that would be amazing if songs they have made recently had been as good as the 2004 songs, did you know that Sugar Will was released to Warehouse members from Sugar Will-9.3.2004 The Gorge Amphitheatre, George, WA . I have it if you want it since you were a fan back then.
I remember going to his concert in '04 and these were like the "new songs" then- sugar will, hello again, joyride and crazy easy. MAN! i wish they were on an album! (except hello again which is on Stand up) but i wouldn't have known the name of these three songs without youtube! thank you!
i wish they would make an album of all the songs that never recorded.. like break free, sugar will, crazy easy, joy ride, dreamed i killed god and all the others... it would be amaizing, but i guess thats what makes dave awesome, they have all these secretive songs that you can only hear live!
They played this lovely song tonight in Tampa. I wished they would've played it at one of my 3 shows so far this tour. Hopefully they'll bust it out agian for Virginia Beach on Aug. 7th. Love ya DMB! Speedy recovery LeRoi!
fyi!! they sound checked this song at the 7/2/08 and 7/4/08 shows but did not play it live yet this year! hopefully they will play this at rothbury 2nite at the live webcast
they should release an album of all unreleased songs such as: sugar will, granny, help myself, deed is done, little thing, machead, JTR, sweet up and down, monkey man, joy ride, and crazy easy
boyd said they are trying to bring back joy ride and sugar will...I read in a recent interview with boyd....he said they are taking back control over their studio sessions, by playing together and not breaking down the songs peace by peace like baston had them do on stand up, I love stand up, it was fun, but it's time to get back to their roots and do what they do best and that's play off each other.
i swear, if anyone were to ask me what dave matthews song you could play on the guitar and be sure to acquire carpal tunnel syndrome....this song would be my answer
Whaat a band. This song is fantastic. Only they could blend their instruments to come up with this fantastic song. Carter lays the beat and the rest just twist their music around him.

Great song. I hope Dave works on the lyrics cause the new ones "Too much of a good thing, maybe not so good" just don't sound right

bwalter32 3 years ago
It debuted in 2004, and they played it the entire Summer 04 Tour and Vote for Change Tour, and then never again until it came back last week.

JTR was on LWS and an old song, there's no way in hell they're bringing it back. A studio Granny? Really? And Machead? You truly are optimistic.
ninjarebear 4 years ago
Granny was recorded for UTTAD, didnt make the cut

i would buy that album... but i suppose i should really just buy all those live albums

carter could have his sticks blow up in his hands and still make it sound amazing. By far one of the best drummers ever

Best jam band on the planet & IMO right up there with the Dead and Phish if not better.
