  • MARTA trains have the same engines that BART has .

  • does this take you to GA state U ?

  • Nice video.I live in New York and the Marta is microscopic to the NYC subway but you get to see more open land riding the Marta.Atlanta is a nice city.

  • @BLOGTALK100 I'm also a New Yorker. The NYC subway sucks. It's overcrowded and it's full of bums and rats. Every system is cleaner and more modern. MARTA reminds me of the DC Metro.

  • I used ti rude end to end to "veg" out!

  • I remeber riding the MARTA all the time as a kid.

I grew up on that thing.

  • houston needs to get on the ball and build a heavy rail/subway system. the current light rail runs through very dense areas, and has to stop for auto traffic.

  • a train stop for traffic, that defeats the whole purpose of a rail system. That is like riding the bus :(

  • to be fair, it only stops at two or three lights, but sometimes it takes about 10-15 minutes to get through that three-four block stretch.

  • Sorry but any train that has to stop for cars is an epic FAIL!!!!!!

  • agreed

    LOL

  • @murfreebear marta doesnt stop for cars @ any point, it is a major city rail system not like ones bullshit one youll see in Dallas and houston.

  • @GringoESantoDomingo Dallas is bigger than ATL LOL!!!!!

  • @murfreebear yeah I know dallas is not a small city but it is no where near as big as atlanta. I always thought dallas was a chicago like city but when I went there I was amazed to see that it was more like jacksonville fl.

  • @murfreebear The difference in the size of Dallas and ATL metro areas is negligible. I have lived in both and Atlanta has more diversity and more of a cosmopolitan feel than Dallas and Houston put together and the most tall buildings of any American city other than NYC and Chicago yes even Houston. Atlanta has 5 distinct skylines spread over the metro.

  • MARTA has a terrible reputation, but I never have experienced anything bad on it. I actually think it is one of the nicer rail transit systems in the country (except that it doesn't go enough places)

  • It was a nice train system. I grew up near Chicago. Of corse Chi town has their transit down pat. Marta is nice but like you said it should go more places. I think it should goto Marietta. When I visit I ride Marta as much as possible due to too many people that can't drive using the Interstate system (not just ATL other cities too). I do also think the 75/85 through town is awesome due to the buttload of lanes LOL!!!!!

  • sounds like the Boston subway

  • Good old MARTA, how I don't miss thee (lol).

    Nice video, man.
