  • I don't care if he is a decent guy. This ass hole shit all over the united states and every soldier living and dead that has come before and after him. And to defect of all places to a country that considers America its "mortal enemy." I hope he rots in N. Korea. and when the regime falls, if he's still alive, we capture, humiliate, and execute this turd sandwich.

  • the only countries worse than usa is the middle east with the taliban nothings better than defecting to russia and going to see chernobyl in ukraine

  • This guys full documentary is on netflix look it up. He is officially the fattest person in N Korea. He will be eaten when the next wave of starvation begins.

  • I rather live in the U.S. than anywhere else atleast we don't have curfues, rationing, and restrictions. Our goverment may be f@cked up but the people are not. I'm half Korean and would like to see the 2 koreas unified.

  • Be patriotic, but also BE INFORMED. Otherwise there is nothing that separates you from the communist Nation that you are judging here.

  • " I would like to see the rest of the world survive with out the United States" actually the USA would be hard pressed to survive with out the rest of the world. It is not quite as independent as you believe it to be.The government also owns and controls all of the major media channels. Yet most people don't seek out non-government controlled media for fear of being labeled "liberal" .

  • @crspycrm The state controlled media here IS liberal! Moron!

  • THIS IS WHAT I CALL "A GOOD AMERICAN" ,so bad that the majority of the population of that country is sick in the head, the system makes them sick, till the point that by majority they supported the WORST TERRORIST ATTACKS ON HISTORY,THE GENOCIDES OF HIROSHIMA AND NAGASAKI. that must be for all the DRUGS they use (number one country in consumption)

  • @Bolche1917 Man Americans are a lost case, just plain moronic brainwashed lot..... Capitalism is so debilatating...... It turns human beings in just roaming ''living dead'', unfortunataly that shit is being spread around the world..... Is there a future for mankind or are we doomed to turn into consuming zombies ????

  • @calisse245 ....Says the guy on his laptop roaming around youtube freely from the comfort of his home and everywhere else.... try that in DPRK

  • @calisse245 Consuming Zombies.

  • @calisse245 ha... you're funny.

  • I think Kim was shitting in his head! hahahaha

  • Poor quality audio.

  • haha that old man must be regrettin so much

  • DEATH TO TRAITORS

  • @cbarsonfire FUCKING AGREE KILL EVERY TRAITOR TO THE USA

  • This man is a "good american", one of the few from that murderous empire wich is the U.S.A. As you all know they even know conffesing the use of TORTURE, KIdnapping and Murder, lately even their religious leaders like GRaham were calling upon the killing of Hugo Chavez. ALso they are always overthrowing goverments and installing fascist dictatorships or "pseudodemocracies" like lately in honduras. SCUM THIS AMERICANS ARE.

  • @Bolche1917 How long have you been in the North Korean Army?

  • @Bolche1917 it least we are not imprisoning half of our population in extermination camps and testing chemical weapons on them like the North is doing.

  • @GunsOfThePhoenix Excuse me my friend, you are imprisioned half of your population,in fact the U.S.A has the greatest number of people in jail (99 % of them poor of course),north KOrea is not esting chemical weapon on their population and on none else.YOU AMERICANS ARE THE CHEMICAL WEAPON ASSASINS. YOU kill millons of VIetnamese with chemical weapons (agent orange sounds familiar? and before you use chemical weapons over the people of Korea,YOU also inject your own people with

    URANIUM.

  • @Bolche1917 At least we feed our prisoners, give them clean clothes, give them a free education on our dime. While North Korean ones are forced to work in labor mines and eat out of piles of cow shit until the day they die. Inject our own people with "Uranium"? WTF, never heard of such a ridiculous clause. As for agent orange, go complain to the DOW Chemical Company not us, they invented the stuff.

  • @Bolche1917

"TORTURE, KIdnapping and Murder" - Crimes which are uniquely American, I presume?

  • @Bolche1917 now see its shit like that AMERICANS ARE THIS AND AMERICANS ARE THAT ca mon seriouly i am an american and proud of it and i have never done anything like that i just think its the "cool" thing to do to hate america well its pretty old yes we may be one of the most powerful countries in the world and stuff but why dont ppl ever look at some of the good we do everytime a country has a disaster america is there if ppl are hungry america is there to feed soo why say this learn about us.

