  • 1-2 foot waves at the most not even 3 foot

  • @cfmx121 why does everyone want to argue with me? i took the video on my cell phone, they where 3 foot, 1-2 we would easily go 55mph in this boat all day long, tell me this, if the wind is blowing 50mph straight in your face, how is it (in your retarded statement) 1-2ft?

  • i was thinking about a champ 183 cx....but i heard champs chine walk their ass off...but awesome rough water boats

  • @n4sir804 never had a problem with our 183 rough water is nothing, and on water smooth as glass at high speeds hasnt walked on us yet

  • @celinamsu55 oh that is wonderful to hear...thanks

  • waves

  • I don't want to sound like a nut, but that water looks smooth as glass for the most part..

  • @slinkeey yes in a protected cove it was like glass

  • Hello,

I now have a Champion 190SX so I know Champion makes a quality boat.

I still do not believe that are 3 to 4 footers.. I live blocks from Lake Michigan and when there are 3 to 4 foot waves you can see the swales more defined then that..

  • @slinkeey sorry, video was taken on a motorola razor.... yes, we were going right into the wind, and yes it was 3-4 waves

  • Champions alot of times dont get the respect they deserve .. they are awesome bass boats for their size

  • some one said nitros get squirrelly. why dont you own a nitro before you say that. For one nitro has the largest beam out of any boat company at 96 inches DC or 98 inches for center console. Nitro is easily the safest boat on the water today, its not the fastest but definitly the safest with my 250 pro xs i get 70 mph with no chine walk and 75 with chine walk. Maybe you should own a triton and see how bad boats can chinewalk

  • @nitrocdx24 ive owned all three, a friend of mine has a 20 year old champion that we have restored, and put a yamaha hpdi 300 on the back, and at 85, no walkin, nothing at all, and the beam of the boat doesnt always make it safe, your saying just cause the beam is wider that the boat is safer, thats like saying that the guy who works at mcdonalds is a top chef, its the driver, if you cant handle ANY boat at those speeds, you shouldnt be driving.

  • @celinamsu55 well i dont have a hydraulic jack plate i have a manual set back for my motor and i have it on the lowest setting which is y the boat chine walks so much. the original owner did this to keep the speed down on the boat. this fall we r raising the boat on the pad 4 inches to increase speed reduce chine walk and get a faster hole shot.

  • @nitrocdx24 yeah, i hear ya there, ours is "ok" out of the hole, but my buddies is rediculous, what kind of fishing do you do?

  • @celinamsu55 well i live in New Hampshire so we do a couple tournaments a year but its mainly deep water fishing ( 10ft or deeper) enless its during spawn when the fish are right up against shore. I got to tell you though, the mercury pro xs is an insaine motor.

  • @nitrocdx24 yeah i hear ya, im in Texas, we usually fish the brush piles anywhere from 8ft-30ft depending on where they are, and what they are biting, used to fish schools of sand(white) bass and slab for hybrids, but it takes skill to crappie fish and not get caught up on a limb, and i like the way crappie tastes way better than any other fish. what size is the mercury pro xs?

  • @celinamsu55 We fish for bass and only bass, my 2007 mercury proxs is a 250 and my boat is also a 2007 nitro 929 Dc, huggge fishing deck on that boat.

  • @nitrocdx24 nitros are a cheaper boat and do not compare to that of a champ ranger triton skeeter there about as good as a gambler but champ and ranger r the best i hav a champ

  • @browning107 nothing rides like a champion, slices through the water like no other boat, and we have owned just about every 20ft bass boat out there, we are real picky, this one, is by far, the best

  • Yep.. Keep the Yammy if it is doing good!! :)

Sad news though.. The company that bought Champion, Stratos & Ranger is going to phase the Champion models into the Stratos Line... :(

  • @slinkeey yeah, we have a full line of products that we will ever need from champion when we got the boat new last year for that very reason. i doubt ill ever get rid of this thing, she only has about 30 hours on her, more trolly motor than anything

  • But remember... Champion splashed a skeeter hull in the 70s :) I wont buy a skeeter though as they are owned by Yamaha now (Not an American Co)

  • @slinkeey yeah i remember, and no, ill continue to support our american community, a yamaha 150 came on the boat, untill it breaks, itll stay there

  • Remember a boat brand called "Winner"? (First Fiberglass Stringer System) I wish those were still around...

  • @slinkeey maybe if i seen one, im only 20, im sure my dad does, he may have owned one lol

  • I have been in the market for a Champion just for the fact that I inland fish mostly, but would also want to be comfortable bringing it out on Lake Michigan.

I still do not think those are 3-4 footers, but if you say so then ok..

  • Yes, Champions handle very well.

  • @slinkeey yeah, the new designed v hull is truely amazing, ive road in some nice boats, but in my opinion, you cant beat the way a champion rides, even at high speeds, it doesnt get squirrely like skeeters and nitros would

  • Yes, Champions have a great ride.

No, those are not 3-4ft waves...

  • @slinkeey yeah one of the best rides, and yes, the wind was blowing about 40mph that day, we were in a protected area behind a road at first, and it doesnt seem like 3-4foot waves because we are driving on top of them... when we would slow down to fish a brush pile, the front of the boat would submurge down into the water with every wave.
