Only 30 seconds in, but I can tell this is going to be amazing. Did you do the disco ball scene all in Max? What equipment did you use as a replacement for the regular chroma key equipment?

thanks! Yea, the entire thing was made in max. Apart from editing obviously. I wore black and filmed myself against a white bed sheet, i then desaturated the footage and upped the contrast, giving me a perfect 3ds max alpha channel material. Once applied to planes i was free to animate.

I did film it in HD, but didnt have time to render the 3d in hd, and so i downscaled it.

how did you do this

dressed in black and filmed myself against a bed sheet. I then used this as an alpha channel on a series of planes in 3ds max 2009 and animated it into a music video. I edited in premier. If theres a particular bit you would like information on, please feel free to ask.

I don't know what chromakey is, but if this is what you can do without it, I'm never using it!

Chromakey is the green screen/ blue screen effect that is used in special effects. I didnt have that equiptment at the time so i dressed in black and filmed myself against a bed sheet. Thanks for your very kind comment. You just cheered me up before bed :-)
