@bdawk20 Jericho has WCW tagged all over him. Austin has WWF tagged all over him. They had brief stints in ECW, except for the Dudley Boys. For example, CM Punk came from Ring of Honor, but yet, he has WWE tagged all over him. You can't give ROH all the credit for Cm Punk's mainstram success. Nobody knew Austin on the mainstream until he went to the WWF. As most for the ECW guys. I didn't even knew ECW until like 1998.
Nothing against ECW, but they never drew. When I first watched them come to the WWF, I asked "Who the fuck are these guys? What's ECW?" I didn't even get the channel where ECW was aired back then. Most all of those guys I got to know them after they went to WCW and WWF back in the late 90s. And none of them headlined, nor were a household name in either company. Almost all of them, except RVD, were jobbers. They couldn't cut promos, had no ring psychology, didn't make art out of wrestling

Yeah, like not being able to use the original names of the wrestlers and putting a "core" at the end of Hard Justice. And sell it like Paul Heyman never existed and that Joey Styles died! Yeah thats real, and has nothing to do with TNA! HardCORE Justice = fail, and Dreamer probably knows that too. He's probably very dissappointed in the ppv to be honest. What a load. As bad as WWE messed up ECW, at least they had two fantastic One Night Stand PPVs, gave Tommy one more run w/ the ECW title and gave him a respectable send off when he retired. Did they seriously think that DIXIE CARTER, ERIC BISCHOFF AND VINCE RUSSO would give ECW a "proper" homage, especially with Heyman not on board? Screw these "kings of extreme." I have lost so much respect for them.

The only reason anyone has heard of ECW is because of 1) financial assistance, 2) promotion on nationwide TV and 3) help setting up pay per views - they received from Vince McMahon, who then brought the shitty company back from the dead, gave these out of shape bums jobs, got his production team to produce a DVD of their 'history', gave them a self-indulgent PPV and then an undeserved run in the WWE roster. And they STILL aren't happy. What a bunch of delusional douchebags. Get over yourselves!

ECW made mcmahon a lot of money with it's Rise and Fall DVD so it was successful and could've been if they had TV exposure. Ring of Honor has their own school which they run. Tell me the name of TNA's wrestling school (and no it's not Team 3D's school)

Hates him. Not only that, he loves TNA and Dixie Carter, and didn't want to sell out just so he could face Taker.

@bdawk20 Jericho has WCW tagged all over him. Austin has WWF tagged all over him. They had brief stints in ECW, except for the Dudley Boys. For example, CM Punk came from Ring of Honor, but yet, he has WWE tagged all over him. You can't give ROH all the credit for Cm Punk's mainstram success. Nobody knew Austin on the mainstream until he went to the WWF. As most for the ECW guys. I didn't even knew ECW until like 1998.

Nothing against ECW, but they never drew. When I first watched them come to the WWF, I asked "Who the fuck are these guys? What's ECW?" I didn't even get the channel where ECW was aired back then. Most all of those guys I got to know them after they went to WCW and WWF back in the late 90s. And none of them headlined, nor were a household name in either company. Almost all of them, except RVD, were jobbers. They couldn't cut promos, had no ring psychology, didn't make art out of wrestling

@sacco666 I'm not saying they were nothing, I meant that on the big stream, on a national level, ECW was a regional promotion that coudln't get out of the Philadelphia territory. ECW is better known for its hardcore style, not the storylines or the classic wrestling matches they had. They were unique, I give you that, but when it came to the masses, they had no idea how to get to them. That's what WWF and WCW did. They knew how to get to the masses and were drawing big numbers.
