wenger has got rid of the halfhearted want aways and replaced them with players that want to play for arsenal. the defense now looks very solid and the new players he brought in are much more direct and will move the ball around much quicker. gervinho and walcott will really benefit with this direct style their pace will be hard to handle with balls over the top and through the middle. wenger has finally woke up and went back to what worked for him with his earlier arsenal teams.

@32wallace Clichy wasn't great defensively for Arsenal. He was good going forward but he left a lot of space, the only thing was he had the pace to track back and recover when he was caught out of position as he often was. I mean we've never really replaced Ashley Cole. Hopefully Santos will concentrate as hard at defending, but he is Brazillian so its in his nature to go forward. Then again the whole team need to improve defensively and work 4 harder each other. Arsharvin, Rosicky don't get it.

i would change ramsey with arteta and koscielny with mertesacker. mertesacker is overrated and koscielny is by far the best defender this season. arteta is a good player but not special he's the worst midfielder this season in my opinion by arsenal. ramsey has alot talent and is getting better every game.

Gervinho, Arteta, Wilshere, Song, Walcott
Van Persie
That's just my opinion, but obviously Benayoun, Park, Ramsey and others would all have a good shout at a first team place. Sadly, I don't rate Rosicky anymore and unless Arshavin can pull off the kind of form he used to, I don't see him being a regular. Either way, the squad looks a lot stronger.

@VariedLyrics i think u need to swap gervinho and walcott.. gervinho is a theiry henry player and likes to cut from left to inside.. walcott makes great runs usually catching the opposite left back out of position.. but they do sometimes exchange sides

@VariedLyrics yeh thats the squad wenger will use. id love to see walcott playing more on the left too as he seems more effective cutting in but we shall see. Him and gervinho can keep switching during the game. Also the squad has more depth and don't forget alex and miyacihi will be more involved by the second half of the season

i would change ramsey with arteta and koscielny with mertesacker. mertesacker is overrated and koscielny is by far the best defender this season. arteta is a good player but not special he's the worst midfielder this season in my opinion by arsenal. ramsey has alot talent and is getting better every game.

@dietasse24 you sir are the biggest idiot ive ever seen. your one of thoes guys that only see the attacking aspect of the game if u think arteta is shit. Ramsey is brought in to be a sort of a support striker/through ball Cam, while arteta was brough in for defense to offense distribution and midfield control. Mertesacker isnt overrated, he hasnt had enough time where koscielny has a year. Koscielny and verma for pace opposition, and mertesacker for height and intellegent positioning when needed
