  • I randomly got here and I must say I'm really dazzled! Even though I don't know much about rc, I find this both beautiful and realistic, and I must say, I admire your courage and patience for building (creating) this! Love the rail sound, damn it's so real!!! Lots 'o stars, keep it up. Best from Greece.

  • how is this rc ???

  • 8:42 ITS GODZILLA RUN!!!!!!

  • I was in a trance...perfect for train watching, big or small..a great video!

  • my friend in his garage has a set like this of models trains going every where around his garage hes in a club but idk which one but he would really like this

  • VERY NICE layout guys ! Thanks for the upload !

  • wow, that is huge!!!

  • In the Pilbara region of Western Australia, iron ore trains can be up to three miles long. The record attempt had a total of 5 locomotives; two up front, two in the middle, and two in the rear, linked by telemetry. The bankers are remote controlled; ore trains are assembled by these strange natural gas powered shunters, and pulled by huge Dash 9s

  • great work i like rc trains so much you guys r so great you r genious

  • WHO BUILD THIS? IS AMAZING!!

  • Very cool. Would love to come see it someday, and learn some tips/tricks. Im near Buffalo NY and we dont have a whole lot around here for HO trains.

  • What scale?

  • nightflyyer how do you make one of those banners??? above the description box.PLEASE REPLY!!!!!

  • i wish they made the japanese one that goes really fast with th special track for going real fast that would be awsome the best most fun train

  • ...........

  • the bullet train?..yeah..

  • wow terry, these are MODELS and NOT TOYS. some people LIKE this stuff. i am one of them, its not a waist of money.

it is what we enjoy. great video nightflyyer!

  • well said

  • thx

  • wow nice trains im verys impressed wow i wish i could join ur club

  • You guys did a good job so you guys built all of that from scratch. That's amazing I build model ships

  • Well,it will be interesting to see what kind of life you have at age 70! Shame on you.,

  • This clip was absolutely wonderful! Five stars and 15 minutes simply DO NOT do this clip any justice. If they're any plans for more clips, I would be MOST INTERESTED in seeing them. What's more, you've given me plenty of inspiration for my own model railroad project. For this, I humbly thank you. :)

  • Thanks very much for your comments. I really appreciate that. They are working up a skit for another video, so stay tuned.

  • @NightFlyyer Thanks for making this video, it's been a while since I watched it! My dad is so proud of that railroad, as he and his friends should be. He is one of the engineers (Ken) and he loves this video. He built some of the bridges on the layout and that is his passenger train running. They really enjoy running it and it works good with very few problems (no small feat considering it's size). He is also the "car and locomotive shop" for the club. It is truly impressive to see in person.

  • Some Modelers can take things to the extremes, weathering that some people do it outstanding.

You'll rarely come across a Model RRer tha isn't as nice as these guys,

    Why I love this hobby.

  • Thanks very kindly. I appreciate that.

  • well if your going to be ice to them, theres no reason they shouldnt be nice to you, i mean its common sense right? you dont see people hating Dave, its because he's really nice and helpfull in all his comments, no reson anyone should hate him right?

  • gosh at some points in the video, in the camera view it looked like it was a real setting.

  • Thanks very much. I appreciate your comments.

  • I love your videos, They're just great and the people in them are so kind, 5 stars

  • Thanks very kindly.

  • Awesome Job! Truly loved it :D

  • Thanks kindly.

  • Excellent model railway, thats a lot of work gone into that 5/5 stars chaps !!

  • Thanks very kindly.

  • Hey Shawn. Cool. Hope your Dad sees your comment.

  • wow that is one MAJOR setup there- talk about committing to a hobby..

Although, there aren't any tricks to learn- can't do an inverted piro funnel with a RC train...think I'll stick with helis and planes :D

  • LOL Thanks. Yep and they never have nervous breakdowns like we do when doing those 3d maneuvers either. LOL. Sometimes a walk in the park is nice too. Thanks for the comments and chuckle.

  • I live in CF, Iowa and LOVE trains, but im not in a club yet.

  • Hey guys come from all around. You might like to visit some Wed Night when they have their meetings and get the tour. Call em up and come on down.

  • i wonder if they can make them super fast o.O

  • Yes, but they will come off the tracks. Scale and scale speeds is what these guys love.

  • my club is the same way

Building is for free, as long as it is open to the public, certain days.

  • What club is that? Sounds good too.

  • there's just something so noble about h.o scale trains and settings

  • So true.;

  • Yes !, just a thought as they go But do you recon the reciprecating valve assembly on a UP 2-8-8-8-2 could alternate a thrusting drive assembly of opposing magnets or somthing alike ?.

    I like to think so (tee-hee !!)

  • Thats so incedental you'd come up with this vid', as I'd just had taken an excursion into this hobby for my Son and ordered a used vintage UP 2-6-6-2 from the US for over where I'm at in the U.K., It's to house my new Overunity pure only manetic most miniture motor perpetual machine run on 3mm sq' Neo magnets. The connection is of course the delightful con-rods slamming the magnets togeather.

    not

  • WOW, Coincidence for sure. Not sure Ive seen perpetual motion machines that worked yet. Wild thought.

  • very impressive layout the HO scale allows more detailing than the O scale

I prefer O scale because the trains are more realistic and they have real sound for each locomotive which is awesome.

go to my site you'll see my small layout

it's from MTH the best .

THX for sharing this wonderfull clip

    Ciao Jake

    LESNAKE001 (train layout MTH)

  • Thanks kindly.

  • I've always wondered why you hadn't done anything on trains yet, lol.

  • Wonder no more. LOL.

  • Amazing railroad!!Thanks for sharing!

