  • u should take it out of the sand/ even if it is good sand or people say its ok if the beardies eat it/ mine was in the good sand and it ended up dieing because of the sand in its system/ we tried everything to get it out of him but i didnt work

  • I have inherited a big aquarium and might take 2 large, tame, 10 year old beardies .How much will this stink up my bedroom? I've read so many horror stories is the smell really that bad?

  • they only smell if you don't maintain it. like leaving its shit to smell up the tank under the heat. Just clean the shit up straight away and you shouldn't have ANY problems with smell.

  • ya they dont smell of anything unless u leave the crap in there lol

  • I just got a beardie today! His name is rocko as well D: that's what it was when I got it!

  • try feeding it a mouse but make sure their in the cage caues it tends to get a littel bloody

  • Have done before, he seems to enjoy pinky's, but its not something i would want 2 give him too often!

  • Firstly, learn how to spell, secondly that was a locust he was eating, its in the title, and thirdly, why do i care about the size of your lizard?

  • lol you dont care about his lizards size roflmao

  • whare did u get that lousocst? and if you got it from out side ... thats not that good of an idea because you dont know what kind of bug posins the locoust has come in contact with..and if thats calci-sand DUMP IT! because the bag says that it can be digested but its a fine grain sand with calicum powder on it.and if thwy eat it they can get impaction...!...

  • Mate, i buy my livefood from a reptile outlet, if not gonna go trawling around on my hands and knees in my garden now am i? lol

Also, no its not calci sand although it is sand, and yes ive heard its bad for Beardies, but hey, my guy has had it since he was around a year old juve and hes getting on for 7 now and hes still living a happy and healthy life so i dont see the problem!!

  • my beardy is around 5 to 6 months old and its 13 1/2 inches long is this normole

  • Sounds fine to me!

  • can some one help mine throws up alot

  • Take him to a vet, he may have some kind of parasite problem. Always best to get a professionals opinion though. Hope he gets well soon! :)

  • that is HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That was ok It was like watching a bearded dragon eat a giant cricket.

  • is that a normal bearded dragon? or what kind is it?

  • chow time :) he well liked that didn't he.

  • you shoulda edited it to where it slowed down when he ate it and big red words popped up that said "OWNED" and have someone with a really deep voice say "ooowwnnneedddd"

That woulda been pretty funny =P

  • PWND!!!!!!!!!

  • crunch crunch crunch

  • how big do adults get

  • some reach 2 feet (24 inches)

  • yeah lol in holand we get them for like 6-8$

  • i also spend £20 a week on food and that for my beardies

  • my beardies weve £39.99 each over in kent

  • do males or females get bigger, plz reply!

  • same size. but if they do differ it so small it doesnt matter

  • can someone give me a list on how much a bearded dragon costs yearly with crickets and all and how much veggies i need per year with prices and good veggies that you use for your bearded dragon

  • You guys in the States are lucky, you have a lot of variety when it comes 2 lizards and snakes. Ove here in England, everything is really expensive and hard to come by. My friend bought an 18 month old Beardie and it cost him £150, which i think is about $300.

  • its more around $320, but thats a fortune

i live in england, essex to b precise and we got a gecko for £30, royal python about the same price and a tarantula for just £4.50

we also found beardies for around £50, or in one place on the a127 u buy a vivarium and starter kit and get a free dragon

mayb u just lookin in expensive stores, try home breeders

  • i got my beardie for £25

  • Wow we in holland can get them for 12 euro.

  • Fire flies are toxic to beardies. Perhaps that guy is just a douche trying to kill your dragon.

  • Beardies are simple to look after, mines 6 and ive never had any problem health wise or other!

As for fire flies, why would you bother?

  • 1 firefly can kill your beardie, it says that in The Bearded Dragon Manual I bought from a local pet store. sorry if this posted twice youtube hates me today

  • "It only takes one firefly to kill a dragon, and death occours very soon after swallowing the bug." Thats a direct quote from a bearded Dragon Manual I bought. I assume the chemicals that create the glow are what is bad for your beardie.

  • i like your dragon. i am wanting to get one, are they hard to take care of?

  • Im also waiting for one (:

In the beginning you need to spend some time on it, if you want it tame ofcourse.

But I dont think its too hard.

  • thats nastier than a mouse

  • Get in my belly!

  • I'm Bigger then you...... I'm Higher in the food chain......

  • haha

  • that was fast

  • lol

  • haha poor locust

  • its okay to feed it large prey every now and then just not as a staple food. that locust was fine for the dragon and like stuboy93 said it would eat it in the wild. people do get paranoid. they have no faith in the digestive system of their bearded dragons! i bet the dragon loves the variety of insects same as we love variety in our food. also, for peace of mind one can place the beardy under the heat lamp after heating to aid digestion. if no crap is taken for a couple of days, bath time!

  • owned!!!!! beardies rule

  • how much do these cost?

  • I bought mine at super petz for $100. He was a month-half old and 7 inches.

  • around 100$

  • lol

  • *crunch crunch crunch*

  • feet*

  • My beardie eats a day 4 locusts at that size.. and if my locusts are all eated, than I feat worms

  • I fed my bearded dragon the same sized locust ,but shes like twice as small as yours so it took her 10 min to eat the whole thing

  • that is bad!! you should never feed your beardie anything longer then the size of its head. If it is bigger than that you can do damage to your dragon that can result even in death!

  • well in the wild, jackass, bd's dont think 'oh thats longer than the size of my head, better not eat that'.They eat anything they think is suitable themselves. its only paranoid owners who worry too much bout that.

  • that BD didnt look to be in the wild to me JACKASS and beardies will eat about anything but if it is YOUR pet YOU have the responsibility to keep it safe and healthy! i know breeders who have watched a perfectly healthy beardies die because the feeder insects were too large, it is very common! usually it will be ok but you can go ahead and learn the hard way when your dragon goes into irreversible fatal paralysis.

  • ok uhhh u know that rule is most of the time used as an excuse for when the bearded dragon dies of a health related issue

  • rastafarian is right. feeding large prey can cause impaction and or death

  • owned

  • I agree uber pwnage

  • where do you ge the locust from
