  • You have five cars, sir. It just doesn't feel right to me spending money on something like that while there are people who desperetely need it, plus four of them are always standing in the garage doing nothing. It's a waste of resources in a world which runs out of them.

  • The THINGS that matter most in life, aren't THINGS. When you remove things from your life you realise happiness comes from within you. Enjoy your prosperity as I will mine. But let it be known, if you loose your $, you'll no longer have the things that make you happy. If I loose all my money life will be just as interesting. (Sorry if I come off as a troll. It makes me sad to see luxury put on a pedestal)

  • Money is a tool. It doesn't "make" you happy, sad, nice, mean, spiritual, or evil. It's a TOOL. It's something you can trade for food, shelter, healthcare, security, etc. Like a hammer, you can build someone a home or crack them over the head with. It can help you bring wonderful experiences for yourself or others. It can help bring misery. It is only a tool. It is YOU, yes YOU that personify it. The more tools you have, the more you can help yourself as well as others. Money is neutral.

  • money cool ass hell what do you tell a guy whos the only pakistani kid in a redneck town of 7 thousand people no job no school for hours away how do i become successful

  • @remtheoneilo Don't let their limiting beliefs become yours! You and only you are in charge of your prosperity. -RG

  • As a very wealth person myself, who can buy whatever he wants, I just have to say *GAG*

What an awful personality. Can you say desperate?

  • @BlongBlarble We are most definitely living in a psychologically destructive environment. That's why personal responsibility and taking charge of your own programming is so vital. Please don't buy into that mind virus that people aren't capable of living a prosperous lifestyle. They are, I am an example, and that's why I do the work I do. -RG

  • why do you want those things? marketing tells you to want them to feel good about yourself. you admit the cars are your only sense of pride in your life.

  • @365to173repubsPWNED They enhance my life and bring me joy. I don;t have them to feel good about myself. I feel good about myself already. I am not proud of my cars, I enjoy them. I am proud of my family, my softball team winning the world series, and the charitable work I do. -RG

  • disgusting

  • Now we all know where you live. I'm gonna come break into your house and steal all your expensive materialist shit.

  • @tehatemachine I believe the meaning of 'Materialist' is someone who has great interest in possessing things and believes that nothings exist but physical matter... ??

  • Loved your saying, "It's about what brings joy to your life."

Cars, houses, and an extravagant lifestyle don't do much for me, but if they make your life more enjoyable, great! The things I take issue with are rich people who ridicule or ostracize poorer people and poor people who see all affluent people as shallow and ostentatious. Enjoy life and let others enjoy theirs!

  • Great video thanks! I liked your line "...poverty does not buy happiness". I too have been on both sides, and I am certain that being rich is better than being poor. This was motivating. thx.

  • lol couldnt stop laughing

  • I grew up in a family full of materialists and most of these people were miserable, not to mention treated people who didn't have money like shit. Everyone wealthy person I have ever come in contact with was an asshole.

  • @xxdiogenescynicxx I hope you'll re-think that. Really EVERY wealthy person you ever met was an asshole?

    -RG

  • @randygage Honestly yes, when I left my wealthy family when I was young I found decent people among the middle class and the poor. I wish it weren't that way but most people who are only out for material gain seem to be lacking in their social and spiritual well being.

  • @xxdiogenescynicxx You must have found the wrong crowd, because I certainly don't see that.

    -RG

  • desire is the root of all suffering. If someone desires something and they seek it out and achieve it, there is only a temporary state of "ahh, I got what I want!" and then we move on to the next thing. When we sit and we look at what we have, and realize that not even that is necessary, that all we need is to be content. To be able to sit INSIDE every moment, and enjoy that very moment we then need no material things besides a roof, food, and medicine. happiness isn't in a never ending chain

  • @xxdiogenescynicxx maybe you're referring to the enron, goldman sachs, etc. guys. lol. most rich people are actually nice. don't judge the rest of them just by the actions of the few.

  • Loved the view from your bedroom and that yacht. The video tour of the private suite on the airline was cool as was the tour of the airport terminal. Thanks for sharing the experience.

  • @autismfamily Yeah those planes are so cool.

    -RG

  • Joy isn't so important as experience intersting things and events.

  • actually from the looks of your bedroom you seem somewhat of a minimalist. I think over the definition of a minimalist is to only have what you need and use your money for what you really want. Yes you have 5 cars and yes you get to sit in a suite on a plane but i mean come on it's a 13 hour flight. It would be excessive if it was 1 hour flight of something. Materialism on an extreme would be a hoarder or a collector. People should stop buying random crap and spend money on experiences...

