  • Chase tone and buy items till your blue in the face but nothing can mimic an all tube bass amp especially with a full band in a live setting.

  • @KurtInTheDirt I think my 700RB II sounds better than any all tube SVT, and its way more reliable.

  • not much difference.

  • Anyone have any REAL live experience with both these heads? Which one REALLY kicks the booty in bottom end??

  • GETTING MY COMPLETE GK FUSION 550 STACK MONDAY!!!

  • The Fusion 550 definitely sound thicker and fuller and a wider range.

  • You can tell the Fusion 500 has more balls than that little fusion.

  • @Pinstripedtie Jason could have been just holding the mic a little farther away on accident when the MB had it's turn :/

  • I thought the new MB black head had its own built in 500 watt power amp? Why did you have it connected to a separate power amp?

  • @TheBadAssKiller -- I think that power amp looking thing is just a switch so the speaker can be connected to a bunch of heads without swapping speaker cables...

  • not much difference if you just fast forward and rewind back and forth between :13 and :36. I'm sure there may have been some difference in person but they are vastly more similar than they are different. I dig it.

  • Never been a big GK fan. I used to have a solid state GK some time ago, and the highs were garbage.

  • there is a massive difference in presence as class D are shit
