They actually got that right, but the problem is people in the US grew up with FUNImations bad dubbing which they at first called it "Kameyamaya" (Hawaiian prounounciation from the King who conquered the islands in 1810). Which they later fixed in the redub.
Toriyama said wen creating the name he did not use the Hawaiian name, it was Kame's attack he said it should be Kame something-ha and his wife said make it Kame Hame HA!

I'd Rather have Paramount secure the rights for a reboot due to their accurate adaptations. If they do, im looking for chronologic order from the events of DB, meeting of the original characters, building him up to as an adult, and let the story work from there. If i were to make a choice for the role of Goku, I'd choose Brendan Fraser, cuz he's still fit, funny, he acts like a manchild from his earlier films, & he wouldn't be horribly dull as chatwin was.
