  • After you put the note about something moving the pole in the back, thats all I was looing at! WTF moved that thing? BTW Teddy is really cool!

  • @dieseldragontamer I have no idea what moved that thing. I didn't even notice it until AFTER I watched the video. Freaky!!!

  • @StogieFarts True dat!

  • I think Teddy is attracted to your wonderful aroma! I can tell he is comfortable around you. Now he would prob think theres a cat on my face and attack my shit. Great stories Jeff! You got balls to play with snakes.

  • @dagnerperformance Yeah a long haired cat! ROFLMAO!

  • @dagnerperformance Teddy would never attack you, brother. I got him trained. Now, if we rub your beard on some dead rat carcasses, that may be a different story!

  • More like StogieSharts... that was juicy... hehe. I had snake stakes in France a few years back, mighty delicious. Ive got bitten on my elbow by a small rattle snake in my younger days, the wound had a reaction to the bite, and the two fang marks never completely went away. So now I got two little bumps where the fangs went in.

  • @1fatbastard Thanks a pretty sweet wound! I would use it as a pick up line if I were single. Not too many people can say they survived a rattle snake bite!

  • teddy is one cool dude.

    chuck

  • @cmunson59 Yeah, a lot cooler than me!

  • Great video, nice snake, and cool stories! Thanks for sharing!

  • @MeerschaumMan Thanks for watching! Glad you liked it!

  • yikes.......no snakes for me......NOOOOOO WAY!

  • @MrBlink182ishi That's the reaction most people seem to say. My father in law is scared of them too. I often joke that I would put a snake around his neck while he is sleeping, and he threatens to kick my ass!

  • @StogieFarts :lol.....i would probably do the same thing!....yikes!

  • If you get snake bit here by the local reptile inhabitants you're probably going to die if you don't do something about it. lol

  • @Cobunist LOL I would imagine so! This is why I would never own or handle a venomous snake! The only venomous snakes around California are really the rattlesnakes, but you only encounter them if you're out in the boonies.

  • I had a red tail boa that bit me on the finger.I had touched a mouse, his food then put my hand in his cage.Last time i did that again.Always have to wash the hands first to get the smell off.

  • @Pipescratch Vice was a red tail boa. I would love to get one again, but this time, I would raise it from a baby. No more of this "purchase an already full grown adult male" crap! Now with Teddy, I only feed him prekilled frozen rats that I thaw out first, and I use wooden tongs to handle it so my hands never get close to the cage.

  • Dude was this story just a way to get us to notice your awesome biceps.. hahaha

  • @Daftlilly1 Shhhhh, don't blow my cover! Hehe.

  • Wow great snake...I was really into catching snakes or trying to :) when I was a lot younger....now I just run after dogs. Great video thanks for sharing.

  • @curiosidadesextrano My mom is a professional dog trainer, so I was raised in a house filled with 9 Dobermans growing up. But I've always loved reptiles for their exotic qualities, and I also tend to sympathize with any misunderstood thing or creature. Except spiders! I can't stand spiders!

  • @StogieFarts wow that's great about your mom! I got bitten by a spider when I lived on the west coast and man it almost killed me...I understand the spidey thing :)

  • Teddy is a star - thanks for sharing - not a snake hater, but - I'll let you keep um :)

    Frank

  • @fmdickinson Thanks for the comment! One thing about snakes is that the owners tend to be educators about them, since most people misunderstand them and tend to stay away. But as you can see, Teddy is really mellow and just "hangs" around!

  • So, I gotta ask, did you get any infections from the bites? It sure does make for great YT stories!

    David

  • @burleyman40 No infections, thankfully. I put neosporin on it and a band aid. Just soreness (especially when Vice bit me).

  • I had a corn snake when I was young...it escaped and was found a couple days later. My mom freaked and I had to give it away. Thanks, Scott

  • @secretagent1306 Teddy got out ONE TIME after I bought my house. Fortunately, we found him in a closet and he was OK. Snakes are known escape artists. Many will head for the first heat source they can find, like the coils on the back of a refrigerator or something.

  • Not trolling or anything but what is the appeal of having a pet snake? AFAIK you can't walk 'em, play with them or train them to do anything and they show you no affection. Curious to know why.

