  • It's not Irish, it's not Scottish, it comes from the north of England. You don't have to have the 'celtic spirit' - whatever that is, to sing it.

  • karen matherson, she as the voice of an angle, mellow and sweet.

  • I stumbled on this while listening to Ossian, my favorite Scottish group, who sings this song. I now love both.

  • is Scotland...

  • Lovely. I assume it is a cover (a very good one) of the superb Tony Cuffe song on one of the Ossian albums from the 1970s. If you not heard them, give yourself a treat.

  • Yes, this one is SO touching. Well the whole album is just fine, just like any other album by Capercaillie.

Their music makes one love Scotland and yearn for it, really! Well, there is a couple more things can make one love Scotland, sure thing LOL.

  • nice video, and i like this song, it would be the only song in English that i add to a playlist i made for this band, i like their songs in gaelic, it is my favorite band from Scotland :) greetings from Panama, thanks for uploading the video

  • beautiful as usual from karen matheson and capercaillie

  • Nice song. Has shades of 'The Night Visiting Song' and 'When Barney Flew Over The Hills' with a bit more to it.

  • it is a nice song Uistman , i dont know the songs you mention , i used to love to catch the highland sessions shown on tv but that is a few years since i last saw those .
