It's quite meaningful that international media like CNN was greatly interested by this crash wich had only 9 casualties. The Air France crash (from Sao Paulo to PAris) which had more then 200 dead was not broadcasted by most of the French and international media. Even the result of the report about the Turkish Airlines crash in Amsterdam which found the Boeing firm faulty was not broadcasted by the international media. This is a weird situation.
En nu zegt Pieter van Vollenhoven dat er cruciale fouten zijn gemaakt met de dienstverlening en dat het een dramatisch is verlopen. Ten tweede die domme hollandse vluchtleiders hebben ook dikke fouten gemaakt. Ten derde heeft de piloot de vliegtuig zo zacht mogelijk laten landen. Nu over de hollanders. De ergste vliegramp aller tijden is dankzij een kaaskop, in Tenerife. Hij had een vliegtuig zonder problemen en met goeie vluchtleiders. BLUNDER van de eeuw!!!! dus mond dicht

Natuurlijk heeft de defecte RA de eerste aanzet gegeven tot dit ongeluk maar de vliegers hebben ernstige fouten gemaakt. Hadden ze adequaat gehandeld dan was dit ongeluk nooit gebeurd.

Well, you are creativily landed and all the passengers except the pilots were alive. So that's teh Turkish way of putting the plane on teh ground. But it costs a hell lot of money.

de piloot had over de 2000 vluchten gedaan met boeiing, is ervaren en professioneel. Het onderhoud gebeurd zoals bij alle maatschappijen die lid zijn van Star Alliance, 's werelds 25 beste maatschappijen. Turkish Airlines is ook lid van. De crash is te wijten aan een defecte altimeter, dit is een fout van Boeiing.
@gelsenkirchin nee, de defecte radio hoogtemeter heeft slechts een kleine rol gespeeld. Een veel grotere rol ligt bij de piloten die nalatig waren in de procedure's en niet hebben opgelet tijdens de daling. Het defect van de radio hoogtemeter werd zelfs genoemd tijdens de daling. Er zijn heel veel fouten gemaakt door de piloten, maar door de character limiet ben ik niet in staat het in een bericht uit te leggen.

Een defecte altimeter, dat 1 klein metertje een hele crash kan veroorzaken. natuurlijk begrijp ik wel hoe belangerijk een altimeter is, maar het blijft ongeloofbaar als 1 defecte meter een heel vliegtuig laat crashen en (bijna altijd) veel mensen worden vermoord door de impact in dit geval.

hehe, turkish pilots are funny and they suck, I saw a program yesterday and it was canadians who learned turks how to become a pilot and after many times flying the canadians said let them try to land this time for them self whit out help, now the funny part comes, they forgot the landing gear. hahaha So funny, they landen whit out using the landing gears,hahaha. It's quite meaningful that international media like CNN was greatly interested by this crash wich had only 9 casualties. The Air France crash (from Sao Paulo to PAris) which had more then 200 dead was not broadcasted by most of the French and international media. Even the result of the report about the Turkish Airlines crash in Amsterdam which found the Boeing firm faulty was not broadcasted by the international media. This is a weird situation.

Kaaskoppen lullen hier van ach het lag aan de piloten het is hun fout bla bla bla. OK nu komt het kaaskoppen: Ten eerste was er een defecte hoogtemeter. Ten tweede die domme hollandse vluchtleiders hebben ook dikke fouten gemaakt. Ten derde heeft de piloot de vliegtuig zo zacht mogelijk laten landen. Nu over de hollanders. De ergste vliegramp aller tijden is dankzij een kaaskop, in Tenerife. Hij had een vliegtuig zonder problemen en met goeie vluchtleiders. BLUNDER van de eeuw!!!! dus mond dicht

Dit vliegtuig is gestalled, dat is niet bepaald een zachte landing en al helemaal niet gecontroleerd.
Natuurlijk heeft de defecte RA de eerste aanzet gegeven tot dit ongeluk maar de vliegers hebben ernstige fouten gemaakt. Hadden ze adequaat gehandeld dan was dit ongeluk nooit gebeurd.

