@FoodOddities YES! We gave them to a family friend who gave us $20 (to be generous). I grew up with them. By the time we gave them away, they were incredibly old. :) Also, is head cheese similar to Terrine? When I was in France, I tried Terrine for the first time. It was described as a type of meat spread. Head cheese reminded me of it, but I'm sure they are slightly different.

when i eat it i dip it in some vinegar (careful! mix vinegar with wather first!)

My grandpa use to make "hog head cheese" (they called it) but anyway he use to make it all the time... two types even, spicy and non spicy... I've never tried it, I could never get over the texture, and the vivid images of seeing him prepare it lol

Here, we call it 'Potted Heid' (potted head) and I have never tasted it! I actually have only ever seen one shop sell it... Haggis is a similar idea with sheep's entrails stuffed into its own stomach. It tastes good though. :P

Canned haggis can be OK, but you haven't lived until you've had a proper haggis!! Its yummy. Traditionally eaten with turnips and potatoes. Or 'Haggis, neeps and tatties' as we say. ^^
