Couple days ago this dude in a mustang from 1998 or some thing got in front of my dad's sienna and hit the brakes so what happened was we got in front of him slammed the brakes and he got in front of us again and when we tried to go back in front of him he merging to our lane to block us when we tried the other side we got at the side and we stepped on the gas and he hit the gas and we went up to 100MPH and he slowed down and my aunt said ARE U GONNA KILL US!

Before the 2011 v6 the older v6 mustangs only got 1-2 more mpg. But, no one does their research. But, they are on average $5000 cheaper so that could be why too.

I think a lot of people here are pretty ignorant. They either don't know or don't realize that a lot of the foreign cars that you see in America are made in America...they didn't ship them over from Japan or Germany or wherever... Meaning more jobs for Americans. And by the way, the 2011 Subaru WRX STI ran the Nurburgring ring in 7:55. You can't say that's not an impressive time for a car that costs ~$35000-$40000. Seriously, get over your nationalistic selves.

A quick look on Wikipedia shows that the United States actually has more (for Honda only, you can check Mitsubishi and Toyota, and any other foreign car maker if you really like) facilities for making cars and other products than Japan. Nearly 3 times as many, as a matter of fact. And my point with the Subaru was not to say that it's the best car you can buy with $35,000...it was simply to point out that Japanese cars are not junk, like many people like to believe.

@MANwithTURBOVAN My 94 honda accord was bulit in usa, Most are not shipped over here, and the money does not all go back to japan, employees in US honda/toyota factories get paid and spend their money here. Dont blame foreign cars (especially japanese ones) for our loss of jobs to china. Im sure you went off and bought an american car and thought you were helping your country, and then bought some clothes and didnt think at all about where they came from.

@Jsiff Even if the cars are made in America, Most of the money the people pay for the car goes back to Japan or Germany, sure some of it goes to the assembly plant to the workers, but the largest portion of the money isn't being put into the American market therefore hurthing our economy.

@Jsiff That time is bunk since the car was not a standard production vehicle. It was a mix of spec.b, spec.c, R205, and unique to that car performance parts. Basically nothing on that car was stock, including the track specific tuned suspension, roll cage, seat belts, radio delete, and more.

@TheSwoopies You're fucking high if you think the power loss from crank to wheels is that small. Fucking high! Front engine rear wheel drive will lose around 15% through the drivetrain, and thats assuming it has a manual trans. so try 180ish to the wheels.

@TheSwoopies if the van is an 04-05 (last of that generation) then it has like 240+/-, and if that mustang is one of the earlier ones of that generation, those v6s had like 150 brake horsepower which is not even 150hpm, and add to that the usage of the car and BAM!!! yes you do have 100hp difference..
