Need this information also. I'll be driving from Ontario, Canada to Southern Florida and back in a few weeks. I don't want to worry about memory issues or battery/intervalometer problems.

I plan on using a Microsoft Lifecam Cinema (720p) (webcam) and a Laptop with capture software (active webcam).... 1fps or around there.

anyone else have a better idea?

I'm not saying it isn't a beautiful country with amazing landscapes, but the US covers so much more in terms of area that it is more diverse. China is up there as well. The US has one of the wettest spots on Earth, the snowiest spot on Earth, one of the windiest spots on Earth, one the hottest spots on Earth, and the largest non polar ice field in the world (along with Canada).

Great job!!!!! I have been doing time lapse stuff for sometime not but not to this extent. After seeing this I regret not setting my gear up on a recent road trip from Michigan to Albuquerque, NM for the balloon fiesta. I did make one while at the fiesta that was over 17,000 images. Plan on making the trip again this year and will definitely be shooting time lapse. Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing what you come up with next!!!!!

Awesome video! Looked like quite an amazing trip. My buddy and I took almost the same exact route. Starting October 1, 2011 we were on the road for 54 days and traveled approx 14,000 miles.