  • @1ThingHappened Yes I think it's about what brings joy to your life. -RG

  • sports cars the pride of your life?, my kids are the pride of mine, get some perspective.

  • Randy, well - that was a good (airplane) view inside of current world "production" which keeps many people busy working on creating and producing also exclusive products, e.g. installed in 1st class airplanes which folks from the regular basis never get to see. Thanks for that! To me, it would have been the tip of the top of minimalism - to point out how many jobs would go down if we all minimalize our needs and fun and joy in life!! We would all live in caves again, well - except me.

  • I get your perspective, but minimalism doesn't have to be extreme as living out a backpack, but it's being conscious of what you're doing and what you're buying and materialism has a huge and devastating impact on our environment if it is excessive. It's thinking about more then just our joys, but the joys for others and the world we live in.

  • @tobeedetermined Yes true. -RG

  • Hi Randy,

I like your videos, but I'm confused.

I was reading in BRW magazine that Gina Rinehart (Australia's richest person) allegedly takes economy (cattle) class.

I've read that Ingvar Kamprad (Ikea's founder) takes Economy class as well.

I'm confused because why are these super wealthy people taking economy class?

Additionally, I find that on economy class, I can't get any work done because I'm packed like a sardine so how do they manage to get any work done whilst traveling economy?

  • @MagnusMalmer Hey, everyone makes their own choices. Prosperity is about what brings joy to your life. For me, I'm tall and travel all the time, so being productive and rested is important. -RG

  • @randygage Thank you for clarifying it. It makes sense now. Much appreciated. Please keep on posting videos. I like watching them.

  • Great videos Randy. You help people dream again and show us there is nothing wrong with living our dream life and going out to make it happen.

  • Randy! I respect you! Thank you!!!

  • I'm a minimalist myself but my take on it is shuffling resources around to suit any needs and situations that might arise during life. I mean for example if I need to blend into different types of groups as in rich or poor I shuffle money or gain materials to meet the situation but always keeping true to who I am. So in living as a first class citizen or peasant,it's all the same and it should be for everyone too.

  • Different strokes for different folks. I find myself much happier in a stress free environment, where I can relax and enjoy the small things in life. In order to accommodate the materialistic lifestyle I would have to push myself into a stressful job to maintain such a lifestyle. A lot of what attracts a minimalist lifestyle is not having to maintain the expense of a materialistic one. I would be just as happy on a 30' sailboat as that guy was on his huge yacht.

  • @jathgnos (cont)

With that said, I do not want to make it seem as though the materialist lifestyle is some cardinal sin. For some people, chasing after material possessions is in itself a worthwhile pursuit. For them, a minimalist lifestyle would probably be hell. If anything, I am glad we have such people in society because their consumerism is what brings innovation to our society. Thanks consumers of America, you make living a minimalist lifestyle a lot easier ;)

  • @jathgnos Maintaining your own 30' yacht by yourself can be more stressful than having a crew maintain your yacht.

  • I wonder if that stuff is all rented like a rap video in order to sell image so a philosophy can be sold through videos and books. I know a guy who has nothing but always drive a series 7 and wears very expensive clothing. When rich people see this and he approaches them for investment money in whatever he's selling. He usually leaves them holding the bag and saying I didn't twist your arm when the plan blows up. I expect he'll end up in a shallow grave someday.

  • @secretbubba3 LOL, my work is transparent and I've been around for a long time.

  • your stress comes from worrying about not losing all of your things and i bet you if they dissapeared while you were sleeping you would experience a great deal of stress. if you cannot life without all of your material things then that in itself is a stressor

  • @BeingNobody1956 You may think that, and I'm sure a lot of people do. But with prosperity consciousness you don't worry about losing things, because prosperity is infinite. You release things along the way and they are replaced with others more in alignment with where you are then.

    -RG

  • That yacht in the opening scene is great inspiration for the handful of millionaires that actually make it. But the rest of us 6 billion people who dont, its just inspiration to continue running on the hamster wheal. Yes being rich may not be stressful but trying to get rich definitely is. Its really a preference thing. If you need possessions to be happy than start running, if you dont, then enjoy what you have already.

