the first Tomahawk album is inferior to Mit Gas in every way. it's like a polished demo. great songs, but 'Mit Gas' is more advanced overall.

Oh, and for the record, i do not think everything Patton touches is gold. In fact, he is part of what annoys me about Album Of The Year too. His lyrics are terrible on it, and at least half the melodies are incredibly lazy. it's like he didn't care. wasn't inspired.

tomahawk's self titled is quite possibly my favorite mike patton album.. i thought mit gas was a slight disappointment. the self titled was more raw and unique , in a good way. mit gas is still a great listen..mayday , birdsong, and aktion 13F14 are some of my favorites. just the album as a whole is not as unique as the original. sounded more like faith no more part 2 rather than tomahawk.

DRFAITH: The point is that even if he didn't write the songs, i dont' feel he contributed anything of value, unlike Trey or Jim. His guitar tone was ok, but kind of generic,

weak songs: all of them except for 'Stripsearch', 'Helpless', 'Mouth To Mouth', 'Pristina', 'Last Cup Of Sorrow'. And none of those tracks are truly great by their standards IMO, except for 'Stripsearch' and 'Mouth To Mouth'.

Naked starts off well, then goes downhill IMO.
