I just want parents to realize that there is more than just physical abuse. Growing up in a verbal and emontionaly abused home, I try not to let history repeat itself. I thank God everyday for my life, just wish that it went a litlle differently, but then again, I beleive that God has a plan for me. I pray for all the childeren in the world to have a roof over their head, clothes on thier back, and someone to love them.

I first heard this song when I was about seven--probably when she recorded it! I never forgot it and often sang the opening lines and chorus to myself over the years. At age 32, this song STILL makes me cry...Thanks for posting!
