how do you like the jlt? im thinking about getting one because i already have a diablosport tuner and there's a jlt tune on there so im wondering if its worth the money?
@TheBassman9211 Check your state regulation to be sure, but it's just a axle back muffler swap. as long as you don't touch the cats, you should be sweet.
hey its me again with a new problem haha, does anyone know if they started to use different muffler brackets starting in 2007? i am wondering because i heard that they started to and this might be the reason that my muffler used to rub a little, there is a place that sells the brackets that would make it work with an after market exhaust, thanks for any help you can give me.
I heard the same thing, the website I ordered it off of claimed that its not true, if I were you I would call your Ford dealership, but I'm not having any problems with mine and I got a 2008.
The pop can also be pressures changes due to not warming it up enough. The heat change can cause it because up rapid pressure change when you heat up the air
@regretlesssandiego7 it could be but is not in this case. Your thinking more highly tuned cars. This is just resonance through the tip its safe and no problem
Lololololz.. the poping is due to burning of excessive condensation in the exhaust pipe, and resonance through the tip.. Don't worry, its not a problem unless you have a loud BANG!!! from back file.. enjoy the pop.. I do, its Cooooooool!!
I did at first but then I went up to ace hardware and got a longer bolt same thread for the front hanger and about 4 washers and now it hangs low enough that it doesn't. Hope this helps.
thanks i also went to ace and got a couble simms and shimied the brackets down and over. how did you make it sit lower due to their being two bolts holding it to the car? one on the side and the other on the bottom?
Any one considering buying this do it for sure, just got mine today and installed it, amazing this video and no video can do it justice. It is so loud.
Same HP, as stated before, its just an axle back, purely for sound. If you want actual HP gain, go custom 2.5' dual full exhaust, but then you'd need a pretty comprehensive bolt ons to actually notice any major improvement in HP, as the stock exhaust is pretty good in our cars.
Its just an axle back, why should it be expensive? just a steel pipe with some metal flaps inside for resonance. I personally like the sound. Its unique!
Awesome, I have an 08 V6 and I was looking into it cuz the stock exhaust right after you get above 2500 rpms it gets less loud. Did it take long for it to break in, like was it ricey at all?
Haha exhausts don't need breaking in, there's nothing moving that needs breaking in. But it does settle a little after a few weeks and doesn't pop as much. Still loud though, and I'd recommend a JLT intake with 93 Octane performance tune, made the car sound even deeper and I can notice a little gain in power too!
how much does this cost where can i get one

are you having problems with yours melting the rim of your muffler cut out on your bumper, mainly on the top where it touches?
mustangman17218 3 years ago
Nope, for my car the muffler sits a good 1/2" from the bumper, so no melting.

mustangman17218 2 years ago
I adjusted all the brackets, then used washers which allowed it to hang lower. The front bolt I replaced with a longer one with the same thread.

I was just wondering if these pipes make you lose or gain hp or does it just stay relativly the same

Thanks, is it a lot louder than stock, enough to notice a difference, and is it a muffler delete?
hafunny2 3 years ago
It is much much louder than stock, definitely a big difference. I almost have to back off on the acc. pedal everytime I pass a cop car haha.
and yes it is a muffler delete. like the loud mouths.
