@Blacken111 He did Nice work. These look like they would be great to backpack with, but they won't work in all dirt types.
My solution in the 1970's was to buy several long aluminum gutter nails for 15 cents each for my tents & tarp, just as you said, plus some steel 20 penny nails. The 20d nails can be used to 'pre-punch' holes in hard dirt. I also had several stainless steel kitchen skewers which can do double duty.. I took the appropriate 'stakes' depending on where I was going camping.
I wonder if a feild tip from the arrow would make a better point for the stake?

Just use rain gutter nails. they are premade, lighter that those, and have wider heads.

Hi, Biketom
i don't really know their wieghts , but you should use a hook screw at the end of the stakes you made.
Thx for sharing

You could use that option or make them where you are where you are at, if you can nothing to carry, nice if you can, all you need is a good knife.
Though the idea is excellent.

Excellent idea partner. That makes these stakes lighter than titanium. Wow! I'm impressed. Deffinitely a favorite. Thanks for sharing your idea.
