  • Thank god he left, so I didnt have to face him..

  • Stick to hitting and fielding bryce

  • fag

  • Nice Ass.

  • randy johnson also had a huge leg kick all im saying is if you land on the toe your weight goes forward and drives the ball down if he lands on his heal it will throw off his balance

  • @hailmary232 most guys land heal-toe jus sayin..

  • nice upper body. legs of a 12 year old...

  • @jimmyk2732 double a now :)

  • It doesnt matter what he wants to do. The single A team that he plays for has him in the outfield

  • whats so cool about this. never seen a bullpen before

  • @kjdlbj23 He's the biggest prospect in baseball

  • 0:37 Background- Fart

    Harper- WTF?

  • @JuneBJB I got what from what? I have no interest whatsoever in world of nerdery.

  • 3 guys walk into a coffee shop and the 1st guy says i think i have the smallest arm in the world. the 2cd guy walks in and says i think i have the smallest head in the world. the 3rd guy walks in and says i think i have the smallest dick in the world. so they all go to the guines book of world records and the 1st guy says i really do have the smallest arm in the world. then the 2cd guy says i really do have the smallest head in the world. then the 3rd guy says WHO THE FUCK IS JUSTIN BEIBER.

  • @MrTacolover99 just shut up

  • @MrTacolover99 lol thats funny

  • gonna blow ur arm out throwing like that .. use some leg and push off that mound and bend that waist! use the trunk man!

  • UGLY lmao what is he doing stick to hitting boy

  • @TheMetsfan1986 he throws 96?

  • i love bryce harper but this doesnt look how he pitches at all.and whatsup with the fucky ass windup

  • he was a pitcher?

  • itsr wierd but if i see pitchers throwing it looks like it hurts.

  • @JohnPark96 pitching doesnt hurt only if your arm isnt warm and then you pitch it herts sometimes and when it does it herts alot

  • So according to your logic, all catchers bat left and throw right? Makes sense.

  • if he landed on his towe he throw faster and more acurtate

  • @hailmary232 laned on ihs toe? that is retarded plus you going to argue with randy johnsons fastball? he landed on his heel

  • So, from the time he was batting to the time he's pitching, his hair grew half an inch? I guess he bats left and throws right? Why did he change into shorts, t-shirt, and sneakers and out of his baseball gear? All I'm saying is watch the related video of "Bryce Harper" at Bat-r-up hitting, then watch this one of "Bryce" pitching. It's 2 different people. And as for the dumb fuck comment, I'm rather self conscious about that and don't appreciate you bringing it out into the public eye. :-/

  • @richjr1981 dude he does bat left and throw right. how do you think he plays catcher? js

  • @Nbaseballstud5 you could bat right and throw right and play catcher... or bat left and throw left.. it doesnt make a difference

  • @Bjammin1227 ya, you just dont see many left handed catchers. he plays outfield now anyway. so, it doesnt make a difference. XD

  • @richjr1981 Im sorry but it couldnt have been another time? he does bat left and throww righ so i think you are wrong and no body cares about your insecurities

  • @cfl990 Get a sense of humor, you putz.

  • @richjr1981 tell a good joke you baby back bitch

  • @richjr1981 hahahahahahahahah now we talkin

  • Comment removed

  • @richjr1981 u got that from world of warcraft.. fail

  • if this kid wasnt so big he wouldnt be going anywhere.. he needs to thank early puberty for his millions of dollars

  • @robman425 really? early puberty? hmm so a sixteen year old hits puberty and some how hits 500ft homeruns oh? Obviously its not puberty ya hes big but the look at the mlb, the kid obviously has a eye for the ball.

  • @fatpack87 im just saying he didnt earn how tall and how big he is. he was given that

  • @fatpack87 most kids their freshman year arn't 6'2'' 205

  • This isn't even Bryce Harper. At least not the same Bryce Harper that was in ESPN Magazine "The Natural" or "The Chosen One".

  • @richjr1981 Um, WHATCHU SMOKIN?

  • @richjr1981 yea thats harper

  • @richjr1981 Umm yea it is dumbfuck!

  • I see that right around 0:35 he is still holding the ball but his right toe has slid off the rubber. I thought that during a pitch his foot was supposed to stay on the rubber as long as he was holding the ball.

  • hes hot

  • Everybody needs to get off his dick he's gonna be good but everybodys dangling from from his sack

  • @jake94534 lolllll lmao

  • @jake94534 ha that made me chuckle

  • Hokey Smokes! Why the ripping on him? Art thy jealous that you can not have his skills?? I can certainly appreciate the kids' skills. Good Luck to you, Bryce. Bring us all pleasure in following your career! Even if it is against my team.