  • @DKallyFWS IM sorry to tell you but AMericans (i mean NOrth AMEricans cause AEMricans are also Argentinians URuguayans Venezuelans etc) you are not feeders but the oposite YOU ARE STARVERS,you starve people all around the WOrld wit your Imperialistic Politics of neocolonization paying starving salaries like "DISNEY" in Haiti (one dollar per day of work) ,When Rebelion, you fix it with military fascist coupes (plan condor?) and to countries with dignity you starve them with ECONOMIC EMBARGOS.

  • @Bolche1917 Okay then well maybe our muderous imperialistic neocolonialist asses should close our borders then and just let the world fend for themselves, i am not saying were the greatist but as much shit as we give we are hated. If we dont give we are hated, well i am up for just shutting down our borders and just say okay world america is out of the picture now try to survive.

  • i just love how when shit goes wrong in any country its always blame the united states they will give us money.

  • Don't worry if North Korea Collapses this guy will not be arrested.

  • Fats got food sent to him while Koreans died around him in the 90's. Well done Dresnok you big bitch

  • I am a guy, i love kim jong il and i want to have kim jong il's babies

  • I bet he was captured and they're forcing him to say all that shit. I have a hard time believing ANYONE would be happy in North Korea.

  • @firepower01 No he wasn't captured he walked across the border wich was a piece of red tape at the time. and when his own men spotted him they said come back and he shot at them pretty much said fuck you, trust me I watched a documentary

  • @TheUSSRsoviet That guy must be crazy then

  • I admire this guy. I only wish for other socialist/communist to renounce their Imperialistic American citizenship and move to North Korea.

  • @rosihantu1 imperial and american do not belong in the same sentance... we are free people here :)

  • @worldtravel101 free is a word use too freely. I live in America.

You pay taxes and work til the day your almost dead. We do that so

    the world goes around.

Smart people live freely. The rest are just sheeps unfortunately.

  • Is he the only American to defect to NK? Or were there others before him?

  • @DayTripperID i hope he is the only person dumb enough to do that .

  • CR Jenkins says in his book that Dresnok was a nasty piece of work. I guess we'll never truly know who's telling the truth here but I'm inclined to side with Jenkins. Dresnok just comes across as hostile.

  • This guy is nothing but a cowardly opportunist. He knew that the North Korean government would take care of him by using him in Anti-American propaganda films. He lives comfortably above the means while the rest of the country starves and dies. What a fucking pussy.

  • I wish Obama would defect to north korea.

  • @pete5668 If you hate America so much why don't You leave it? Traitor! Terrorist!

  • @MentosMan727 Whoa, whoa, whoa. What gave you the idea that I hate America?

  • He looks well fed. Unlike those American people after "Kathrina" who'd been led down by their own government. Not to mention the clubbing of Rodney King who only committed a minor traffic offense. That's how the US authorities treat their citizens

  • @kax61 I'd like to see you spend 1 week in North Korea you pussy. Sitting there talking shit about America from your couch. What a pathetic coward you are.

  • @kax61 Strange then that American citizens do not wish to move to North Korea despite the government letting them down and clubbing their heads for minor traffic offences.

  • Joe Dresnok is a true hero.

  • I'm sorry if I caused you any trouble.

  • Joe Dresnok found out what life is about. This guy is tremenendous. He's a true hero.

  • I'd rather be tried for my crimes be imprisoned and even executed in America as an American than live in the 'Democratic People's Republic of North Korea'.

Thats not right wing rhetoric, I just dont want to live in North Korea.

  • That's because you're being programmed

  • lol indoctrination. No im not being over the top on purpose, North Korea sucks.

  • It's like you're even being unaware of sending me this email. You're being brainswashed all the way. Go on....find your way.

  • I'm not here to argue. Good day.

  • For those who are bashing Dresnok as a traitor/communist, please learn how to put yourself in his shoes unless your IQ is very limited. Dresnok defected because he didn't want to face the penalty given by the U.S for leaving the post at DMZ. You really think Dresnok defected with a mind of "I hate America, I love North Korea, so I'm gonna go"? He defected because he wanted to survive but ended up in North Korea and was forced to live and assimilate.

  • During the time when Dresnok defected, North Korea was a wealthy country that was heavily supported by USSR and PRC. Dresnok had three choices before deciding to defect

    A. Run away somewhere(North Korea) and have a second new life.

    B. Spend 20 years in the U.S. prison.

    C. Just die and rest in peace

Geez, I wonder what you would choose. And no, do not think of North Korea as today. Think of North Korea as they were in 1960s. North Korea was very wealthy during that time.

  • goddamn Jew!

  • Dresnok=another marxist loser traitor. Kom Jong Il is the evidence showing how evil communism is.

  • The audio quality's not that great. First I heard about this was on the Algezera English channel.

