Just yesterday, I had returned home from school to hear that my grandfather had heart failure and landed himself in the hospital. Him having visited the hospital many times, I just thought that he would be okay again. Around 4:00, I heard that he was in critical health and is close to dying. There, I started crying hysterically, knowing that he was young and had more to live for. At around 6:30, I heard that he died.

He was only 72. This song means so much to me.

In a way, I think it's perfect like this without a studio recording. The fact that it's not a clean and clear performance makes it seem so real and genuine. It suits the lyrics and makes it so, so powerful. You can hear real raw emotion in both the instruments and Gerard's voice :')

I can honestly say this is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life. I listen to it practically every day, and my heart pretty much explodes every time.
