THere's a couple of things that pc is better at. Great gamings! you can't play call of duty onyour Mac so it sucks and PC is cheaper and i mean, $1000 bucks to buy a MAC Laptop? Also, PC has xbox 360. One of the best gaming system. and some people found virus on their mac laptop. and apple's iphone for At&t has some problems. I like MAC and PC but I have a windows 7 laptop and i love it

@ozzyfreak1001 on a mac it is just a matter of pushing *option u" to make ¨ ü... etc.

on pc you must do something like ALT 0123 and deal w/ all those html or whatevs nuumber codes. Mac is better. Pc is inferior

@topitmunkeydog The reason why there are no viruses for Macs is because Mac users are 1% of the market share. No hacker is going to waste time creating a viruses that doesn't even spread. That aside I like both Mac and PC. They both have good points and bad points. For instance Mac is insanely expensive!

I was trained on Premiere and Final Cut and I hate them both. I like Sony Vegas. I mean it doesn't have those awful canned text effects that you have with Live Type but then again most serious animators and filmmakers create that content outside of their editing software. As a student you can buy Vegas at Academic Superstore for $299.95. (which is half the amount of Final Cut.)

First off, as I've said before in the comments, this is not a Mac vs. PC forum, this is a video. Even so, I'd like to note...

I create my content in iStopmotion, Motion, LiveType, Compressor, DVD Studio Pro, Soundtrack Pro, and Crunch. Exlcuding Crunch and iStop, This software all comes with Final Cut Studio, a package of software. Integration of audio and video... I can't quite tell what you mean by that. There is a timeline for audio, and one for video. Please elaborate.

Nice little discussion.

Final Cut Studio includes several different programs, just as Adobe suite does. Final cut for editing, motion and livetype for titles, etc... It's more than just an editing program. For $600 for students, Final Cut is by far the cheapest professional editing suite. I don't think that if something is more expensive, it's automatically better, which seems to be what you are saying. Also, note that Adobe Creative Suite can run on a mac. :)

the reason i prefer pc is because my mate got me a copy of the adobe professional suite for free, the pc version. its a huge package so i wouldn't look any further cos it has way more features than the final cut suite

im at the leading film univetsity in england and we either edit on a steinbeck or use final cut pro. or even telecine then ou final cut.

I don't see how adobe can do it better, and i've worked with 5 or 6 different suits.

I think its just a matter of opinion. final cut has great qualities, i mean films such as the corpse bride, cold mountain and no country for old men were all editied using it.

I don't think it's really a matter of cost to films that are workign on a major budget.

As for a steinbeck, it's an old editing machine used for film. The literal cut and paste job. Brilliant ^.^

In the end it's down to the editor who uses it, not neccesarily what they use =]

You've got a good eye for detail there! Stuff like raising PC's head there to express a feeling at 0:18 is something not many would've thought of. I don't know much about lego stop motion, but I can imagine the most challenging about it is to make the characters look like they're alive, rather than just use stills.
