might you consider reloading this where it's a bit less grainy? it's one of the best ones i've found but it's so fuzzy in the beginning and grainy throughout. - just curious. : ) thanks for the tribute!
Jim Henson was part of my childhood growing up. His muppets just conneted to me when a was child. Thank U Jim for giving us Kermit the Frog, Fozzy The Bear, Animal and ETC. U were the closest thing to a Walt Disney.
honestly, i get teary-eyed thinking about his passing. the sound of his zen-voice calms me inside ( makes me happy) dark crystal - laybrinth ....my favorites.
RIP JIM..........WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I never knew Jim Henson he died before I was born. But whenI started watching Seseme Street the Muppets and now Fraggle Rock it's like as if I knew him all along. And I know that he's up there somewhere watching over me and all of us.
i'm with ya on that too!! growing up is inevitable, but doesn't mean we can't act like little kids sometimes...too much stress and responsibility makes life seem less fun.
yes! i have had a water balloon fight in many years. Right now I am re-watching Labyrinth (1986) a film that Jim Henson worked on. I also haven't seen it in many years. Great memories as a child.
Jim Henson Put smils on millions of kids and Adults faces... He will never be forgoten... I would love to thank him for so many funny and happy memorys in my life, somthing you just cant put a price on is happy memeorys Thanks Jim Henson from the bottom of my heart
This is a gorgeous tribute. I've been spending an awful lot of my free time at the EMP here in Seattle roaming through the Jim Henson exhibit. I've met some amazing people who worked with Jim, one of his daughters, and his wife. This man was so important to me as a kid...and I'm finding out that he's still important to me as an adult.
Jim Henson is one of my favorite childhood icons. Even though I'm only 16, I grew up with Muppets and Fraggles and I love 'em so much! My younger siblings can't feel the pure emotions in Fraggle Rock like I can, so they don't understand. I watch Labyrinth and the Dark Crystal all on my own, and that's what's so great about Henson's work, everyone can love it! I really wish he wasn't dead. Sorry for the rant, but I had to get it out.
I always find myself struggling between laughter and sorrow because Jim Henson was such a integral part of my/our childhood. I miss his sense of generosity and sincerity in the world today.
"I'm Going to Go Back There Someday" ~ So long old friend.
I was surprised how much that affected me.I born in July 1968 Both of those men were really important if you were a Gen X kid.And for both of them to die the same day when I was 21 it became official:MY CHILDHOOD WAS OVER
Very nice, I have always loved the muppets, most of all Kermit, and Ernie. Made me tear up a bit too. Always had good music. And the movies since his passing have been good just somehow not the same.
"People who like the muppets, the part who likes the muppets, is the child in them" I agree with that. I mean, anyone who likes those wonderful characters (including myself), should have a child inside themselves.
God bless Jim Henson in Heaven, and Rest in Peace.
Wouldnt it be kool if someone made the movie about Jim Henson. If he had drama in his life, that would be the magical part. he was able to find Kermit and Fozzy and all the muppets through all the hard times in life. I think that would be pretty kool.
I cried when he passed away and this tribute makes me feel the tears again. The muppets were such a big part of my childhood. My mom came to the US from Greece and learned to speak English watching Sesame Street. What a wonderful tribute to one of the few people who really truely made a difference in the world. Thank you.
jedinightwing, don't feel ashamed. I was in tears, too. His work was so much a part of my childhood that losing him, though he was a stranger to me, was like losing a part of my childhood.

@druidmechanics He wanted parents and children to cherish the time they spent together.
If there are "Good People", he was one of them.
