the moment they find out shows how commited they are to their kid. Well, technically she is pregnant on the show. She got pregnant on the first date she went on with Fred which was 2 episodes prior to this, The Mommy's Curse. She doesn't know she is pregnant yet though. She announces her pregnancy in the next episode, Be My Baby.
