  • When I was a little girl, I remember sitting at the table for breakfast with my family before school around this time of year and hearing this on the morning radio station we listened to so we stayed on time. I love it! Now all I need is a piece of cinnamon sugar toast. Happy Holidays!!!!

  • Really hilarious!

  • It's amazing that you can find a 78rpm record in that good of a condition. Even more amazing that you have a record player to play it on. Stan Freberg replaced Jack Benny on radio when Benny ended his radio career in 1955. Radio stations played this every year along with their regular Christmas music.

  • Is Daws Butler doing all those other voices? I recognize the Fred Flintstone voice but I wonder if he does the others as well. Those voice artists could be very versatile.

  • Whoever can't smile at this, I feel bad for them. I may be blind, jobless, with my life hanging in the balance, but darned if I don't think this is a funny bit. When I get a chance I drop a "That's about the size of it," in tribute to this routine and Freberg's other Dragnet spoof.

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine. There is light in the darkness - and this time it's the Star of Bethlehem.

I'm not sure what I can do to help from here - but I pray you will live long, live well and have a life full of joy abd peace.

And if I can help, I will

  • Cool one!