  • this video is pointless. If it was to showcase mechanics... you might want to watch someone else. Regardless his pop times and arm strength behind the dish are more than enough. Oh yeah, and he is an "okay" hitter haha

  • im not malking baseball in America but why at that age do they still use aluminum bats in my league in Canada were going into our second yr with wood bats and im turining 16 in october

  • if he went to the nl and pitched that would be cool but his heart is at catching

  • bryce harpers a hitter man

he can throw hard but hes a hitter...jeez

  • Jeez, The more I see of him the less I'm convinced, He's a couple of bends away from his train wreck. Hits totally shifted to the front leg, no legs w/ Pitches . Kid stay in school,

  • @isldeur Or maybe you should go back

  • this guy has more videos on him then most pros do

  • does anyone kno the kid throwin next to him? he looks pretty good better @ pitching then bryce at least

  • Glove side looks like it could use some work.

  • just seen another kid pitching and he did the same thing Bryce is doing here with his hands. I was wondering why the left arm stays tucked instead of stretching out.

  • @ccruz788 i agree he would get more stride toward the plate and more momentum if his arm wasnt so tucked in

  • as demonstated in every throw, he drags his back foot. you can see the line from it

  • In order for Bryce to maximize his potential as a pitcher, when his front foot hits the ground, his back foot should be against the rubber, then open the hips. that alone allows kids the ability to add 2 to 3 mph. take it from me, i signed at Clemson and learned this from some pro guys

  • dont confuse finishing your back leg drive with leaving your back foot against the rubber. he does not complete his back leg drive. every pitcher is going to drag his foot. that is just a byproduct of your hips opening. most major leaguers drag their foot

  • nice pukashell neckless faggot

  • yeah me too vvv my friend was drafted this last year 1st round and he said he cocky and obnoxious

  • my friend played with this guy, he said bryce is a dick

  • sweet necklace

  • what a fucking cheesedick why dont you go over Bryce`s house and show him proper mechanic HE IS NOT A FUCKING PITCHER he just howing arm strength HE IS A FUCKING CATCHER cheesedick

  • He has terrible fucking mechanics

  • Yeah he does...

"...he throws a fastball that has been clocked at 96 mph" SI Vault

  • well if you can throw 96 mph it doesnt matter

  • Of course it matters. If it doesn't matter then why do people talk about it? Bad mechanics will most likely equal injury because of the stress you put on your arm. Just ask Joel Zumaya, Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Pedro Martinez, John Smoltz, BJ Ryan, AJ Burnett, Jake Peavy, Ben Sheets, Rich Harden, Chris Carpenter, and so on. Granted, all were effective and threw hard, but problematic mechanics lead to serious arm problems and injuries for them.

  • Did he now? LOL, okay. I can't even fathom how false that was. What led to his ridiculous string of arm injuries then?

  • in the mlb network they said he did but they have no idea y he had that

he had a smooth effortless pitching mechanic what else you want him to go just fast forward

  • It doesn't matter how smooth or effortless your delivery looks. It's about deception, maximization of velocity when you throw the ball, and all the while keeping your arm fresh. Throw a baseball as far and as hard as you can and eventually you'll feel some pain in your elbow. Google "inverted w and mark prior" for me and read the first thing that comes up. You'll see what I'm talking about.

  • its alright ima believe mark prior has good mechanics and u believe hes doesnt

  • Ok then, but if you truly believe he had good mechanics, then what lead to all the shoulder problems?

  • alright i will remember that when i pitch

  • Way to give me an answer...

  • mcdonalds maybe?!

  • Could be, but somehow I doubt it.

  • and a lot of pitching can lead to shoulder problems even when you got good mechanics, since the human body isn't made to pitch it's an unnatural movement which overstress the muscles^^

  • You are correct. However, baseball players are professional athletes, so they should be pristine in physical condition. If not, it's very difficult to prevent injuries, but tuning your mechanics is the absolute best way to prevent injuries for a pitcher. Everything else is basically out of your hands. One example is Koufax, awesome mechanics but didn't pitch for very long because of arthritis.

  • @lecavalierfan004 just like babe ruth, david wells, and the fielder family?

  • Fair point, though in said cases physical build would probably be assessed first. However, Sabathia seems to be doing just fine as far as health goes despite being fat, mainly (imo) because of strong mechanics.

  • Im gonna go with Greg Maddux

  • Do you throw 96 mph an hour ???

  • Out here at the aflac game...amazing player...but ya ppl r right, hes way too cocky, and the rest of the players kno it and dont like him

  • Lincecum > ALL

  • @Sharks094 he hasnt looked that great recently

  • Timmy > Harper

  • Tim Lincecum over Harper? Umm, okay?

  • ofcourse tim made it to the MLB and has had great succes already bryce hasn't proved anything yet he has to get to the mlb healthy first.