  • @maksymp4 I would suggest you check out my blog at my regular site and see the post about "The Value of Discontent." -RG

  • I was googling up for the TERM " True Prosperity" when I came across your videos I watched a few of them and your teachings ,so to call , sounded fairly sensible and logic to me, and I really got impressed with the Tithing, giving and Charities part .

This would be perfect though, if you'd referred more to the Creator of the Universe , the maker of the source of true prosperity , and how to Combat EGO and selfishness when you're filthy rich , and how to live in light consciousness.

  • Thanks @houndy10 I do reference the creator often. I'm writing a new book now and one of the things I'm exploring is the good role the ego can play. I think it gets a bad rap, because it can run a muck. But study Hill, Carnegie, Firestone, Ford, Edison, etc., and you see the ego was important to their success. -RG

  • Your a rich guy. Congratulations! I am also very wealthy, but you wouldn't know it from reality! ;o)

  • @LBMcBride Don't worry. There's a big difference between fact and Truth!

  • Thank you, I'm so inspired

  • Are you some kind of selfhelp scammer?

The "first class" was very impressive though: you got a can of Coke and some candy bars there, dude! Talk about being rich! Rock on!

And keep on trying to make a few dollars by scamming people! You are definitely not a clown!

    LOL

  • @PUASummit

well you get scammed by your politicians and what do they do> yet they have six figure salaries, solid pension plans and stable health insurance while some people in their district have nothing. Also people are quick to attack randy but don't have a problem with spending money on superbowl tickets making athletes rich and richer. just saying.

  • Unfortunately when you sleep in your bedroom you can't enjoy the view... And you don't even have a balcony... I would look for another apartment if you want to impress people... And what is this lesson all about about btw? Is this a lesson, I don't get it , is the sarcasm and laughing at that guy that chose to live only with t-shirts and blue jeans the wise part?

  • Not everyone can be rich Rand Gage If everyone had a million dollars than a bag of chips might just cost 75k. The more money we make the more inflation it creates. If living in luxury makes you happy go for it. But you need people who dont have as much money as you it gives you something to measure yourself by. All these things you say you want all I hear from you is want want want your greedy. The lord is my shepard i shall not want.

  • @JustThatInteresting

my friend jesus wasn't poor so if he wasn't and half of these prosperity preachers aren't then why should average people be. God also want you not to be a slave to the lender and that is spoken in the bible.

  • By reading some comments its plain to see that some just do not get Randy's message and some are living the message. Let's put it on an elementary level, those that have more CAN GIVE MORE, MORE TIME - MORE MONEY- MORE RESOURCES. Those that have not more can only give time, which is great but they must live the poor life with the poor and thats not much when the poor persons child has no food or medical care and all you can give them is comfort. I thank God for the Rich People like Randy Gage!

  • @FREEDOMFROMHOMESHOW Yes that is where they are at right now. hopefully at some point their window of the world will get bigger for them.

    -RG

  • one thing i like bout ur video is, I get to see the place u travel and the nice things u like etc. Been a subscriber of ur newsletters for decades now and it's only now that i get to see what you're talking about. Luv ur cars, the views and ur talks. Keep on rockin man ..

  • This is true from one point of view.

Another point of view is - all humans have the Ego that has never enough... We want to be more successful than others, we want to live in a house, then a bigger one, then in one that's next to the beach, when we get our first car, we enjoy it, but after a moment we want a newer model etc. It's madness.

We must understand and experience what is behind this Ego. Only then we can become free and can enjoy real happiness. :)

    May you all be happy!

  • @aivuks You bring up a good issue here. Actually I am writing a new book on prosperity right now and doing a chapter on the ego. I don't think it is as bad as many motivational speakers would lead everyone to believe. Ford, Carnegie, Hill, Edison and other very prosperous people all had a strong ego. But we must use our ego to serve us, not let it control us.

    -RG

  • @randygage Randy how do you think - the " ego" that had mentioned here bellow is result of victim consciousness, becouse when the victim gets a power he becomes a maniac ?

solution of this problem is removing of victim from a subconsciousness ?

  • I'm so glad that I don't need "stuff", "prosperity" or a "5 billion dollar terminal" to be happy with life.

FYI: If you've ever visited a poor country (like the many in South America), you'll quickly realize that the people living in "poverty" are much happier than we are. In fact, with the little they have, they still try to give things away if it makes someone else happy! That's true wealth.

  • @InvisiMan2006 Actually I visit poor countries all the time. (And was in Mexico last weekend.) I would suggest you may want to question the belief that people living in poverty are happier.

