Really liked this a lot. Interesting mix of RC and models and the soundtrack. Pretty much have never seen anything like it. Great piloting also. I'd never risk an RC with crazy stunts like that.
Great video man!Evern though it's just a bunh of toys,it really looks good!By the way,the US eally did all that stuff and had so many caualties for 1 pilot?
i,m british don,t think all are veiws are the same as alphacen 1 great vid must of took a long time be great if you could do one of the apatche in iraq again thumbs up great great vid
Great job on this vid. Thanks for the dedication at the end. I know I owe a lot to the brave men who fought in wars to defend this country. Nam was a war we had won. to bad our government didn't have the guts to hag in there just a little longer. Let it be known that our guys didn't give their lives in vain. I will never forget what they did for me and owe my life to them.
Video is EPIC! I love it! How someone could actually criticize it is beyond me. If you dont got nothing good to say, dont say anything at all alphacen1, especially about a toy helicopter reenacting Heroic events! Get a life you tree hugging wanker. And to dancindestroyer, keep the good vids coming!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Actually Im British. Im afraid I cannot stand the adoration of the military that your country (and mine) indulge in. Regarding toy soldiers falling over - if thats all it is, then fine - why dont you make a video of american helicopters getting shot out of the sky by Vietnamese anit-aircraft fire, all to the sound of a cool beat?
@alphacen1 - This video is supposed to be a fun, historical reenactment of an actual mission, and to honor a very brave man who put his life on the line to save the life of a complete stranger. Its hard luck if you dont like the outcome, and im not going to make a video of your Vietcong friends skinning alive American helicopter pilots, just to please you! Im not the slightest bit interested in your anti military, tree hugging views, and your not hijacking my page for a politcal debate!
Alphacen1 STOP all the political bollocks and just enjoy the film, yeah? It was meant as a bit of fun, so keep your views on politics and Vietnam to yourself-no-one's interested.
And before you start having a go, i'm English and proud to be joining the Army very soon.
@alphacen1 Im sorry you dont have 'adoration' for a military thats there to serve for you. Your military branches fight all the conflicts that your (ours too) crooked politicians get them into. If you dont want to stand behind your military, perhaps you should stand infront of them?
@alphacen1 you sir are an asshole. if you were so peace loving, why would yo come on here LOOKING for an argument? All I have to say is god bless soldiers from ANY COUNTRY, all the brave men and women who fought in EVERY war.
@alphacen1 - Coming from a nation that tortured and murdered 6 million innocent Jews, you seem to be a bit touchy watching toy soldiers falling over!!! Something to be proud of.
just have a quick question about the Jolly Greens, those wouldn't happen to be the older verisons of the MH-53 Pave Low would they? Or do you mean a squadron rather than a specific helo.
@nekonaru16 - Yes , you are right- the Pave low is a direct decendent of the older generation HH-3 Jolly green giant and HH-53 Super jolly green giant helicopters. These helicopters are ideal for the combat search and rescue role due to their long range abilty. Thanks for watching
HAHHAHcmon wtf is that ,its just a toy..a toy flying through tha Woods catchin some cola tins haahah.. real funny, i could use that heli to fly my hamster from a to b ahahah
that is awesome, im going to try and make a video like this with my skylift, could you tell me what shell you used for the helicopter as it has a ramp on the back?
@SOVIETICHRIS - Thanks! This is the Twister Skylift shell. I just made a back ramp, cut out the door gunner positions, put a belly cover on the underside and painted it in Air Cav colours. Look forward to your video.
Outstanding dancindestoyer! Simply outstanding job! Your videos have come a long way! Your earlier Parkzone warbird videos were good too. Added this one to my favorites
@JaleelJohanson62 -Thanks for your support! I have some other videos in the making, but havnt had time to put them together yet. Watch this space. Thanks again!
Ha Ha that was entertaining although the guy on the winch looked about 10 feet tall and the enemy looked more chinese than vietnamese. I remember the " got him right in the back with a rocket" audio from some old film I saw on tv once. liked the little details like the door gunners and guy on rear hatch Go Air Cavalry!
I was a DUSTOFF pilot in the Army for many years. I'm a geezer now. I have to say that I was really entertained by this video. You did a really nice job of flying, filming and editing this short clip.
That was really really really well made and it was just about as realistic as you can get with rc. And that is really sayin something this was a truly great video.
Such a terrific video. Was this simulated with the Twister Skylift Chinook? What paint did you use to modify the heli? Again nice video! Keep em comin!
Thanks mate! Yeah this is the Twister Skylift. Its not really that good of a heli but okay for beginners. I will make another video of it soon as i have lots of spare video footage. I painted it with Tamiya Acrylic Olive Drab paint. And stuck some Air Cav badges on. Cheers!
Thanks so much for this video. It is so well put together I thought the entire thing was fantastic.
I have to say, I am a little bias, my Dad is Jolly 09 and I know this story very well. By the way, he has two short videos shot during rescues. One was of one of the earlier pickups during Streetcar 304 rescue. The other was of an earlier rescue. Both are silent, but I have always hoped he will narrate an audio track and post it here for others to watch.

This just goes to show that without PJ's....Who would answer the Armed Forces 911 calls?
And also "That Others May Live" is a AF Pararescue motto. Awesome video though. I wanna get me one of those RC Chinooks as well.
