@ronin6401 He still only showed up a couple times, though, and was only mentioned in one or two of the other episodes. Bandora was still the direct threat. Also, Cyclopsis is Dora TALOS. Dora Antaeus is the Hatchasaurus.
The son was going to be in MMPR too, but the series got renewed at the last minute and since he was basically only there to remove the witch's powers so she could be locked up again he had to be edited out.
I love this fight. The action is awesome enough alone, but the audio really makes it. The music, and the absolutely perfect timing of said music to work with the visuals. Beautiful.

@gundamWWW Lokar only gets destroyed in the original Zyuranger series. Otherwise, they would have kept the footage of Dai Satan's face twitching and then violently exploding in the sky. But yes, Lokar should have been destroyed in this battle.
That footage was cut for a number of reasons. One was potential squick another was the fact that it makes the average Newgrounds video look good by comparison. A possible reason beyond that is that supposedly Lokar is in the raw cut of the Bloom of Doom Zord Fight.
However, since Lokar never shows up again after this, it's reasonable to assume that shot of him taking damage was him being struck a death blow.
@ZeldaTheSwordsman I'm not sure how looking good by comparison is good excuse, but I did hear of the rumored De-Bloom fight, in which Lokar is rumored to make it happen. The Power Rangers Wiki still says that Lokar "survived" the events of "Doomsday", but either way, as far as Power Rangers goes, at least Lokar should still be considered destroyed after the Z-Wave from "Countdown to Destruction", as it as good as wiped out all of the original villains.
MAZZ0Murder - not really if u think bout it I feel Cyclopsis is alot like Doomsday from Superman. Both adjust to the fight. Besides the rangers till now hadnt met something that adapted to the different zord modes so it was a decent change of villians
Zaketo-Rite called forth the green candle during a Rita-Dimension battle with Goldar Tommy accidentally touched the green candle thus it started to drain him of his powers
@ColonelFleet thats one of the many ranger mysteries. Some suspect the green coin was connected to dragonzord cause Zordon said the dragonzord must conserve whatever power it has left in an ep. even though we suspect the coin/zord were connected it wasnt proven. After return of the green ranger the dragonzord wasnt seen again...sadly. Id love to see the current season bring it back for just one episode.
Just an FYI: The reason we don't see Lokar blow up like his Sentai counterpart is because the effect was badly done and ruins the awesomeness of the scene.

The effect used for Lokar's/Dai Satan blowing up is lame by home video standards, let alone TV. The only problem with little kids seeing somebody's head go boom is they wouldn't shut up about it. And they show lots of other monsters explode.
I hated how once you finally collected all of the zords they changed the show's theme and you had to start all over again. And those toys were really expensive! Especially for an eight-year old

@thunderbolts2007 No, because 2:48 the system starts overloading. It couldn't keep track of the zords changes. Thats why Jason started with the T-Rex zords, the megazord, then dragonzords, dragon zord battle mode, then megadragon into ultrazord.

Actually it was to weaken Cyclopsis because Cyclopsis can match the Rangers' Megazord Formations the longer the rangers stay in said formations. By constantly changing them up, Cyclopsis wouldn't be able to keep up, causing it to overload enough for the rangers to Ultrazord Blast it.
problem with this explanation is titanus himself. during the first fight, goldar was 3 hairs away from destroying them when titanus comes out of nowhere, ultrazord forms, and cyclopsis is destroyed.
now everyone knows about the escalation rule, but that doesn't really apply, because they understand that at this point, it is necessary to escalate. the only way this would make sense is if we were to assume that pr villains are smart enough to go "maybe if i hit them mid-formation, i can win"
I like the over the top explosion when the ultrazord is created, it looked like an atom bomb went off. By the way, if nothing beat the ultrazord, why not summon it in the first place? They would have won a lot sooner, and all those people in that building at 2:12 wouldn't have died.
He got his powers back before Zedd showed up - while this battle was adapted from the last Zyuranger episode, there was 30 more episodes made just for PR (known as Zyu2, and never used in Sentai), 20 of these were used before Zedd showed up, the Thunderzords were spliced into the remainder. Goldar blackmailed the rangers - your parents for your power coins - then double crossed them. Tommy was sent to get them back, and the energy shield guarding them recharged the green power coin.

@dragonstormx i get why they did it from a writer's standpoint, but tactically it was a retarded move to not fire at your archenemy's main base, killing them and saving earth for the forseeable future

Actually it was to weaken Cyclopsis because Cyclopsis can match the Rangers' Megazord Formations the longer the rangers stay in said formations. By constantly changing them up, Cyclopsis wouldn't be able to keep up, causing it to overload enough for the rangers to Ultrazord Blast it.

problem with this explanation is titanus himself. during the first fight, goldar was 3 hairs away from destroying them when titanus comes out of nowhere, ultrazord forms, and cyclopsis is destroyed.
now everyone knows about the escalation rule, but that doesn't really apply, because they understand that at this point, it is necessary to escalate. the only way this would make sense is if we were to assume that pr villains are smart enough to go "maybe if i hit them mid-formation, i can win"

I like the over the top explosion when the ultrazord is created, it looked like an atom bomb went off. By the way, if nothing beat the ultrazord, why not summon it in the first place? They would have won a lot sooner, and all those people in that building at 2:12 wouldn't have died.

Tommy had lost his powers when the Green Candle melted. He had to pass them on to Jason to prevent them from falling back into Rita's hands.

He got his powers back before Zedd showed up - while this battle was adapted from the last Zyuranger episode, there was 30 more episodes made just for PR (known as Zyu2, and never used in Sentai), 20 of these were used before Zedd showed up, the Thunderzords were spliced into the remainder. Goldar blackmailed the rangers - your parents for your power coins - then double crossed them. Tommy was sent to get them back, and the energy shield guarding them recharged the green power coin.
