MegaMan NT Warrior is alright for the Alternate Universe MegaMan series but it would be awesome to see something from MMClassic and the X/Zero series.

@JboyLTD21 I think Wily wanted Zero to destroy X because he knew that he had been built by Dr. Light, NOT because he was the original. Remember that Wily's rivalry was with Light, not Megaman. You make it seem as if Light was afraid that his upgrades would turn Megaman into a bloodthirsty killer, when he had already proven reliable in regards to humans; in X1 he sealed X away because he knew he wouldn't live long enough to test his new creation, but why fear him being evil if he is the original?
@Koridar Actually Light did fear that X would turn into a blood thirsty killer due to the AI Reploid program, enabling X to be a free thinker like humans. I think Light put the upgrades around the world as a "test" for X, to see if he was becoming the reploid Light wanted him to be, probably somehow knowing of the events that would unfold.

Here is a quote I found from the wikia: "Keiji Inafune has dispelled the rumors that Rock and X are the same entity. According to the timeline, X was built in 2016, a year before Mega Man 9. This means that Rock was still alive when X was built."

It seems to me that it is quite feasible that he built X while the original was still alive, but sealed him away because he knew he wouldn't live for the 30 years it would take to test his systems; since X was a new design, by the time the 30 years was up, it would appear that the original died by unknown means.
@MasterStacona Its generally considered that the X's in the year represent the Roman numeral 10 considering in MM2 it states in 200X and in the latest MM games it states 20XX would mean from 2010 to 2020 which would fit the order of MM games nicely including fitting Inafune's quote. MMX is widely known for being 100 years later so 21XX actually fits the general timeline.

If you review parts of Super Adventure Rockman, Willy & Light used to be best friends, kindda like science partners. Mega Man (rock) and Mega Man X are to different robots. X was originally meant to have Zero's design; that means that X was meant to be a different robot from the original Rock. What is truly unknown is if X was meant to be an upgrade to Rock, or a whole new robot (does the programing from Rock get put into X?). The thing about Rock accomplishing everlasting peace (nerd, I know) could be plausible but is also unknown. Zero also has speculations. I think that the unknowns make the games good :)

After a while, there seemed to be peace on the earth, so Megaman went to some sort of sleep. They don't say anything about what happened to Rush or Roll. X was not based off Megaman. Although similar in character design, if you looked at their internal robotic structures they would be different.
X is a completely original design.

He is the first of a new generation of robots...the first that can think for themselves, feel emotions, and make their own decisions.
Dr. Light created the suffering circuit, so X can think deep, without worry of malfunction or going Maverick.
He's a essentially a pacifist. Although he may be pacifist, and hates fighting, he has unlimited fighting potential.
Ultimately, to protect the world from the threat of the Dark Elf, he sacrificed his own body to seal it away.

I think if you played the X series its implied that Zero Went Berzerk and killed Wiley and went on a rampage and started the Maverick/Reploid War.....
Dr Light than rebuilt Mega Man (X) and stored him becasue the world was to afraid of a Berserk Reploid going off again....Of course its still debating wheather X and Orignal MM are the same or if Zero Destroyed the Original and Dr Light rebuilt him.......

@JboyLTD21 They never said he was an old model; Vile said he was a useless piece of scrap metal because at the time X was weaker than him, so he was viewed as an 'antique'. Also, if X and the original the same, then why did Dr Light seal him away in a capsule for 30 years for reliability tests?

@JboyLTD21 I think Wily wanted Zero to destroy X because he knew that he had been built by Dr. Light, NOT because he was the original. Remember that Wily's rivalry was with Light, not Megaman. You make it seem as if Light was afraid that his upgrades would turn Megaman into a bloodthirsty killer, when he had already proven reliable in regards to humans; in X1 he sealed X away because he knew he wouldn't live long enough to test his new creation, but why fear him being evil if he is the original?

@Koridar Actually Light did fear that X would turn into a blood thirsty killer due to the AI Reploid program, enabling X to be a free thinker like humans. I think Light put the upgrades around the world as a "test" for X, to see if he was becoming the reploid Light wanted him to be, probably somehow knowing of the events that would unfold.

@MasterStacona I am afraid you are incorrect. X is not an upgraded version of the original megaman; the creator of the series states that X was constructed a year before the events of Mega Man 9, which would mean that the original was still alive.
Here is a quote I found from the wikia: "Keiji Inafune has dispelled the rumors that Rock and X are the same entity. According to the timeline, X was built in 2016, a year before Mega Man 9. This means that Rock was still alive when X was built."

@Koridar Nintendo never gave a specific timeline... MegaMan X1 starts way after Megaman 9... the whole megaman timeline was 20XX and megaman x timeline is 21XX as in the 'x' is an unknown number so the latest date Megaman 9 can be in is 2069 and the earliest for megaman x is 2100

@MasterStacona This is true; however the above quote was supposedly when Dr. Light started building X or had already completed him, NOT a reference to when the X series actually began. It seems to me that it is quite feasible that he built X while the original was still alive, but sealed him away because he knew he wouldn't live for the 30 years it would take to test his systems; since X was a new design, by the time the 30 years was up, it would appear that the original died by unknown means.