  • and he's a pitcher...

  • hes fuckin everything

  • yep he hasnt done anything yet.. only the longest hr at tropicana field as a sophmore.. yup thats nothing

  • longest homerun with an COMPOSITE BAT of a PITCHING MACHINE pitching the SAME speed in a HOMERUN DERBY.

Prince fielder hits the bar further of a LIVE ARM with a WOOD baat, fucking arttard are u stupid puto?

  • haha rofl.. hes fucking a sophomore in HS when he did that.. regardless what you think.. its impressive and a bomb and a half and as a sophomore in high school throwing as hard as he does.. you cant compare him to anyone like that... and prince fielder is a bum

  • prince fielder a bum atleast hes on a mlb roster hitting bombs this kid hans't proved anything we'll talk when he's in AAA and hitting .400+

  • something just isn't right???

  • *cough* wanna be lincecum

  • haha he does think his lincecum

  • oh shit, he thinks hes tim lincecum now

  • In a game of failure, you have to be cocky, or you'll never succeed.

  • he has the right to be cocky, but he really isn't. in other interviews he's really complimentary of other players he's played against. he just knows what he's capable of doing and wants to get better at every aspect of the game. plus he plays with hustle. something cocky players don't have.

  • wow he's gonna be good

  • wiiman, every good hitter's back toe is barely on the ground or off the ground at the point of contact.

Go google image professional hitters and watch them hit in 60-300 FPS

  • @SadegoGG Are you fucking retarded man. "Every good hitter's back toe is barely on the ground...." Seriously, you need to get out of the sport of baseball if you think that is true. Damn you are retarded. Look it up.

  • @moviesruletheworld

How was that statement incorrect? Go watch a professional hitter at the POC and tell me his foot isn't almost off the ground. Anyways, anybody who believes in mechanics or teaches mechanics are the one that need to get out of the game of baseball. They are injuring our athletes, making our athletes act like hooligans on and off the field, and are decreasing there performance dramatically.

  • @moviesruletheworld shut your dumb fucking ass up he was right you are wrong

  • his mechanics aren't that bad, just a little unusual but so is his batting stance, look at his left foot when he swings, he is the only one who does that, but he bat weird and hits the ball 570' + and his pitching mechanics are a little weird but he throws the ball 96 mph, so it really doesn't matter, he is great at everything he does!

  • Of course it matters how his mechanics are when he throws that hard. Most of the time, it's always a question if the human arm can withstand that much stress when delivering with so much force repeatedly. Ex. Adam Loewen and Joel Zumaya. Both threw very hard, but with bad mechanics they suffer from a lot of arm troubles. In fact, Loewen's career as a pitcher is now over due to that.

  • i heard hes a cocky little prick too

so he may be good at baseball but if hes cocky then ppl arent gonna like him

  • ur dumb. i met him. he's a little cocky but not enough to bag on him for it. plus, the way he plays (and i've played against him in pieoria arizona, he has the right to be as cocky as he wants). a jealous person would say what you just said.

  • oh wow he can hit a baseball farther and harder than me......

but i bet u aint near a good as football player as i am

  • thats true, i was gonna play against him in a nation wide tournament but he didnt even show up since it was a seeding game........"im too good for that"

  • was the tournament in atlanta?

  • stfu, what a jealous cunt. Yes he is too good for that. he's throwing 96, hits 500 ft bombs and has a cannon from behind the dish. he's dirty get over it. And he's not a Lincecum wannabe, if that's what works for him then fuck off, 96, I think it's working for him.

  • hes amazing no doubt but griffey was pretty close to as good as him in hs and he didnt have those problems

  • his pitching mechanics are bad, he won't pitch in college, or he will hurt his arm due to all the double headers.

  • you're an idiot.

  • Yeah, cuz he'll have to pitch both games.

  • how the fuck can you butcher Mauer's last name that badly

  • LMAO!! Maugher!!! HAHAHAHA

  • haha Lincecum's dad created his mechanics:D

  • not every guy who looks like that is trying to look like tim lincecum.

  • Lol -4.... Is that b/c ppl don't agree with me that I think his delivery looks like Timmy's, or ppl think that I think he COPIED timmy? just to clarify, I am in no way suggesting that Harper copied Timmy, it's just something that came to mind.

  • LOL, what's with the name calling? I think his delivery looks like Lincecum's. Is that such a crime? Have you even seen Lincecum pitch?

  • hahahahahahahaha thats bad dude, at least google mauer's last name before you say it hahah

  • You guys are idiots. He only hits left. He throws right. He catches how a righty would.

  • wrong.

