Thoughts on Customer Service and Human Interaction

I sometimes gut the same kind of lonely people in my cab... It's sad that they don't apparently have anywhere else to turn to.

That's a real sign of the times. People sitting alone in their homes totally isolated and lonely. How often do we not read stories in the newspapers about people being found dead in their homes after months and no one misses them. I wonder if the internet generation(s) will face the same situation when they're that age or if they seek more interaction online.

My wife used to work at a call center, I want to tell you everything in my life so you will understand me and what I am about and that one thing that makes you a real person. I like coming here and making you read this. LOL.

What sort of call centre do you work in? I work for one of the big banks doing first level i.t support fun fun fun, ( ... my handling time targets at 450 seconds I got stuck on a 40 min call once that fucked my statistics ugh I personally think targets and shit impact customer service dramatically especially in i,t when half of the other agents rush people off the phones or throw stuff off to second level support because they don't want to impact their stats.

Life is complex so that's why people throw all these rules at us. Business is never just business I don't care what people say lol. Anyhow it's cool that you stayed on with the lady.

Wow that's some really powerful stuff, RE. I'm glad the women got a chance to talk to you and not someone else. I always felt as though you had an empathic side that nurtures those kind of people.
