The verse tab is wrong imo. He's only playing the top three strings, so from high E done it would be 7 9 9, then 7 10 9, then 10 10 9, 9 10 9.

Go to google and type in u2 backing w/vocals, and you'll be able to be the edge and have bono and the band be your band. Pretty cool BT's.

Rob, I like how you add in the tabs like that...very cool indeed. I've been playing it a bit myself lately (relearning after ZooTV style). The chord voicings in this song are definitely odd and tricky to work out... For the main riff, I think maybe Edge is playing 7th fret high E string, but not the D string 9th fret. (Referring to the first two chords in your tab at 0:36) Give it a try and see what you think.

The first chord is an E major so the voicing you suggest would be Ok and the second is an Asus I guess - if you check out some of the 360 tour youtube uploads its difficult to see if Edge is at the 9th or 7th fret

the intro is spot on, but the main riff is still played the same way it was on achtung baby, watch edge's hand placement of SNL two weeks ago, it's a fast strum of 14-13-12 to 14-14-12 to 14-14-15 on the D, G, B strings

Hi, not sure I agree with you - I used the video posted by kmcleod31721 from Atlanta. I don't think Edge has his left hand that high up the fret board ...... and even if he did my fingers don't fit there - ha !
