She is absolutely lovely and a great singing voice. I'm a big fan of Kerry Ellis and I think Alexia is a great follow on from her! Shoot me but I think they're both an improvement on Idina Menzel (always a bit screetchy on the top register - original or not!)

In fact the only one who stayed around at Chess was Idina who made sure every single fan had their signature and accepted all presents and had her moment with everyone.

I disagree actually. When you enter this business you enter that lifestyle, and it does become your obligation to fans, because - unlike pretty much any other business - you literally owe your job to them. If nobody went to see her or her shows, she would have no career...
But whatever, she's just kinda infaous for being not as nice...but meh, if she was nice to some people then good for them!!! :-D
In my opinion Kerry's an amazing singer and a mediocre actress (compared to others in the Westend.) Alexia's a really good singer and and a really good actress, she has the best Elphaba interpretation I've seen.
However I disagree with you on the last point. Kerry doesn't just give songs a "quick gloss of emotion so she can quickly get to the next song." Infact I think she's one of the best performers in that respect... I wonder if you've been to one of her concerts?

West End Live was a great event for getting a taste for shows like Wicked, and then if you like what you hear you can always go and see the whole of Wicked at Victoria. So it's sensible to put one of the main stars on at West End Live with one of the best songs from Wicked. Not all show did this.

It must be hard being compared with Kerry. I thought she chose the right song. Maybe she looked nervous because she found it strange singing it out of costume and context. She did a great job didn't she once she got into it? I'm glad she didn't do Defying Gravity though (my favourite Kerry song).

@ellz1020 Wicked is not set in Kansas it's set in oz ,so all the charessctes have natrall accents. Only the wizard has a Amarican accent
