  • Who would have ever thought way back when working in Tipitina's with Grayson and living with Jeff, Lisa and Augie I would end up in Italy, meeting Lisa's husband frim Livorno. The world is small. Congrats Grayson, I saw the film and loved it! I was impressed and touched with your work. Wish you the best.. Jeanine

  • I love this on so many levels..............

  • I was a bartender at Madigan's when she and John Mooney played...too cool

  • I knew Lisa when she was in Seattle and I played with the Big Mess in New Orleans when we took our band down for Jazz Fest. I miss the hell out of her. I have some recordings of her playing slide and singing with a group called Zimbo with Jessica Logan, Reggie Miles, Shakey Duane, and I believe Ryan Hoffman. She is an incredible musician and person and I will cherish the memories.

  • great awesome song !

  • Takes away our fears and our pain...oh yeah it do...this song and her playing are magical.

  • I got this one down, except for the chorus.. I just strum chords... Anyone need walkthrough?

  • Ya!

  • Hook me up...

  • I'm speechless!

  • Increible.

  • its so much feelings, Man I would kill to be there, New Orleans, the magic, the music.. It's so beautiful<3

  • I love this song...

I saw Love song for Bobby long movie and I fell in love...

  • man, I love this

  • "Washboard" Lissa Driscoll plays at the Apple Barrel bar on Frenchmen Street in New Orleans every Monday night. She's been living in a shed behind Grayson Capps' house.

  • I just saw the live feed of him doing a concert in amsterdam, he got some an awesome performance, should be up in a couple of days for playback. u should check it at fabchannel . com, i mean that guy got some feeling in his songs.

  • I will most definitely check it out!. I would love to see him live!

  • He's singing about real people: "Washboard" Lissa Driscoll (he misspelled her name), aka Ragtime Annie or Washboard Annie. She still plays on Royal Street in New Orleans, usually playing guitar. I used to play with her, and with Augie (Rodola) Jr & the Big Mess Band.

  • @deltabilly1 I used to live with Augie and Lissa on Mandeville Street back in the late 80s .... I named one of my son's August for Augie. :-)

  • I heard this song for the first time on the movie like a lot of people but I truely love it. So pure. It's sounds like a real song. Not some sarranade by a pretty little rich boy. I love it.

  • There is something "lived in" about all Grayson's songs. I love his work.

  • I have to agree, His music sounds like it's coming from somewhere deep, like it's been through a lifetime and back. It carries a lot of emotion.

  • Watch the film "Love Song for Bobby Long" [this song is in it]

  • Yeah, That's where I heard it first. Love the film and love the songs.

  • masterpiece...

  • Gosh! Thanks!

  • Scenery and good music go very well together, especially when its scenery this beautiful mixed with a song this divine. Perfect choice on everything, masterpiece.

  • This song is amazing. Everytime i heard grayson, i gotta stop what im doin just to listen. perfect.
