this album sounds so much different then theyre new stuff. i have two of theyre newer albums. spencers voice sounds much different. and the genres of metal have changed. but this sounds more gospel metal than alot of theyre newere stuff. they still and always be a christian band but the put the the lyrics in a different way. they even said the lyrics r more about life problems but put christian aspects in them. but they will always be an awesome band. i will always be a fan

This isnt trying to force religion down somebodys throat.BUT I still think its a stupid message in the intro.To ask someone to believe that Christ is the son of God isnt the same as asking a friend of yours to believe you to be 20 years of age.Its actually the same as believing in ghosts,and to alot of people thats completely natural,to others it isnt. @FOBIzAwesome I used to label myself Christian Agnostic .. I believed in God, but I wasn't 100% sure. Now I am just Agnostic for ALL religions. Like I said before, nobody knows for sure. Anyways, I've listened to Underoath since 2005.. and I've loved them ever since. Even if some of their lyrics are Christian related, I don't care that much. Their songs are still so meaningful and powerful to me.
Although I will never be 100% sure if there is a higher power(s), this song is just really emotional. Sometimes, religion itself just seems so brainwashing to me, and I feel like that none of it is true. Even back when the bible was made, a lot of people assumed stupid things like the earth was flat and stuff. I am not trying to start a debate on religion, I just want to say my opinion on it. No one knows for sure. Yes, I am Agnostic.
Wow that's so cool. I never actually heard this before even though I've heard every other track on the album many times. Old Underoath has so much more passion in it, Passion for God and for Life. Now there's no origional members and they're just mainstream. Talented musiscians sure, but not inspired artists like they were. Anyway, just hearing them give the gospel like that was awesome.

I am torn. I would like nothing more than to unquestioningly believe the way that other people do. Yeah, the concept of hell is scary, but most Christians are sure that they're going to heaven. Hell doesn't bother me all that much. The possibility of dying and just ceasing to exist scares me far more than hell ever could.
@tubetash Our truth is that the believers will go to Heaven, and non-believers will go to Hell. That being said, it doesn't mean we aren't scared of Hell. Sure, if we, in all honesty, believe the truth, we know we will go to Heaven, yet, we see that SO many others just won't make it there. And that is why we spread the gospel, just like in this song. With the hope that we can save at least another soul.

Christ turns away no one...he spoke the parable of the prodigal son for a good reason...people like you and I. we are saved because He is good and loving...not because we deserve it, we never will deserve it. Happiness is only found in him brother. Its not about perfection or performance....he accepts u because of Christs work alone...u have nothing to offer, nor do I. @gracelovescody ye, nobody is perfect. but what they wrote down in the bible is all good. find one chapter or verse where it doesnt show love or it tells us to live our lives wrong? whether you believe it or not the meanings and messages are true. i'm a christian and i've always thought whether there is a God or not what the church teaches is good principles and they all come from the bible. the people were influenced by God when they wrote the bible. lets all respect eachothers views :)

this album sounds so much different then theyre new stuff. i have two of theyre newer albums. spencers voice sounds much different. and the genres of metal have changed. but this sounds more gospel metal than alot of theyre newere stuff. they still and always be a christian band but the put the the lyrics in a different way. they even said the lyrics r more about life problems but put christian aspects in them. but they will always be an awesome band. i will always be a fan

This isnt trying to force religion down somebodys throat.BUT I still think its a stupid message in the intro.To ask someone to believe that Christ is the son of God isnt the same as asking a friend of yours to believe you to be 20 years of age.Its actually the same as believing in ghosts,and to alot of people thats completely natural,to others it isnt. Therefore,asking someone to throw away their sense is very easy for someone who is naturally religious.

@FOBIzAwesome I used to label myself Christian Agnostic .. I believed in God, but I wasn't 100% sure. Now I am just Agnostic for ALL religions. Like I said before, nobody knows for sure. Anyways, I've listened to Underoath since 2005.. and I've loved them ever since. Even if some of their lyrics are Christian related, I don't care that much. Their songs are still so meaningful and powerful to me.

Although I will never be 100% sure if there is a higher power(s), this song is just really emotional. Sometimes, religion itself just seems so brainwashing to me, and I feel like that none of it is true. Even back when the bible was made, a lot of people assumed stupid things like the earth was flat and stuff. I am not trying to start a debate on religion, I just want to say my opinion on it. No one knows for sure. Yes, I am Agnostic.

Wow that's so cool. I never actually heard this before even though I've heard every other track on the album many times. Old Underoath has so much more passion in it, Passion for God and for Life. Now there's no origional members and they're just mainstream. Talented musiscians sure, but not inspired artists like they were. Anyway, just hearing them give the gospel like that was awesome.

great song. God's used this band to speak through since day one of their existence. even though they're entirely different from what they were on this album they're still amazing.
and btw, it's possible it's cory steger speaking at the beginning, though now that i listen to it, it sounds like dallas speaking. im pretty sure cory is singing though.

I am torn. I would like nothing more than to unquestioningly believe the way that other people do. Yeah, the concept of hell is scary, but most Christians are sure that they're going to heaven. Hell doesn't bother me all that much. The possibility of dying and just ceasing to exist scares me far more than hell ever could.

@tubetash Our truth is that the believers will go to Heaven, and non-believers will go to Hell. That being said, it doesn't mean we aren't scared of Hell. Sure, if we, in all honesty, believe the truth, we know we will go to Heaven, yet, we see that SO many others just won't make it there. And that is why we spread the gospel, just like in this song. With the hope that we can save at least another soul.

@singlexfilexisxlove If non-believers are punished, then did all the Native Americans, Maori, Aborigines etc. who couldn't possibly have known about Jesus go to hell just because Jesus was born a long way away from them? Do people who do a great deal of good but don't believe in Jesus because he was born 2000 years ago (Gandhi, for example) go to Hell, even though they do more good than most Christians? If so, that's evil, and any god who has that policy is a devil, not a god.

@tomwantshelp People who lived before Christ, were to just belive and to have faith in God. REAL faith. And it's still that way, just now, we need to look on Christ, to accept that he took away our sins and without him we have nothing. People like Gandhi did great works yea, but even in the Bible it talks about how, good works are NOTHING. It's belief and faith in the one true savior of the world. And no matter how "Good" of a person he was, he still had sin. And was guilty of it.

I don't necessarily believe in god and jesus as physical beings, but I do believe in what they symbolize, and i think that they symbolize hope, love and forgiveness, i really respect Underoath as a band, and think that their music is fantastic, and to repeat what Corey said, that hope is out there, and if you believe in yourself and if you believe in love and hope, you can get through the toughest of times, i know from personal experience. thanks for posting this! =)<3

i felt gods presence while listening to this... a lot of ppl say there forcing there religion on ppl. but there not. there telling u there story to happiness and how they achieve it and if u want it then u can try this. i love the fact that there metal bcause it shows a huge banner that christanity isnt just for ppl that listen to gospel or for a certain race, or for a certain group of ppl that dress a certain way. its for any one and everyone.