  • Your welcome. Thanks for watching.

  • i like all of the rc things exsept gay things like boats

  • LOL.

  • i used to be very into trains but now cars/planes!lol 5/5

  • Thanks kindly.

  • those trains are extremely long

  • Hi Dave, I was one of the SparkPlugs on the credit board for the OVRR. thanks for putting our club on the map. Boy that guy in the yellow hat sure is old. take care yeah all. Larry

  • Haha. Thanks kindly. Hope you have some fun with this and continue to expand on this great hobby.

I promise to bring a bowl next time to Popcorn night. LOL BTW, what gauge are these trains? Some folks have asked.

  • model railroading is fun in some respects and rc planes/helis is a different fun

  • Very true, but all fun to those involved. We gotta have fun no matter what to stay young.

  • You know before i liked airplanes, i was a train fanatic! i would definitely join this club, the only problem is I am a good 1 to 2000 miles away... oh well. 5/5

  • They would probably make you a long distance member. LOL.

  • Dave,

Very cool. You're going to put Sibley on the map.... Dave Herbert for Mayor!

    Jeff

  • lol yea if he was mayor he would build many gyms xD and that would be so awesome lol

  • Hahaha. Now that is a good idea.

  • Hahaha. That's a good one. Dave Herbert for Mayor! The whole town would be up in the air. Pun very much intended. LOL

  • LOL Jeff. LOL. Id have em all flying....

  • The amount of detail is insane, you can work forever and ever and never run out of things to add and build

  • For sure. Those guys have lots of plans to add more realism too, so I admire them, as part of the fun is the planning on something like this. Thanks.

  • That's cool, thanks for sharing that with us!

  • Thank you, I appreciate that.

  • man i tried to look up sibley on google earth but its one of the blury towns.i was trying to find the place u fly

  • We are all blurry around here, so guess that is why.

    LOL.

  • My dad is a engineer for BNSF!

  • Far out. Have you seen my UP Steam train vids?

  • Cool,

My dad is an electrician at an oil company. all the real scale trains are rc. Its pretty cool.

  • Yes. Thanks kindly.

  • awsome video :) keep it up

  • Thanks kindly. Stay tuned.

  • Really cool. Those guys put a ton of work into all that. I've been to a couple of train displays around here and they are really something to see.

  • The detail work and realism is very neat, for sure. It is a pleasure to watch for me. Not so intense as flying you know. Sometimes a walk in the park is very relaxing to jumping on the Freeway all the time, Glad you liked it. Thanks.

  • Yep, much less intense. Easy to just kick back and watch or walk around and explore the detail.

  • Wow!! that was really amazing. Thanks for posting this video.

  • Thanks you. Your welcome.

  • Awesome vid Dave. I LOVE TRAINS:)

Hey, when is that Osceola fair running? I might take a run down to see that, not this summer but likely next. My cousin was there once for it and she said it was a really good time.

  • Not sure yet, July, I think. Come on down.

  • Its definitely on my list of things to do.

  • verry soothing and relaxing. thanks

  • Thanks kindly.

  • xuse my typo

  • that is cool, there is a great shot of the cam on the train. Teh way everything goes by looks realistic. I wonder how it would look if you shot that stufff in highspeed and then slowed it way down, I bet it would apsolutely realisting. Great stuff.

  • Haha. Thanks kindly.

  • Very cool, very cool. Great video! Congrats Denny and other 'otters' for such a cool setup. Color me impressed! 5*

    Jeff

  • Thanks Jeff. You have to go down now and see it live.

    Thanks again.

  • I enjoyed the video a lot, as always.

  • Thanks very much. I appreciate that.

  • amazing,i love trains,i have never lived more than a few hundred feet from the railroad tracks.

  • Thanks. Glad you liked it.

  • This is a very good video, I have always liked hornby train sets (This aint hornby), my neighbour is setting up his hornby set right now. sets but im too much into my R/C helicopters at the mo and train sets seem costly. Thanks dave (my honey bee cp2 1st flight coming soon to a youtube nere you)

  • Thanks very kindly. Ill ask them about the hornby too. I appreciate your comments and will look forward to your vid.

  • that is pretty neat.

love the end trailor (train cam)

  • Haha. Thanks kindly.

  • Nice one

DirteyApe well think he is answering question and reply at thanks not commenting himself

  • Thank you very much.

  • Their set up was pretty cool I must say.

  • Thanks much.

  • lool what the hell why are you commenting your self

  • Cause I made the video and they havent even seen it.

  • i admire these guys. all those detail small scale work mesmerize me. wanna put 10* but only have 5*.

  • Thanks very kindly.

  • thanks for the video i love rc trains

  • Thanks very much.

  • awsine video m8

  • Thank you much.

  • It would be a little lighter than a pic camera

  • The "inset" picture in the video shows a little of what I got with my "train Cam". The Bridges and trees really limit the size of the cam and My little Aiptek has a video screen, sound, and replaceable batteries for only $25. I use it a lot.

  • Nice vid Dave, thanks for sharing, amazing detail work from these guys, This would be a definte cool factor use of the FlyCamOne2 camera to have a 'passenger's' eye view :-)

  • Thanks kindly. The FlyCams are too big and have no sound, so I used my Pocketcam X in the flat car.

  • wow, looks like it took a long time to build!

  • They said years....

  • nice layout, im in the redlion train club, $20 a year, we have a nice size o gauge layout.

  • Thanks very kindly. That is not a bad dues price. O gauge. WOW.

  • I love the trains Great video Dave. What a great set up they have..

  • Thanks Greg. It is a nice one all right.

  • cool as it can be!!!!!

  • Thanks kindly.

  • cool

  • Thank you.
