Nicely done! Did you end up using the two screws for the back emblem? I couldn't reach the left screw so I used some brute force approach for the rear emblem and it snapped right off. Right now the rear is just stuck with adhesive but I am not sure if it will hold when it rains/snows or when I go in for a car wash.
@tapanpatel88 difficult to remember now, pretty sure I did it with just adhesive. Looking back at the video that would have been pretty hard to get the screws back in there.
@krkirkpat Did you encounter any issues during car washes/rain/snow? Seeing that you put this almost a year ago I would assume it's holding up pretty well.
@tapanpatel88 No problems to speak of yet. Keep in mind I live in California, so it hasn't been the toughest of weather conditions :). I think the adhesive works pretty good though.
Consumer Reports is out with its annual reliability rankings. Here is the list of the 10 best 2011 model year autos for predicted reliability followed by the 10 least reliable vehicles. 1.Lexus CT 200h 2.Honda CR-Z 3.Infiniti QX56 4.Scion xD 5.Toyota Highlander (4-cyl.) 6.Lexus ES 7.Nissan Titan 8.Honda Fit 9.Toyota Prius 10.Toyota RAV4 (4-cyl.) .
did you get The Art Of Speed plate too because if you put that plat eon the front you wouldnt have too had shave the wing down and you wouldnt be able to see the H behind the emblem
@uguess94 I did get the art of speed plate, but I didn't really like the way it looked so I didn't put it on. You are right though that I probably wouldn't have had to shave that section though if I used that plate.
@krkirkpat yea becauase i just did it to my car and i was jus lookin up vids on youtube and saw this and wasnt sure if you got it because i bought it from importshark like you said in the comments (great btw came quick) and i put it on the front and back but i got my car in black so its not that noticeable but your review help a lot & btw what are your thoughts on the car itself
i bought my emblems online from sfr, and called around and one of the dealerships around me debadged the back for free as well as put the new emblems on for free, so i'd call around before you try to do anything yourself
I thought the 3.8 came with the wing emblem, then I saw the 2.0T that I have with one yesterday... It's really dumb that Hyundai wouldn't just make the wing emblem the standard emblem. I sure as hell am not handy enough to do that myself, or rich enough to pay 500 bucks for a dealership to replace a piece of plastic for me. Total brain fart on Hyundai's part
@attitude8x I asked once and I got a quote of $500 including the parts. That wasn't worth it for me. I am seeing a lot of coupes now where the dealers put this on before they sell the car though...

you got a fake emblem
arctyler 1 month ago
it doesnt mount flush cuz you got an ebay type emblem, aka a clone the real ones have a cross type center rather than that vertical one.
