i totally fuckin agree with that dude down there. the bass is just as important if not more than the guitar. and this is an amazing song and very refreshing to hear.
Wow, brings me back to the glory days of WDRE in NYC before that station turned to shit.....great old alternative station that played this song all the time.
Yeah. You don't see many of those. I hate the bands that hide the bass in their music. I play the bass, and I get pretty mad about it sometimes. A lot of kids my age say that guitar is better than the bass. I have to disagree. The bass can just as awesome, or even better.
they look like they sound. I'm begining to look back at the 90's the way I looked at the 70's in the 90's- lol. Great album though, even though alot of the songs sound pretty much alike.
This was a great album true. I saw them live once and unfortunately it was one of the worst concerts I ever saw. The sound was terrible, just way too loud without being able to hear the instruments....just a mass wall of sound. Still love this album though.
Thats what having two bass players does for you! Saw them at the Manchester Academy years ago, most violent gig I ever attended. I've been moshed up at rock and metal gigs for years, always a friendly crowd to help you out. Neds was full of 'hardcore' tosspots at the front spoiling for a fight. Ruined what would've been a great gig.
For me, God Fodder was the best thing they did. Every song was great. They managed to mix a lot of styles of music and form one cool band. When you cant think of too many other bands that sound like them, thats the mark of a unique group. I like all their stuff, but they kind of lost me a little bit when they decided to go in a more ravish/dancey (?) direction (which seemed to be the rage at the time) on subsequent releases and lost some of the ballsiness of the first record.
dunno why but this was my favourite Neds tune back in the day. Simple, but struck a chord (no pun intended). Thanks for posting all this, I'll enjoy trawling through it.
Yeah well listened to the "mock turtles can you dig it" and that is for the gays. That song is terrible and what the hell is up with that stupid look on the lead singers face? Anyway whoever reads the previous comment don't waste your time with the mock turtles. Unless you want to be annoyed.

Holy shit! I havent listened to this stuff since the early 90s when me and my best friend used to love it in our young impressionable early teens. He's sadly dead now and this just has so much sentimental value. And funnily enough - it still sounds GOOD!
Never understood why this band insisted on being catagorized as grunge when they were dreamier than Swirvedriver and Swirvedriver was grungier than them. Sweredriver is considered shoegaze so why is Ned's Atomic Dustbin not considered part of the early 90s baggy or shoegaze seen?

I have heard this song described as the greatest pop song ever!... but that may have a lot to do with it's abstract nature...? fuck that those games are keeping kids playing plastic guitars instead of the real thing, and in turn would keep the really shitty bands at the top of mtv's phony list.
This video doesn't come close to matching the energy of the song itself. It still sounds like youth, frivolity and energy. Same em live with Jesus Jones and couldn't stop playing this song afterwards. Still air-guitar to it when no one is around. Thanks for posting it.
these guys are great im not disagreeing, but to mention Nirvana as a wanker band along with bush is a retarded comment, there was no one like Nirvana and there will never be again.
Holy crap, this video is live again. It was pulled for a couple years after a WMG complaint. I wonder what changed.

Needs to go on Rock Band.

fuck that those games are keeping kids playing plastic guitars instead of the real thing, and in turn would keep the really shitty bands at the top of mtv's phony list.

Great tune that exploded on the early alternative scene. I remember this on 120 minutes. Thanks for posting!

This video doesn't come close to matching the energy of the song itself. It still sounds like youth, frivolity and energy. Same em live with Jesus Jones and couldn't stop playing this song afterwards. Still air-guitar to it when no one is around. Thanks for posting it.

these guys are way better than nirvana, bush, and all the other wanker bands of the 90s.

these guys are great im not disagreeing, but to mention Nirvana as a wanker band along with bush is a retarded comment, there was no one like Nirvana and there will never be again.