    -RG

  • @randygage Let's put it this way: Compared to "us" people with cars, easy access to fresh food, large homes, access to healthcare, etc., they are far happier. Most people living in America and Europe are miserable and they "have it all" compared to the people in Peru, Columbia, India and so on.

I don't know if you visited the shanty towns on your trip to Mexico, but if you were to volunteer to help the poor in these countries you'll see more smiles compared to walking the streets of New York.

  • @InvisiMan2006 Richest man in the world is from Mexico. I read a statistic that 30% of Scandinavians have a net worth in the negative (due to debt). That means their net worth is less than many people in Peru, Columbia, India and so on. In Europe, many live pay check to pay check.School does not teach us to be rich. They teach us to study hard, get a job so we can pay high taxes. And in Europe, men get conscripted. That's why most Europeans are not happy and many are not rich.

  • Minimalism - it's so stressful living in luxury let's give it all away."what" lol sorry that's not for me.Money brought me loads of happiness, really money can buy happiness or the things that make you happy. At least for me it can anyways great video.

  • @LUXURYCIGAR I agree with you. I like luxury and sports cars and Swiss watches. They are built well and last a long time. With cars, the broke mobiles seem to break.I drive a lot and sitting in my Mercedes and Volvo feels great, compared to other cars I've been in like Nissan, Holden and Toyota where I get nausea after 30 minutes.

  • Thank you Randy for sharing. These are the kind of video's that really make me feel inspired to be more successful in life!

  • Love it! You make me laugh, Randy!!! This was a great video. I'm going to travel Randy Gage style!!!

  • Considering the fact that 40% of world's richest people in Forbes list are not happy, $ & material things don't always bring prosperity. It really depends on your personality and circumstances. To some of us, owning nice cars & million$mansions are the prosperity while some of us believe that it is unnecessary to own things in order to feel true happiness, and some just have no clue what makes them happy. Happiness is not only in one shape, and it is important for us to find our own prosperity.

  • @SLGCW Everything around you is based on materials. Everyone is a materialist. Unless you enjoy looking at dark matter.

  • That cabin was coool so was the view from the bedroom who wants to be live like a popper whn we can live life king size... i will work towards achieving these ,,,,

  • I love you, thank you :)

  • Love the video blogs Randy, but the background music is too loud...takes away from your talk...

    Keep em comming...

  • Hi Randy,

Awesome imagery here.....definitely formed more than a few ideas in my mind. Thanks :)

Money is good. It's freedom in green pants which allows you to have more, do more and be more.

If you are happy with being a minimalist than more power to you. I prefer to acquire wealth while doing what I love. To each their own.

    Ryan Biddulph

  • Randy, great video. I agree that the push toward minimalism as a way to achieve happiness and prosperity isn't the only way, and that being able to enjoy things in your life is just fine and a noble goal if it gets you the TRUE prosperity you want - like you show us.

For some people, though, who are trying to gain happiness too hard via things instead of their the way they live life, going through a minimalist phase might be a great way to learn what really does make them happy.

  • I just got off my First Class flight on Lufthansa. I thought it was awesome... until I watched your video. Thanks a lot for bursting my bubble, Gage!

    Bahhahaha!

Love you and happy you're having SO much fun in life!

    LISA

  • Hello Randy!

Thanks for this video, know i know what does a first class cabin looks like!

this kind of things makes me realize all the wonderful things life has to offer, big or small, mininalist or materialist, and i am completely agree with you, prosperity might mean one thing for somebody, and it could mean something completely different for somebody else

thank you for this great lesson! greetings from mexico

  • Hey Randy I love you man, I used to think it was humble to be broke lol, but I found out it is worse to be broke. You cant help anyone, you cant bless anyone, you cant buy a person a shopping cart full of groceries, or help others.

Randy I was WRONG, I WAS STUPID, NOW I AM WORKING TOWARDS WEALTH.

Stuart Brandt The bike engine guy.

    Hi Lornette.

  • I must admit that I have yet to experience the life I want to live. Like other people, it is the "religion" one abides by: either one lives in the beauty of one's dreams, or become trapped in the nightmares of other people's opinions and views.

    Thank you for the video!

  • @mrsixty5

You can experience the life you want Mrsixy5. Just make sure your pursuing the right things. Life isn't about things, but living the life that you dream of living. We can't get caught up in things but we can build our lives around our dreams and work hard to get there.

  • @me9606 Thanks for the comment!