  • Hang in there American folks. Dear leader Obama is on the job. You will soon have your very own socialist paradise.

  • Lol, i love political extremists like you and radical leftists.. you people keep the entertainment coming.

  • Could be an interesting subject but the video and sound is terrible. Unwatchable.

  • watermark AND shit sound?

  • I bet he's given everything he wants and needs because they want him escaping and telling the world of how shit N. Korea is (which the world already knows about anyway.) Plus, since he's not just "another worthless subject," they want to give him extra special care ;)

  • What the hell is up with the shitty sound quality?

  • Long live the Dear Leader Kim Jong-il!

  • A very good and interesting video, comrade!

  • "sometimes I can't tell the difference between the North Korean propaganda and US!"

I can. The difference is with the US propaganda, you have the freedom to turn it off.

  • @cthulufunk One of the best comments I've ever read. Thumbs way up.

  • @cthulufunk Succint and poetic.

  • This kind of makes sense. Some people seem to suffer from too much freedom, they don't know what to do with themselves. That's probably partly why so many Americans use drugs. In a place like N. Korea everything is set in place for you and you just follow orders. Every day there is nothing but good news on TV and there soldiers everywhere making you feel safe. They don't even need to worry about money. As long as they obey they have a home, food (except for dissidents), and education.

  • Except that they don't have food... 1/3 of the population is fed from international aid, including aid from America and many are still malnourished. Ever met a North Korean refugee? I used to teach them. Its a sad experience.

  • The average North Korean male is a full four inches shorter than his South Korean counterpart. And remember, this is a people that share the same ethnic heritage. This says all you need to know about the country's epidemic food shortage.

  • It was meant to be slightly satirical...I am an atheist, by the way.

  • Does what you say have any relationship with Christ? you're judging the mistakes of religious leaders and the abuse of power of some religious institutions but it doesn't have any relationship with authentic christianity and least with Christ.

  • 'Authentic christianity'. (?) In the eye of any individual believer or sect/group/denomination they themselves are 'authentic'. The bible is great for justifying almost anything...from the most altruistic to lieing and deceiving to justify their position (look at Kitzmiller v Dover School board about creationism nonsense). The 'Jefferson bible' is good for just the moral/ethical (and not the 'supernatural') Jesus.

  • oh you are an athiest now? well fuck you! what the hell do you have against religion? I

  • As much as I try I do not have much 'against religion' ie I do not feel the need to constantly harangue those who 'admit' they have a belief in a supernatural being, and who claim to follow the teachings of a 'holy-book' - that is democracy....my concern is when god is telling them to interfere in the private lives of others, tell lies about science, threaten and frighten people with hell if they do not support them etc etc: ... you see the difference?

  • Why would anyone want to leave there? All those women of Korean descent!

  • I actually watched the whole documentary about this.

Somehow the proudest supporters of North Korea is people from the democratic and capitalist West by reading all those YouTube comments about North Korea.

    Irony?

  • The psychology of this is interesting (discontent with society/ones own life and needing an alternative, wanting the 'cheap martyrdom' that an unpopular 'in group' can bring...I don't know, I am sure there are lots of reasons). In Britain we used to have competing 'Communist Parties' who supported USSR, Albania, Czechoslovakia and China as 'the promised land'.....N. Korea supporters should remember my favourite adage 'fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me'.

  • No no, the quote is,

"fool me once, shame on... shame on you...? If you fooled me I can't get fooled again."

    ~George W. Bush

  • Of course, you are correct....I should have said ' a...we....er...a bird in the hand, is worth...er...like a turkey voting for...er...Christmas'. Thank you for..er...correcting him...me.

  • @twold4this:

I will tell you secret, 30% of Czech people admitted that late "socialist" regime was better than the current one (capitalist) is and similar portion said that they are "comparable" (my opinion). In the degenerated worker state period (wrongly called "socialistic") state had work for everyone, salary for everyone, home for everyone and free healthcare and education (for almost everyone except tens to thousands (depends in 50's, 60's, ..., 80's) of party oponents)

  • @twold4this, cont 1:

It was due to some opinion poll (those 30%). Most important is that the largest contribution to those 30% are from the most old people (who remember that), not from the most young people who are taught by media to aggresively hate the far-left and accept everything which looks new, cool and from America (consumentarist brainwashing :-(). Sure, under the degenerated worker state's period we had capital punishment (about 280 exectutions for whole 1948-1989 era,

