  • calidad persa, pero bue...buen video!

  • Senna

  • Why no commentary? Murray Walker on this would have been brilliant.

  • I'm loving this season, and the one before...so I believe F1's future is gr8.

  • schumacher the biggest cheater in 1994

  • Who/Where/When was the battle between 4:17 and 4:43? That was immense!

  • @TopGearSH

    Yellow Renault -> Renee Arnoux

    Red Ferrari -> Gilles Villeneuve

  • @TopGearSH I think it was the 1979 French GP. It's Arnoux and Villeneuve.

There are plenty of videos uploaded, it's well worth a watch.

It's the best F1 battle of all time in my opinion.

  • For god's sake!!! Where is Piquet vs Senna, Hungary 1986!!!???

  • 5:38 ayrton show the BMW WILlliams asses whos the boss !! xDD

  • 5:38 show the BMW WILlliams asses whos the boss !! xDD

  • 4:16 onwards - Holy shit, balls to the wall!

  • F1 used to be so much more exciting, now because of all the safety regulations there is hardly any overtaking or wheel to wheel action. I remember when it was worth getting up at 6am to watch the race.

  • Over 10 years ago I decided to simply stop watching F1. I've been a MotoGP fan ever since and I didn't look back. Much more competition, much more entertainment, no fucking pit stops. And oh, yeah, overtakes galore!

  • Great video. The only one missing was the greatest overtake of all time. nigel Mansell on Gerhard Berger round the Peratelda in mexico 1990. The best move ever

  • 1:30 - 1:35 Who is the white car?

  • are all the overtakes from F1 or what???

  • @5AMM0608 Well, the video is called Formula 1 overtakes!!!!

  • @chrismarkbicknell m asking coz i doubt that some vids are or GP2 or some other else...coz f1 cars never flew the wayit has been shown in this vid....

  • @5AMM0608 Oh, fair enough. From what I can see it is all F1. It was a different era though, especially in the 80s and 90s. Miss the days of Senna, Prost and Mansell

  • 4:17 to 4:43 MINE! NO! ITS MINE! GIVE IT BACK! HAHA MINE! WTF MAN I SAID IT WAS MINE!

  • wtf is that from 4.17 to 4.43! mind blowing

  • @racefactory900 Now THAT is motor racing!

  • @racefactory900 Agreed. Was it Gilles Villeneuve and keke Rosberg? That was a bit before my time so im not sure

  • @racefactory900 It's Arnoux vs Vileneuve, quite possibly the greatest f1 battle ever =)

    /watch?v=TsUD0yOEE7I

  • @racefactory900 Arnoux and Villeneuve at their best in France battling over 2nd!

  • @racefactory900 Rene Arnoud vs Gilles Villeneuve awesome Battle in 1979 i think :D

  • 0:55 SPARK FIGHT!!!

  • stop putting shit music on the otherwise decent video

  • I JUST LOVE HOW F1 DRIVERS CAN BATTLE IT OUT I MEEN ITS AMAZING THE CONFIDENCE AND MOST OF ALL THE RESPEC THEY HAVE FOR EATCH OTHER I ADMIRE THE SKILL ITS AMAZING

  • Like the fights of Mansell and Senna. Allways spectacular to watch them overtaking.

  • 1:40 the only time an Arrows dominated a race.

  • try watching motogp, moto 2, touring cars, or legends racing; you'll see more overtaking in one race than you get in a year of F1.

  • 05:10

    In too NARROW way...

    Fantastic Michael!!

  • f1 creates the best sound in the world [screaming engines] and all we get here is music....duuuuuuuuuuuuuh.

  • Dude ya have to put Alan Jones in, he was one of f1's greatest overtakers.

  • Great collection ....

  • Are The Best overtakings of ever by 0:38

  • er zitten ook veel momenten in waar een ander vol met benzine zit, dus die tellen niet !!

  • the overtaking of Gilles is the best

  • Good video, Gilles Villeneuve & René Arnoux.......

    The best duel ever!

  • Hakkinen surprises Schumacher (from 0:37 to 0:41). This was a memorable moment. Schumacher later explained he never saw Hakkinen coming from the inside.

  • nice at 0.48 :)

  • Nice nice nice video !!! :D

  • Super nur super

  • One of them was '02, for certain...

  • Villeneuve Gilles and Jacques no doubt the greatest overtakers ever!!!!

  • Thats What you call motorsport! not Crashes But Overtakes

  • I meant the start of Monza 2006, sorry .. check this out :)

  • Always love the Mansell and Senna battle at 1:00!

  • Best Overtake- Mika Hakkinen on Schumacher Spa 2000

2nd-Villeneuve (rookie) on Schumacher (2 time Champ) on the outside of Estoril 1996

3rd-Alonso on Schumacher into the 130R on the outside 2005

4th-Raikkonen on Fisichella last lap Suzuka 2005

  • yeah sod the mansell one at silverstone in 87 or the one in hungary 1989, oh and forget villeneuve snr against arnoux in 79 - i suggest u take a look at that on youtube - it deosn't get any more 'ballsy' than that.

  • No doubt that those passes are all great, but I was referring to the passes that are not posted on every F1 video on youtube.

  • 40secs best move in F1 so far!

  • thanks for the video-- do you know if anybody on youtube has footage of Zandvoort '75 and the battle between Hunt in the Hesketh and Niki Lauda in the Ferrari?

  • 1:55 OMG David Coulthard WOW :D

  • I think the most genius overtake was by Mansell at Hungary when he overtook Senna. That was even better than the one by Hakkinen.

  • Quality video+Music!

"No overtaking in F1"?? - they should watch this!

