  • Lovely stuff.

You seem to be one of only a few who play the song in its original key, at least the key London recorded it in . I noticed in my wandering that Diana Krall played it live in E.

Internet tab can make you crazy people.

  • I probably have listened to this 75 times since I found it about three months ago. Probably will listen that many times still.

  • Absolutely superb!

  • Bravo!! Very good!!!!

  • amazing as usual.

  • what the heck.. this isn't Justin timberlake!!!

  • @Herolake oh wow, you really need to be musically educated... :L

  • @LamongoD no u

  • tabs? please :]

  • Great version and beautifully played.

  • Hi, this is my version of "Cry me a river" - Diana Krall

    Hope u like it!

    Thank you!!!

  • I would kill to get the TAB on this classic.........

  • Lovely arrangement, very close to the original, and superbly played. I have my own version that is passable (couple of performances on my channel), but I'll be studying your fingering and looking to improve!!

  • No tab??? LOL - well there damned well should be! Excellent arrangement of an absolute classic. Beautifully played sir. LOVE IT!

  • Well this is the most sophisticated cover of an extremely hard to play song. I really enjoyed it.

  • Is there anyway possible you can get me tabs for this? This song is on V for Vendetta, my favorite movie, and your tablature is the closest to the actuality of the song. It would be greatly appreciated.

  • Yours is the best and closest version of the original on the internet. Great job.....

  • Lovely. Tone, phrasing, ideas... Hats off to this guy.

  • this is actually perfect

  • Thank you so much it was great for singing practice!

  • Wonderful! I had fun singing along =)

  • What a sweetly played tender version. Very nice.

  • great job!!

  • This is a great arrangement of a great song...beautifully played!!! What kind of acoustic are you doing it on???

  • @rockn0329

That is a Martin 000-17s. A beautiful guitar at that.

  • Please oh please put up a tutorial video please I beg you good sir lol!:)pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

  • beautiful love the sound of the guitar this song just sends the chills down my my body when I hear it.

  • very nice!

i'd love to be able to play the guitar like you. beautiful!

  • awesome

  • I love the original, Aerosmith did a pretty nice cover of it in the 80's. I wanna record it in they style of a bluzy rock ballad.

  • Thanks for posting. Wonderful playing and arranging.

  • There's a lot of feeling. Love this song... nice job!

  • Brilliant Tony. Great movement within your harmony.

    Cheers,

    allen

  • just wonderful

i wanted to play it myself

    but no can do

better watch this guy doing da job right

    thanks for sharing this video

    big hello from Buin, Chile

  • hey you should put up the chords or chord progressions you went through for this song, you play it absolutely beautifully and i would love to learn it like you!

  • Thanks for such a pretty cover. I just sang along with you and shot a video of it. You sound great!

  • amazing

  • didn't barney kessel use a seven string guitar? or am i mixing him up with somebody else?

  • @olafbigandglad

not sure. maybe wikipedia it? 7 strings are nice though. thinking of one for myself some day. cheers.

  • @olafbigandglad van eps?

  • @olafbigandglad Barney played a six string Gibson with a Charlie Christian pickup. George Van Epps was one of the first to use a seven string, Bucky Pizzarelli has been playing one forever. I was lucky enough to do a recording with Bucky. He played a baritone guitar through a Twin Reverb with the vibrato on and we kidded him for sounding like a Spaghetti Western. He chuckled and said "Laugh all you want, this guitar bought me a house!".

  • @olafbigandglad Barney Kessel played a six string Gibson 350 (1946?} to which he made many modifications to ie. cc pickup , volume and tone knobs He eventually obscured the Gibson logo of the headstock because he didn't feel they deserved credit for the sound

  • @jazzman5494 huh. that seems a trifle petty to me, but what do i know?

  • This is great arrangement. I cannot stop watching this video again and again. I tried to learn to play this song performed by Barney Kessel, but I concluded it it impossible unless I break a couple finger bones. Now I'm looking at your playing to see if I can learn it without any casualty in my fingers.

  • @appluntu

don't break anything. I don't think I play it quite like Barney (understatement). i read some place that his stretches in this were really super human. good luck with it.

  • @troubleclef Very glad to hear you explain this. I love this song and the guitar pro file for this, I tried to play and thought "WTF?? my fingers don't do that!" Your version is beautiful and gives me some hope.

  • @appluntu I had the same problem..

Does anyone know any good exercises for stretching your fingers? I tried pulling them apart but I don't think that's a solution... ;)

  • Nicely done and GREAT sounding ax! Thanks for sharing.

  • yes

  • u re looking like Gendalf with guitar )))

  • Bravo !

  • I might just use something like this for my audition. thanks!

  • Beautiful rendition! :)

Have listen to the version I've been playing (I didn't arrange it though)

    Regards,

    Kane.

p.s. Julie London is my favorite version.
