Regional ITV was the best, it was nice to see their idents, a lot of regions opted out of this of course and I think Granada only used theirs for about a year before doing their own.
i wouldnt say all utv graphics were always bad from the late 80s onward they did just as good as any other region i think the itv one still looks and siounds uo to date though not old fashioned like say? the 60s was to the 80s sort of thing it is too contemporary in a normal way...
Yeah this is pretty pathetic. The graphics and production values are superior to anything UTV ever did. But it looks very bland. I'd rather have the ulster television logo on a piece of card (well sort of, you get the idea).

Never used in the UTV region - and to this day they refuse to use the generic ITV1 idents, thank god.

It was made for all regions, but never shown in some. Anglia is another example,

I am from the north of Ireland and can tell you that these generics were used just about everywhere else in the UK but this never got shown.

the generic ident from 89 didn't get shown in 5 of the itv network, 2 got changed whitch were thames and yorkshire