Pilots are humans and make mistakes.
This was clearly a mechanical failure and pilots had little time to react, in an unfavourable situation with nearly any visability.
The pilots died, trying to do the best they could, this was a crash that could have been much much worse than came to be.

@mjcuracao There was no fog and no mechanical failure, only one of two radio altimeters was inoperative. The pilots weren't paying attention to what the auto throttle and autopilot were doing. It's total pilot error.

Mechenical failure in low altitude and low speed gives you less than a second reaction time.
There is to much weight to push it foreward.
Heavy fog unabled the pilots for a visual approach, so they had to rely on instruments.
The instruments failed to give the correct altitude for pilots.
The only fault they made is to rely on instruments, witch failed.
If they knew the altimeter was incorrect, they would have

Maar ook bij andere maatschappijen gebeurt het. Maar dan gaat het primair om hte vliegtuig zelf airbus of boeing dus het is logisch als problemen zijn met de bouw van het vliegtuig dan het ook bij andere maatschappijen voorkomt.

de piloot had over de 2000 vluchten gedaan met boeiing, is ervaren en professioneel. Het onderhoud gebeurd zoals bij alle maatschappijen die lid zijn van Star Alliance, 's werelds 25 beste maatschappijen. Turkish Airlines is ook lid van. De crash is te wijten aan een defecte altimeter, dit is een fout van Boeiing.

De defecte RA is de eerste aanzet in dit ongeluk, maar zeker niet de enige oorzaak. De vliegers hebben namelijk ernstige fouten gemaakt.
1) Ze hebben het falen van de RA niet opgemerkt en de juiste actie ondernomen.
2) Ze hebben niet op hun snelheid gelet.
3) Ze hebben de AT niet disengaged tijdens de go around.
Als de vliegers actie hadden ondernomen waarvoor ze zijn opgeleid was dit ongeluk niet gebeurd.

@gelsenkirchin nee, de defecte radio hoogtemeter heeft slechts een kleine rol gespeeld. Een veel grotere rol ligt bij de piloten die nalatig waren in de procedure's en niet hebben opgelet tijdens de daling. Het defect van de radio hoogtemeter werd zelfs genoemd tijdens de daling. Er zijn heel veel fouten gemaakt door de piloten, maar door de character limiet ben ik niet in staat het in een bericht uit te leggen.

Een defecte altimeter, dat 1 klein metertje een hele crash kan veroorzaken. natuurlijk begrijp ik wel hoe belangerijk een altimeter is, maar het blijft ongeloofbaar als 1 defecte meter een heel vliegtuig laat crashen en (bijna altijd) veel mensen worden vermoord door de impact in dit geval.

Ja klopt, ze komen met een niet overtuigende verklaring dat de hoogtemetet kapot was en dat de piloten daarop niet alert hebben gereageerd?? Een normale onderzoek duurt normaal gesproken maanden, maar omdat ze hier de schuld zowiezo bij THY wil leggen komen ze met een wel heel goedkope verklaring!! Wij Turken zijn en zullen altijd trots blijven op de piloten!! Fuck Nederland Fuck Nederlanders die niets gunnen klaar!

dat mensen dom lullen over Turken is ook dom. het zijn ook maar mensen en mensen maken fouten. door te laat reageren op de hoogtemeter zijn ze gecrashed, ja en? fouten zijn menselijk..ik bedoel..hebben turkse piloten speciale karchten ofzo? natuurlijk, het hadden net zo goed nederlandse piloten kunnen overkomen. alleen beetje genant dat Turkije ze eerst binnen heeft gehaald als ''helden'', ja dan is de waarheid pijnlijk snap ik maar nogmaals : mensen maken fouten en dat zijn het: mensen''.

Ze worden alleen als helden gezien omdat zij toch meer dan 90% van de passagier hebben gered.. Ze hebben hun fouten betaald met hun eigen leven, maar hebben wel vele andere passagiers gered..
