That is cute how the agama's first reaction is to lick the tortoise's head when he climbs up. HAHA!! I traveled to Africa and saw a Blue Headed Agama chillin in a tree (in the wild), those guys are cool!
I love leopard tortoises and I'm thinking about getting one! But I live in Kentucky where the humidity reaches the 60 and 70 percent range in the summer. I'm not sure if that would be a problem for the tortoise or not? Do you have any suggestions that may help me in my decision?
I can see two reasons this guy is not a bearded dragon. 1. he is a different color. 2. he has a line down his back which is in a completely different shape than a dragon's back.
I wish I did. There is hardly any info out there on these little guys. The pet shop I bought him from didn't even know what he was. He gets the same treatment as my bearded dragons as far as food, heating and lighting is concerned, and he seems to thrive really well.