Best Battle: G.Villeneuve-René Arnoux (Dijon, 1979)

    All-Time-Best Overtake: Hakkinen-Schumacher (SPA)

    2nd best: Mansell-Piquet (1987)

Best Single-Lap Overtaking: Senna's 5-car overtake in the wet (Donnington,~1992)

Best Retake: Alesi's excellent retake of Senna (Phoenix,~1991); but within 1 lap, Senna did the same move again & this time made it stick!

Worst Move: Schumacher smashing into D.Hill to decide 1994 Championship.

  • spot on - u know your stuff.

  • Heheh... After watching Webber-Alonso retake at the weekend, I think these might need updating!

    ;o)

  • Awesome video, five stars!!!!

  • good video crappy song!

  • This is Gilles Villeneuve in his Ferrari vs. René Arnoux in a Renault Turbo at Dijon 1979. Jean-Pierre Jabouille won the race and Villeneuve finally got second, Arnoux third place.

  • Just two questions?

Who is in the battle in Spa? Gilles?

Why in this video, 70% is just thrash overtaking ? When the engine is more strong than another? Where is Piquet x Senna in Hungary 86? The best overtaking of history isn't in this video.

  • the music is not so good

  • oh my god who were the ones duelling at the 4mins 30 point! what a race that must have been!

  • ALONSO EN HUNGRIA 2006 A TODOS

  • The best: Hakkinen-Schumacher at SPA

  • My favourite is dijon (france) 1979 arnoux - villeneuve

  • I love overtaking :)

my favourite is brasil 2001 montoya- schumacher

    great video1

  • These were the legendary moments from Murray in F1 (over this period)

F1 is just the pinnicle of motor sport and always will be, great days in F1.

  • those were the days

  • racings def not the same as it used to be..seems money is all they care about now and there hairstyles lol

  • angaling ng marlboro!!!!!

  • Around 5:40 minutes, don't think I've seen that one before. Senna & Mansell? 85? 86? Where?

  • Brazil 86

  • that were times....

  • what happened to 2002 - 2007. oh yeah thats right overtaking was in the pit lane 95% of the time.

  • @JoshuaJohnKnight hehe spot on

  • @JoshuaJohnKnight i wish theyed go back to v10's

  • @JoshuaJohnKnight also 2008, 2009= simply there weren't overtakes. 2010= REBORN OF FORMULA 1

  • @JoshuaJohnKnight en 2003 il y a eu beaucoup de dépassements hors des stands imbécile

  • mika on schumacher .. spa '00 .. the best ever IMO

  • Shame you didn't get Nigel Mansell's move on Gerhard Berger in Mexico GP 1990 (and, in fact, Berger on Mansell in the same race).

    But great video!

  • Yeah that was excellent

  • why have u put music over this? why not just hear the engines?

  • BERNIE ECCLESTONE IS THE MAN....NOT!

  • Just so you know, 4:19 was the end of the 1979 French GP between Gilles Villeneuve (ferrari) and Rene Arnoux (Renault), widely considered the best battle for position ever in F1 history -and it was just for 2nd place since the race was won by Jabouille's Renault.

  • 04:19 was just insane

  • I saw it too, way too insane...

  • Great video

  • That's 'My Favourite Game' by The Cardigans

  • what is the second song played called???? would be greatful for a response

  • YES SCHUMI IS THE REAL MAN!!

  • MANSELL Is THE MAN !

  • SHUMI IS THE MAN

  • SENNA IS THE MAN

  • Yeah Hakkinen humiliated schumi, hill and senna 6 times. THAT IN SPA2000, ADELAIDE1994, ESTORIL1993, NUBURGRIND2000, and look at senna´s adversaries Prost,Mansell,Piquet,Schumacher at the end. Hakkinen Schumacher, he´s own car, Senna at 1993. Look at Schumacher, that alonso who makes mclaren been in a trouble,Hill that who he take out the drivers tittle, Viluenueve, start best than hamilton but in the middle to the end he was a bad driver. Hakkinen, the only good

  • Senna overtakes 5 times. Schumi overtakes 9 times... only an example! Schumi, the best of ever !!!!

  • Not seen that one at 4:00 before that one was great!

  • What the name of the song at 3 minutes something?

  • It's O.k: I got it...

  • Comment removed

  • heh you have overlappings and other lot of unreal overtakings in there. the music doesnt fits at all, girlie barbie songs :P :)

  • GREAT VIDEO MAN !! AMAZING

  • Great video, too bad there hasn't been much overtaking in the past 5 or so years

  • What about Kimi Raikkonen on both Heidfeld and Kovalainen just yesterday? Or Takuma Sato on Fernando Alonso, last weekend.

Sure they aren't as frequent as they used to be, but there are still some great over-takings going on in F1.

  • I'm not denying there hasn't been some great over taking moves in the past couple of years, cause there has. However i find it so fustrating at times, when i car can be say 1-1.5 sec faster than the car infront, but just can't overtake cause they lose their aero following the car. Even when cars are evenly matched, overtaking seems near impossible at times.

  • Ah, true true. For example, the best part of the Indy race was an almost pass by Alonso. An ALMOST pass. People say the drivers aren't as good etc, and that if we had Senna or Villeneuve or whoever then the racing would be more exciting. No it wouldn't, Alonso and Hamilton and Kubica and Webber and Fisichella are all just as agressive as those two.

Although Jenson Button went on record as saying "You don't want to much over-taking otherwise it'll be like NASCAR"

  • That one was more about speed. V. v. good exit, very Kimi, and very good, but I prefer the more road-placement type overtakes, or maybe out-braking and out-positioning. Like say Alonso on Heidfeld (Magny-Cours) or Hamilton on Fisico (Nurburgring). Don't think I have a McLaren bias, because I would have mentioned Sato too, but you did. :)

  • Excellent..great fun!

  • can u send me the original video ?