  • Again. There have been, but people have scared many of them away so many of them end up either quitting baseball or playing another position like first

  • pop up time is not decreased what happens to a righty when a lefty is at bat. The only disadvantage is sweep tag at home. The reason for so few pro lefty catchers is because of dumbasses like you shutting them out. A lefty catcher can be just as effective as a righty catcher when trained properly.

  • that's why there's so many in the pros?...obviously if what you think was right don't you think there'd be at least one lefty catcher in the pros?

  • hes right handed dumbasses he just hits left handed

  • leftys cant catch. but thats irrelavant since he throws righty. you are 100% right.

  • why do people think that quitting school at 16 will ruin his life, if baseball doesnt workout hes still got all the time in the world to get his life together, either way he will be set for life if he gets drafted anyways, why wait?? makes no sense

  • Im going to laugh if he gets injured

  • People that say "Hes gonna get hurt his rookie year" dont think about the six more seasons of high school/college ball that he would play and have a better chance of getting hurt.

As long as he gets a GED, I say go for the BIGS.

  • idk should he pitch or catch. i say catch for the Nationals.

  • Yeah but I could catch for the damn Nationals. They're so awful. I've never caught, and I'm left-handed, lol.

  • being lefty is not that big of a disadvantage. You can still catch

  • How many professional left-handed catchers have you seen?

  • it is, it decrease pop time because you have to step to the side everytime

  • his delivery looks similar to his stance in a way

  • He doesn't need school...and for all yall saying he will get hurt and have nothing to fall back on....how about the few million he will make for being drafted first in the draft in a few years....set for life

  • the kid in the back is better at pitching

  • i cant wait til he gets hurt and cant play baseball again (i dont wish this on him )but u cant quit highschool because if he gets hurt he has no education

  • he is still getting his GED

  • Whos the kid in the back?

and he's getting his GED. So he will have an education. Looks like you dont really know what your talking about

  • the kid to his right looks good i meant

  • i would like to know if he is a wild pitcher or if he actually has good comand

  • Oprah..... quit college, Bill Gates...... quit college, Bryce Harper.....quit high school=== All 3 are rich!!!!! Am I right?? People go to school for what? To get a degree so they can make MONEY!!! He's just another proven fact that u don't need a degree to be financial stable. If it don't work out, then go back to school he'll still be young. Get it while u hot!!!

  • check my web site and read the news about Harper skips High School for Baseball draft..

    videologup.webs. com

  • Stenw, priorities in this country are fucked?????? Where are the priorities better? Europe? They have HS'ers playing pro basketball. How about professional tennis players or Olympic Gymnasts? College is supposed to help you get ready for your career. If you don't need college to succeed then college is a waste of your time and shortens your earning time. If he were to finish HS and spend 3 years in college, he comes out with no degree and subtracts 5 years of not getting paid from his career.

  • wtf did metallicat2000 say youtube sucks they wont let you read the comment if its thumbed down too many times

  • this is completely legal, in fact he reminds me of Kevin Brown in the way he turns his torso a little bit.

  • Yes, I completely agree. His throwing style DOES resemble Kevin Brown. GREAT OBSERVATION, DUDE!

  • yeah, metallicast2000, thats impossible, 14 years old throwing 95, no, but also about him going to college, he said he is trying to get his GED this summer, go to junior college this fall so he can be drafted next year

  • Gotta love that. Priorities in this country are so fucked. Who cares if you're a fucking dunce, just as long as you make the show, yeah? Wrong...

  • this is what happens when u play baseball yr round ur dad has worked wit u since u were 3 lol i ,eam he obv has talent but he put himself together nicely hope he mkes it all the way but doesnt he wnt to go to college?

  • wow letsrun are you baseball illiterate? he comes set, pauses and throws. What isn't legal?

  • This is not a legal way to pitch from the stretch.

  • o and people another thing yea i know hes amazing.....but wheres the projectability?

  • bringin the heat from the stretch.

  • bryce is a flat out stud, ive seen him at many national tourneys and trust me when this kid steps on the diamond people stop to watch. he has some damn good talent and is one of the nicest kids ive ever met.

  • ye and he is on si

  • you dont even know what your talking about the kid was on a cycle of hgh his freshmen year and hes a stuck up asshole and he has no freinds. i met him at areacodes. but ill give it to you hes damn good.

  • When my son was at a showcase at CS Fullerton in January, one of the dad's who's from Vegas mentioned the same thing about Bryce having taken HGH (or steriods?) for a "heart condition" since he was much younger. I wonder if there is any truth to it... I've known of Bryce since when he played for the Redwings travel ball team when he was 12 or 13. My son played in a few of the same tournaments and he was already a big name in those circles back then. Regardless, I think he's a legit talent.

  • kyle hansen is an amazing prosepect who goes to my school and throws just as hard its not unheard of... harper is the ultimate 5 tool player
