I just discovered some of Rory's music by mistake and instead of going back to search for the song I was looking for I decided to continue listening. He's great and so far I haven't found a song by him I hate. The guy is a phenomenal and underrated musician and guitarist. I also typically don't like much 70's music. I am more of a 90's and modern hard rock fan. So it's a little surprising.

Avid Rory Gallgher fans would be aware that Rory kickstarted his incredible solo career - 40 years ago today, on May 23rd 1971 - with the release of his solo album.. the amazing 'Rory Gallagher' album. This song is my favourite off the album... just beautiful, I haven't stopped playing it all day. My eyes always water when listening to it. So.. Happy 40th Anniversary to Rory. XX

Been listening to him for 3 years, the more I grow up the more I like this man's art. He died 3 days before I was born. He had once come to Athens, and my father missed his show. Ok man, the thing you just said is beautiful, Rory was for sure a great man with a great soul. His songs are all very deep, he gave you something very special, of that i'm sure. Rory sings about it in his song - 'Follow Me', and it's etched at his feet of his tribute statue in Ballyshannon. I'm certain Rory's egging you on to - follow your heart. So, follow it, and follow in Rory's footsteps.