  • @twold4this, cont 2:

some were political, some were half-political half spy (well, in cold war spies existed and since there were nuclear attack-plans from the USA which may include hundreds of milions of death people on both sides (I think it was by left-wing beloved JFK who was famous for clamly discussing this issue)... so the "high treason" could be considered as a serious crime just by calm logic independently on the ideological cover used) and some purely criminal

  • @twold4this, cont 4:

Borders were closed(but several people in several newspapers argued that everyone who was not in evidence for criminality was allowed to went out to "capitalist abroad" every third year (maybe not in the 50's which were truly brutal and undefendable in any aspect) and there were also very common holidays in the Yugoslavia, which had weaker regulation for emigration so, basicly, who truly wanted to emigrated had relatively good chance,

  • @twold4this, cont 5:

There were also very limited free speech and so on. But in the 1968 we had very nice party and state head ("general secretary") Alexander Dubcek, who made many democratic reforms (free speech, open borders, moves for allowing Social democrats to act as an allowed independent political force and even perparation for the democratic elections). People liked that much and didn't call for capitalism (only about 3% due to several op.polls), they wanted Democratic Socialism

  • @twold4this, cont 6:

Which A. Dubcek was slowly creating. He may allow some economical revisionism, but not much - Healthcare, university education still free, unemployment and homelessness still 0% (few years after the 1989 events I once saw a statistic plot in newspapers about unemployment and it didn't show data before 1989 with small note that before this date was impossible to be unemployed). Dubcek was the best, sadly USSR revisionists overthrew his gov by tanks and instaled

  • @twold4this, cont 7:

puppet gov. (I will use the term neostalinists for them) which tried to cover in Marxist-Leninist ideological cover but nobody serious believed it and after decade it was sure that none of bureaucrats believed in Marxist ideals. They just used it as a legitimization of the rule of the bureaucratic quasi-class. But at least we didn't have tens of homelesses frozing to death every single winter or dying of hunger,

  • @twold4this,cont 12:

I was many times insulted over my opinions, people calling me "to go to Cuba".Well,as long as I know, there aren't worker-counciles rulling the state as Lenin suggested in his "About the Socialist Democracy".R.Castro isn't A.Dubcek and there are many things which must change in the Cuban politics(even the rulling party admitted it),but I am opened to the idea that I will move there after few years.I can follow "go to Cuba"advice if the state of Cuba will accept me...

  • Hmmm....so he changed his mind since the day he and his three buddies ran into the Soviet Embassy, huh? It's really easy to say you wouldn't leave for a billion bucks, when you know you'll never get the chance. Right, Joe? Oh, silly me! Asking Joe, as if he could even answer me. Know what I find interesting? Joe and Jenkins were both high school dropouts and wound up teaching in Pyongyang University. 기기기기기 ;)

  • Imagine there's no countries

    It isn't hard to do

Nothing to kill or die for

    And no religion too

    Imagine all the people

    Living life in peace

  • Joe Dresnok is a loser who couldn't get laid even if he paid for it, thats why he went to that shit hole so that he could feel like a somebody. Douche bag

  • I want to see these movies of his with english subs

  • anyone who "defects" from the outside world to dpr korea is a complete idiot...its like defecting to a federal prison without even comiting a crime...

  • he found peace in north korea he found america in dpr :D

  • He's completely brainwashed.

  • looks likes he has a gun on his back

  • Joe Dresnok is a loser who has had no problem supporting a dictator who murders his own people.

  • He can't leave. If he tries, he'll be killed. That's why he's like this: Play ball or visit Kim's "labor camps".

  • Ridiculous. Charles Jenkins left. No one is forcing him to do anything. In fact, now he knows that he will only get the same slap on the wrist that Jenkins got for being a deserter, and STILL he wants to stay.

  • Agreed... Jenkins got away with quite a bit just by being too old to punish. This guy could waltz out (and probably back in) any time he wants.

  • i dont c what the problem is...y do u ppl call him a traitor???i just call him a immigrant..

  • this is ridiculous. He feels right at home in a country that won't allow people to leave and allows virtually no freedom. He must be on crack or something.

  • Once we liberate NK , such traitors will be court-martialed after all. Our military now has tbe world's best tanks and the world's only OICW-all domestically developed and manufactured. Japan,Korea,Taiwan and Singapore should all have nuclear weapons.

  • Haha it's that over confidence that screws up america. The war in iraq has lasted 7 freaking years. SEVEN. And Osama Bin Laden is still on the loose.

You have the most tanks, soliders, and equipment. And it takes 7 years to kill off a bunch of poorly equipped towelheads?

  • Have you read this comment?