  • @ThePipeHound They are great pets. They don't make noise (in case you live in a place that frowns on dogs barking, cat hair, etc). They are relatively lo maintenance. You can go on a vacation and he will be fine (unlike a dog or cat that will need to be looked after or checked up on). The longest Teddy went without eating was upwards of 5 months or so. They are also exotic creatures, and usually draw a lot of curiosity from people.

  • @StogieFarts Do they chew kid's toys, 'cause if my dogs do that one more time my kid is going to leave the gate on purpose. All good selling points there.

  • All I have to say is, better you than me. Jay

  • @SmokingDagners Don't knock it until you've tried it! :)

  • Cool snake. What do you think of the VBC tobacco? I usually keep some on hand and some times use a bit as a condiment to English or VaPer tobaccos.

  • @eikles I am finding that for the most part, straight cavendish blends are NOT the blends I am craving. They are not flavorful enough for me and like you said, I think they are far more suited to blend with other tobaccos. I did find one I like though: Peter Stokkebye's Vanilla Creme. Only had one bowl so far, but I remember it being pretty tasty for me. I still have many others to try in my quest for a good go-to vanilla aromatic.

  • Thus the reason I don't have snakes!!

  • @smokeyjoetn Oh come on, Joe! Two times in a span of 20 years, and they're non-venemous. That's a pretty good track record! It does scare the crap out of you when it happens though, but then it makes great pipe smoking stories for your YouTube channel!

  • Dude, that's some crazy stuff. Thank god the only snakebite I've had is with Yukon Jack...

  • @PipeSmokeontheHudson Yukon Jack does bite! Good thing you made it out alive!

  • Come on, Teddy... Just one little puff!!

Teddy is so cool!! Some would say he's even cold blooded!

  • @PipingAintEasy I tried to get him to puff (like his cousin, the dragon) but he wasn't having any of that shit. Apparently, snakes are anti-smoking.

  • i had snakes when i was a kid garters and rat snakes.got a few good stories.teddy is a cool snake man.great vid.

  • @buckeyepipesmoker I too started with garter snakes as a child. Then throughout my teenage years, I didn't have any kind of snakes. So in my early 20's, I saw Teddy as a baby and thought, "Now THAT is a cool looking snake!" Here we are, 15 years later, and he's still with us. They're really cool animals.

  • Nice snake teddy is your a braver man than me mate take care~mark

  • @pipesmoker1969 If you were here, I'd let you hold him. He may make you a believer and overcome your fear. He's really pretty docile and just slowly crawls around as you see in the video.

  • Teddy certainly is a handsome fellow!

  • @Matches860 Thanks John. He's a ham for attention.

  • That is very awesome!! How long have you had Teddy and how long do snakes live?

  • @SamuraiPirate88 I've had Teddy since 1996 when he was a baby. I raised him since a tiny little guy. These kinds of snakes live an average of 20-25 years I believe. I think the longest ball python on record lived to be about 40 years old. Some snakes can live much longer but this is about the average for this particular breed.

  • Smokes a pipe, has a big fuck off snake and does magic. Now that's one hell of a dating site résumé.

  • @TheMightyElvi I know! Too bad I'm not single. The ladies would be lined up for that kind of resume!

  • Great video Jeff..That's Boas for you, friend of mine had one they couldn't handle it at all but it would let me handle him, I think it was because they faft about to much. With Boas you either get good one or bad one there isn't much in between, fully grown they can certainly pack a punch. your lucky to only have been bitten twice I've lost count how many times I have mostly from young snakes though who miss there food.

    Cheers Colin.

  • @LightYerPipe I am thankful that the boa only bit me once. I lost count how many times I'd walk by his cage and he'd strike at the glass. It definitely was a cool snake to show people, but not one that I took out very often because it was a little intimidating!

  • @StogieFarts Boas - Has to straight away in grab pull them out, once out they calm down they seem to be very Viv defensive so once they are out that environment there ok. Hesitation seems make them more alert & puts them in defence mode.

    colin.

  • :) OK THX FOR WRITING ME BACK ON FACEBOOK :) I WILL ORDER THAT ONE :)

  • @patpatoo You're welcome!
