the heal has nothing to do with the lynx, this boss has two forms

the physical form has 4m health, the spirit form has much less

after you damage the physical form some he switches to the spirit form then switches back

His physical health can only be healed by the water totem once the physical is dead the fight is over

The reason for the heal is due to the mechanics of the original Lynx boss. When you killed the Lynx in the old one, the boss would raise to full HP and would die quicker each time. The Lynx is like one of his "9 lives" the more the lynx pops out and disappears each time he will heal and then die faster. You would do this until the boss has no more Lynx to pull out and your able to kill him.
