He really voiced the aspirations of khmer youth in those days. he owes it to the khmer nation to present his views, regardless of what detractors, critics or sundry ignorami may say.

Bong Polin has written a couple more books, some in french, since he left Cambodia in that frantic escape in 1974. You are right, bro. , about growing up in the 60's and being influenced by Kamach and Sereyvuth, a.k.a. Nop Neang. Kamach was camarade de classe of my big brother, Soth Polin, and Sereyvuth was buddy to my other big brother, Pola Soth. Kamach is still in touch with my other brother, Pola Soth.

He ought to write a memoir and share what he knows about Khmer Republic regime. Please give your bro' my fondest regards.
I believe it was taped from the original vinyl because of that distinctive scratches which make it even more classic. I'm not sure either but I believe the original black and white cover featured Bong Kamach in turtleneck sweater. I'm very grateful for these songs that I had not listened to for over thirty eight years. The other night I spent the whole night switching between my two favorite... Sak Neang Anlay and Phleang Euy Phleang Chreang Tgo... You really made my night.

@palinesoth - also, i'm really appalled that most khmer listeners today do not know Mol Kamach. Kamach stands with Sereyvudh as two of our most creative artists of the 60's.
@molkagnol - can you tell me who wrote the melody, and the lyrics.. so i can correctly give credits to the authors.. when/where was it written? was it about some specific event? it's so cool i still can't believe i'm talking to khmer legendary artists!!
@molkagnol - it's unusual to have khmer parents so understanding and encouraging when it comes to music. once i asked my mum to let me learn Tro khmer she asked back if i wanted to be a beggar! by the way, do you know of someone at Fac Commerce by the surname Phlong?
