@flyipjs Yes, first plane....No, I didn't train at KBDR. I did my primary training at Republic (KFRG) back in 2000/2001. Doing my instrument training with a private CFII who also owns a plane at KBDR. Despite this being my first plane, I think we will be together for a long time. It's perfect for the type and frequency of flying I do.

@flyipjs Well I recorded a flight to Sidney Minicipal (N23) on September 10th. I am waiting for some replacement cooling fans and a heat sink for my laptop. I cannot do anything graphic intensive right now or it overheats. Plus I'll be in Asia for two weeks starting this Wednesday, so hopefully I'll have the new video completed sometime in mid-October.
@flyipjs Thanks!! Glad you enjoyed it!! I work in private industry. I don't get into my work life here too much because this channel is all about the fun stuff *after* work!! :)
@chrismdmb Funny you should say that. I have been planning to make a video showing the systems on my plane and the safety upgrades I have put into it. I'll try to get that done ASAP now that I know someone is interested!! :) I can also try to set up a camera on the panel during a flight. I'll probably have to do that when the right seat is empty. Next time I'm up solo I'll try to figure out a good angle for that shot. Thanks!!
@Bill1960D Hahaha Thanks!! You might have a different opinion of that particular landing had you been in the plane!! I managed to edit out from the raw footage my complaining of how "sloppy" I thought it was!! :)
@airplanepilot22 It was a very smooth day despite the wind check of 14 knots on takeoff. It was a little thermally over Block Island (as you can see from the side cams on final approach) but otherwise a really comfortable flight. Thanks for the comment!!
@airplanepilot22 Well it's to be expected in such a wide open area when the sun does it's work heating things up a bit. You just have to keep an eye on your speed if it's jumping at all (since you're slow already) and try to stay on that extended center line. If it's not coming together....go around (earlier rather than later)!! I saw the vids you posted so far. Keep them coming and have a great time with your lessons!!
You will appreciate your rating once you have it.

Cool, never been to N23. Is this your first airplane to own? Did you learn at KBDR?

Nice One... You should upload some video of the cockpit. I would like to see the equipment your running there.
