even though i am a sri lankan and a sinhalese, I believe all races and religions should be represented in the flag equally. Even though the majority is Sinhalese and Buddhism, it does not mean the other races and religions are less important. What do you think about this opinion?

Have you ever wondered why Colebrooke-Cameron commission of 1833 only put forward 1 rep for Tamil, 1 rep for low-country Sinhalese, 1 rep for Burgher and ZERO rep for Kandyan Sinhalese even though they acknowledged a divide between low-country Sinhalese, Kandyan Sinhalese and Tamils which they claimed to want to eliminate?

5. Enjoy economical independence and self-sufficient Sri Lanka

Very little indication that point 4 will materialize ... why do you insist on the incongruous point 3? It indulges Kandyan Buddhist ethno-supremacist ideology while trying to be progressive. It seems to say that you share the beleifs of the July 1983 rioters but feel that ethnic pogroms are bad for Sri Lanka's image.

To be honest with you, there are 14 million sinhalese, and I feel abt 4-5 million dont want to give the 4 million tamils nor the 2 million others equal rights. I agree, tamil eelam shldnt become a separate country because that will only increase hatred and racism between tamils and sinhalese. However, the tamils shld be enable to run north-east within a united sri lanka. Ie implementation of 13th amendment or a federal system.