"Once we liberate NK , such traitors will be court-martialed after all. Our military now has tbe world's best tanks and the world's only OICW-all domestically developed and manufactured. Japan,Korea,Taiwan and Singapore should all have nuclear weapons."

sometimes I can't tell the difference between the North Korean propaganda and US!

  • Traitor.

  • Is he a celebrity in North Korea?

  • He was an actor. he played as a bad ass American in one North Korean movie.

  • What-a-Nit-Wit!

  • I'm happy that this foreigner has at last found a place he is happy to call home.

  • This is a very interesting story. I would LOVE to watch Crossing the Line.

  • It's available on netflix. :)

  • This fat fuck is certainly not starving in North Korea.

  • He and "the Dear Leader" are probably the only fat fucks in that whole country.

  • They weren't feeding him well enough in America, so he had to defect.

  • The real story was that if he will not defect to North Korea

he would be court martialed in USA.

he was devorced by his wife

HE IS JUST WANTING TO FIND A NEW LIFE

and SO AS YOU CAN SEE HE IS HAPPY :D

  • I don't think you can compare Jesus Christ

    to Hitler or Stalin, etc.

  • why is this comment thumbed down? do stalin or hitler really seem that not evil to u losers?

  • It's a matter of weeks for Kim Jong II's regime to collapse, from its own people. No way to continue that kind of brainwashing in the 21st century.

  • Wishful thinking that will NEVER happen. You dont comprehend the level of brainwashing that takes place there. Those people are brought up from an early age to believe that Kim is like a GOD. And with the elderly of the country dying off in one more generation you will have an entire population that is cut off from the outside world that have always believed their leader is GOD. Asking them to rebel would be like christans against jesus.

  • Maybe we can start a break away religion. Call it the "Reorganized Church of Kim Jong Il." and claim that we love Kim Jong Il, too. But in the correct manner according to his scripture.

  • It's true-- they have it pounded in their head from infancy to never question the leader.

  • A good example of mass hypnosis and brainwashing. North Korea is the biggest cult in the world, and the biggest prison. That's the main reason for its massive army.

  • Joe Dresnok was Kim Jong Il's lover.

  • This piece of c#ap should have been flushed!

  • This guy is a double agent. He keeps an eye on them for the C.I.A.

  • He sure as hell been in the service for a long time LOL

  • Proletarians of all countries, Unite!

  • BWATER1 (1 month ago) marked as spam

He should be court masharlled then shot! he won t last long he will eventually forget to worship the dear leader and pay the price

  • I'd do that- without looking back.

  • Saw this doc on the BBC the other night. Can't recommend it enough.

  • What is that reason you speak of?

  • Well, a lot of you americans get brainwashed too, on a slightly larger scale..(ex; fox news networks?) Have you guys got any Independent media left? the difference, Americans have the free will, and freedom to believe what they want. N-Koreans have only got one option, and one source. try imagening being a north korean!

  • No the fact that 85 million people watch fox news networks, and it is therefore the most watched USAmerican News channel, gives them enormous power to feed you what they like. It's most of the time, news told from one side of the story, and selected news, they determine what you see.. and that channel, in my humble opinion is a conservative propaganda machine. And by the likes of it, you watch it alot!

  • Yeah, you know, we really hate our daily American Propaganda, it's just...well...you see...we just don't want to have to watch the same government owned news channel everyday, that's all...

  • the thing with that is, we can choose not to believe it and i DONT. foxnews is full of right wing, christ loving, gay hating, war mongering nonsense. i watch the news just to be entertained by the cute anchor girls.

  • They don't love Christ on Fox News. They imply that they do so that right-wing conservatives will feel okay watching.

You're no better than a right-wing conservative Evangelical, though, as far as I can tell. Go kiss a homo & have a baby.

  • This is the greatest thing I have ever seen! It shows some people are so desperate to leave the giant constitution and 2 party system to a life of similar disgust. Sorry america, for once you PHAIL!

  • Well, aren't you Mr Sunshine? I'll bet you're REAL fun at parties, aren't ya?

  • He should be court masharlled then shot!!

  • man I wpould like to see some of his movirs LOL.

Seriously, a bummer like him has had a good life in North Korea despite the hardships. He was an actor, a teacher, I believe he also farmed and he was a soldier. He married the daughter of a North Korean diplomat and also gives out lectures. His son goes to educate himself in the elite schools.

  • He is prob a hostage

  • Sounds like a perfect north korean. Wife left him, about to be court masharlled, so he chickened out and lives like a celeb over there.