@MasterStacona Its generally considered that the X's in the year represent the Roman numeral 10 considering in MM2 it states in 200X and in the latest MM games it states 20XX would mean from 2010 to 2020 which would fit the order of MM games nicely including fitting Inafune's quote. MMX is widely known for being 100 years later so 21XX actually fits the general timeline.

If you review parts of Super Adventure Rockman, Willy & Light used to be best friends, kindda like science partners. Willy was posessed by a dark aura while searching for an artifact in some ancient temple.(Probably Juno's) Willy is actually a good guy, Megaman is his and Light's ultimate project. This "Alien Dark Energy" is called the Zero Virus. Dr. Wily used a different method of creating Zero. He gave him a free will, similar to X, but he implemented a virus that did nothing but make him kill. Zero isn't necessarily made similar to X, but it is revealed that Zero has something to do with Bass' programming that made him such an evil.

Then later Wiley told Bass that he learned from his accident and made an even more powerful robot than mega, proto, or bass who is zero. I guess that is what Zero has to do with Bass

Protoman and Megaman were both worked on by light and willy (i think). Protoman went with willy (but later came back/became a loner) and Zero was based off of protoman (made by willy).

No, protoman was a proto-type of megaman, (Hence the name PROTO-man).Bass was based off of megaman. And Zero was based off of X; Just with a dark energy. X was created by Dr. light. And yes protoman was made by Dr. light.

Megaman went normally, he doesnt really play that much of a part.
X was a separate project (Theres a quote saying this), however Light wasnt sure about giving him free will, so he put him in stasis for 30 years to check the integrity of his systems. He died before then, and X got stuck in stasis for 100 years. Cain got him out and made the reploids based on X. Reploid=Replica of X. Neither X or Zero are reploids, since they were made BEFORE reploids.

Light created Protoman. Wily stole and reprogrammed/modified Protoman.
Light created MegaMan.
Towards the end of his life, Light created MegaMan X and sealed him away.
Zero was the last of Wily's personal creations.

Mega Man eventually defeated Dr.Willy and all of them lived the rest of their robot lives in peace.Mega was deactivated and enclosed in a capsule and at some some point in distant future he was reactivated that's the story that's even implied in the cartoon series.But you are right I was reading and aparently they changed it for Megaman X vg series.But that only makes more questions than in the 1st place.WHAT ON EARTH HAPPENED?

Mega Man (rock) and Mega Man X are to different robots. X was originally meant to have Zero's design; that means that X was meant to be a different robot from the original Rock. What is truly unknown is if X was meant to be an upgrade to Rock, or a whole new robot (does the programing from Rock get put into X?). The thing about Rock accomplishing everlasting peace (nerd, I know) could be plausible but is also unknown. Zero also has speculations. I think that the unknowns make the games good :)

I have the collection, which tells the story line. Megaman was invented by Dr. Light.
After a while, there seemed to be peace on the earth, so Megaman went to some sort of sleep. They don't say anything about what happened to Rush or Roll. Anyways, many years later, chaos started again, but Dr. Light no longer had physical properties, so he couldn't wake Megaman, who was left hidden. Later on, the original body of Megaman was found by Dr. Cain, who upgraded him to Megaman X FTW!!

The physical properties factor theory from Zabaloono was what I was lacking,now it all makes sense,Mega and X are two diferent robots since the improvment thing was only added for the series prob to avoid spoilers. Whatever it was there are 2 diferent and versions of what happened,I'm happy that my dear old friend Mega is still out there resting after acomplishing such a goal in the 1st,but I feel sad that he was obliterated to a ziggyzillion of pieces by Zero in 2nd wich was choosed by Capcom.

Protoman was created by Dr. Light (or in colaberation with Dr. Wily depending which source you get it from) as the first Robot of its kind. But its power source was corrupted and he mysteriously dissapeared. Dr. Light then created Rock, Roll, and the original 6 Robot Masters (retconned later to 8). Bass was created by Dr. Wily by accident utilizing Megamans schematics. Zero was created by Dr. Wily to house his Virus, utilizing improved schematics of Bass.

No one really knows WHAT happened to Rock. But X was created late in Dr. Lights life as the first of its kind. The Virus within Zero merged with Sigmas programming. Evolving Sigma into a Virus himself. The zero and Sigma Virus are two seperate Virus's. ZX and ZX Advent takes place after Zero but BEFORE the Legend series. Youll see lots of connections between the Zero series and the Legend series with ZX if you know where to look. Zero, X, and his generls were all destroyed during Ragnorock(cont)

to be fair, Zero was eons more advanced than Rock (Megaman). I mean this is the Zero that has defeated Vile, Sigma, The Colonal, Omega, The Dark Elf, Copy X, X's Generals, Elpizo, Dr. Weil, Ragnorok, and, as a Biometal, stood against ALL Megamen alone.
